Buddy once told me of a recipe he calls "firecrackers"; apparently he uses Ritz cookies and mixes his dank in between the cookie with the peanut-butter (or whatever they use) to make what he calls one of the best food/kush related experiences he has ever had. I haven't tried it myself, curious if any of you fuckers have done it or are willing.
Sounds yum! Where's mine?
sscash theres a sticky on how to make "firecrackers" here just type it in the search
I don't see how that's relevant to what I posted, where did I ask for instructions?
well i got a nice buzz that lasted for 3-4 hours but i dont think i had 100% of the buzz or it just wasnt enough!
this has been my first "success" when it come to eating..
i'd rate it (without trying anything else)
6/10 I THINK! :P
got a buzz but not at all an overwhelming buzz..
Just earlier today I ventured into the edibles isle and for the first time made some firecrackers. The Mrs and I wont complain at all...
:woohoo:
Yup. Have tried it regardless of some fuckers not giving the directions to something they've never tried. But they work fine if properly prepared and cooked.Quote:

Damn good idea to check your attitude and your information. Both seem lacking and overtly childish.
How'd those brownies turn out? Always thought about using a bit of hash, never tried it.
I usually just take an ounce or more of trimmings and simmer them in vegetable oil for a couple hours (using a little more oil than called for in the recipe so that it evens out when some is lost during the extraction). Usually turns out very stoney:420thought:

Been eating raw cannabis for years with no known ill effects.
Has been common knowledge for as long as I can remember. Of course, never listening to the insight of those before me, I tried a few times.Quote:

Eating cannabis raw
From the article:
"One of the drawbacks of eating marijuana leaf is the common complaint of stomach irritation. The top side of cannabis leaves are coated with thousands of microscopic thorns, and these sometimes cause minor intestinal irritation, even after grinding. For some patients, the use of leaf in Mari Pills is not tolerable, and in such cases, the use of buds alone, without the addition of leaf, is preferred. Note: the small leaves found in the marijuana flower tops are not as difficult to digest as the large "fan" leaves that grow from the stems. Also, the small bud leaves are far more potent than the larger leaves required for photosynthesis. As a general rule, the smaller leaves growing closest to the flower tops are closest to the plant's resin glands, and therefore have the greatest amount of medicinal compounds."
Sorry to take so long to respond to this thread, haven't been around for a while and couldn't remember where this was posted. I guess it was about at my 35 year mark of smoking weed that a coworker turned me on to the concept of just eating it raw. I too believed it was common knowledge that it wouldn't work, but after hearing his experience (too long to explain) I thought it would be an easy and inexpensive thing to experiment with. I have to confess that my results have been inconsistent but it has certainly gotten me pleasantly stoned on countless occasions. The key factors that I think make a difference are very dry weed and a relatively empty stomach. Or I have enjoyed eating it in the mornings following a modestly greasy breakfast of an egg cooked in butter and buttered toast. Or mixed into a cup of yogurt (think fat). I have also just torn a small joint into baby aspirin size pieces and swallowed them.Quote:

The dryness ensures that the thca has had the opportunity to convert to thc. Columbian, in it's heyday, was pleasantly moist. And though it was the strongest pot I had smoked when it was being imported, my opinion is that modern day pot is much stronger, and I am sure better cured than mass produced imports.
The other factor that I think comes into play is that I abandoned my professional smoking status 15 years ago when I got married and only smoke about two smallish joints a week. With occasional binges of smoking. edibles, and tinctures when not around my non smoking wife. This makes my tolerance very low and greatly magnifies the effects of pot no matter how I consume it. On a side note my wife was out of the country for a few weeks this spring and after about 10 days of smoking everyday my tolerance was up and my level of stonedness per amount consumed went down.
It was looking for info on eating raw weed that brought me to this and other pot related websites, there are others who share my views and experiences, but as a whole most (many who have never tried) claim it doesn't work. It is more expensive and as your quoted article states, at times for me it is more of a very marijuana influenced sedation. But I have found that very nice at social functions when I don't want to look or smell like I just smoked a joint. If you are an every day smoker, this may not have much effect on you. Also if I am mentally involved in something that requires concentration I do get a sort of not enough sensation.
As for people with stomach problems not being able to eat it raw, I have always had a cast iron stomach so that isn't an issue for me. Then again my father in-law couldn't eat strawberries because of diverticulitis.
Not trying to fight, but this summer makes me a 41 year smoker and eating raw weed works for me.
