No more buds for Kyle..

Hey guys, I've been smoking MJ atleast once a day for the past 8 months. I just a month ago started going out with this girl that I really really like. She does'nt say much but she does'nt like how I smoke so much weed. So basically, I quit for her; it's worth it because I really like her. I'm still going to smoke occasionally because I love Marijuana but nowhere near as much as I was. Today is day 2 without any buds, and I'm going to be with my girl. The whole 'no pot' thing kind'a' blows though.

I would never give up weed 4 a girl. She better be worth it.

I decided long ago when a girl makes me choose between drugs and her, I go with the drugs. Simply because no bitch is going to control my life.

She does smoke buds. We're still going to do it once in a while, and she told me she would deal with it but it would make her happier if I did'nt do it as much, so yeah.

If you're comfortable with that decision, go for it. Just remember one thing: if you're quitting weed just for her, you might regret in the future, maybe even resent her for making you quit. If you really don't mind quitting go for it, but if there's a doubt, talk to hre about it, if she likes you you'll work out a compromise.

Something I learned when dealing with girls: don't change for them unconditionally, unless they change something for you too. Otherwise, it isn't fair and you'll resent her for it eventually.

Well at least she smokes bud..... it'll be cool to smoke with her....

It gets boring smoking all the time anyway...its like anything else...

well...smoking everyday kinda makes everything less enjoyable. Oh yes bud has never failed me but neither has someone that I love. I think it's a wise choice if that's the way you feel about her. Sorta reminds me of the final scene in Half Baked. :)

I cut down for a girl, once. I ended up marrying her. You never know who the right person will be. I hope that it works out 4 u.

I really like her and to me it's worth it. I'll still smoke the holy herb but only once in a while. I'm also doing it for me because my lungs are getting nicely fucked..

Ok... now i have a few thoughts about it. If you really wanna cut down... that's cool, it's your own decision. But think about it like this, if she really liked you for you wouldn't she accept you for the way you are? maybe that's just me... but i simply won't quit because some chick wants me too. Or you could always just tell her that you cut back and didn't? (though that would be lying... and relationships should be built on trust) but either way man, good luck with things.

I agree with Bman if she really liked you she would accept you for who you are, i know lots of ppl that tried to get me to cut back or said shit about it, but im really just not that good fo friends with them anymore because they shouldnt try and force that shit.

cutting down is fine, if she says you gotta quit, then shes a control freak. I smoke several times a day, but its your life and what you did isn't a bad thing man, I just hope she doesn't dump you in a week when all of your connections have left you cuz you stopped buying. but eh, itl work out

I couldnt get into a relationship with someone who had a problem with the amount of drugs I take. FFS Drugs don't care if you go out and get a girlfriend

But no, I've gotta disagree with ya on this one Nowhereman.

Just because you are ceasing to partake in an activity you regularly partake in that doesn't mean you're pretending or faking your personality. Odds are he's still going to act like himself.. just minus some intoxication.

So who does she love? She loves the guy who started this thread, but alot more when he's sober.

I quit for a girl/parents/myself. I quit for 2 years. I realized that it was not worth it at the time and I could not handle weed. Quit for the right reasons and if you do not, maybe you will realize you are happier this way. I just started again, and I actually am broken up with the girl. Timing is funny but I lasted past the breakup. She actually started smoking, but whatever, just be happy with your decision adn if you dont do it as much for her, maybe you will like it too so it will be for the right reasons.
