Hey, don't want to stir the heated debate about the embattled Proposition 19. But I keep talking to people about 19, and am just astounded by how un-knowledgeable most people are. Most don't seem have a clue what it's about, just this vague concept: legalize weed, cool man !

I guess that's how the American public has become in general, they catch the surface advertising, and go with it. Takes too much time to get educated about the deeper issues that politicians never mention -- that's how we got the war in Iraq, not to mention good 'ol NAFTA.

Anyway, i found a site that has some fascinating info about Prop 19 I hadn't checked out before. Marijuana Users Against Proposition 19 Made by stoners, not the 'reefer madness' crowd. Thanks guys, woke me up !

That entire site is garbage! why should i have to register (med card) to smoke pot? I dont have to register to drink liquor. Plus i have a federal drivers license i cant get a med card without losing my cdl. That site claims greed to be the reason to vote against prop 19. Prop 19 makes it completely legal for me to grow my own weed without being in some registry somewhere. Greed is the reason im voting for it. I dont give a fuck if phillip morris is going to start selling pot they wont get a dime of my money! Go spew that garbage somewhere else!:mad:

One think that site does have right is that prop 19 will put the medicinal pot industry out of business...and thats why that site exist,to save Dennis Perons job. Im not buying that garbage!

So don't, but don't go bashing the guy who is the reason we can smoke now. He did so much more for the Marijuana industry than what you think. So out of respect for a great man watch your mouth when speaking about him. Now if you feel that 19 is something you want, then vote yes. But not all of us share your view on it. I personally am thinking of not voting for it at all because both sides have far to many pro's and cons. Seeing as I grow for Medical patients and reasons, I'm a little sketchy about some of the fine print of 19. But overall it is a step twards freedom, though I think heavy Taxation and it still being listed under Federal law as a drug to be MAJOR set backs. But if we can fight for a 19.5 or 19 2.0 lol which addressed these issues I think it would be pretty much perfect.

Vote yes on 19. Help end this "drug war" being waged against our people.

How about some civility here, this is the problem with our whole political system now. If people don't agree with something they resort to badgering and name calling (mostly republican's). If you don't agree with something then voice your opinion but respect the other persons right to their view.

If everyone is thinking alike then someones not thinking.

Thats a ridiculous argument...granted the law has its flaws but not to vote on it simply because its flawed doesnt make sense,Laws can be amended after the fact.Why do we need to wait two or four more years to stop putting people in jail in order to keep your pockets full. If greed is the motive your part of the problem not the solution. Like i said earlier not everyone can get a med card but i didnt hear any solution for that issue from you.I dont expect to change your vote you have a vested interest in prop 19 not passing i only hope others see through your spew, your not out to help anyone (medical,my ass) only grow your pockets.Its all about simple economics with the dispensory crowd keep the supply low while keeping the price high.Prop 19 would change all that.

im not trying to be man,im just getting tired of the bs....i just hate how the no voters are always bringing up monsato.and are afraid they are going to get involved...so what if they do,its not like we cant go online and order some seeds from canada or where-ever,like we do now.or grow some plants ourselves male and female and wow you just made yourself thousands of pure marijuana seeds,the big corporations get involved its not like they are going to produce a bad product because well then they are gonna be out of buisness very quickly....

on another note this whole prop is mainly for people to grow there own,and to be in poesession of it without being punished.,yeah they decriminalized it but you still get a ticket and lose your pot at the same time...

^ yeah, I hear you. I knew you were being sarcastic. :) Newt is my favorite prohib to hammer on. he actually did call for the death penalty for having 2 oz. or more of herb. :eek: it was part of the Repub's Contract on America after they took the congress in '94.

i just had a thought,if this does pass what are the odds of there being marijuana riots,because im pretty sure the feds are going to go full force on any known marijuana related buisness/person...its only 5 days away...

but im having a strong feeling it wont pass,and then off i go to get my non medical needed med card,after i spend a few hrs at the dmv to get my id card....


ahh so sad i have to fake a medical reason like most of you have just to be able to smoke...hahaha..i mean i have injurys that pot may or not help...but im not a cancer patient or handicapped or have any severe illness that mj would be great for....

90% of card holders use very lame excuses to obtain a rec for pot....face it you just want to get stoned,dont be ashamed of that...

im rambling on.but as im reading more and more about 19 there are a lot of problems that will arise if it passes and lots of continuing problems if it doesnt pass..

but even if it does pass i think the feds are going to do alot of damage to the state of california.

i like the new ad for the no on 19,,,,stating that would you rather smoke pot or would you rather your kids get an education.....this here is rediculous,because the entire country requires the citizens to have a proper basic education,so why should we need to pay money for something thats required by the country????????
