Help please turning yellow fast
Hello I am new to this and am having problems with my plants. I am using sunshine mix4 and NSR greenleaves grow juice and boost juice once a week. The plants are about 8 weeks old and are just now starting to show problems. My lower leaves are where I first notice this and the leaves are tuning yellow with brown spots. My first guess is mg but the stems and veins are really purple/red. It is now getting worse and moving up my plants turning more and more leaves yellow. The first ones that showed signs are now almost completely yellow and brown and dying. I will post pictures today but please help more plants are starting to show signs.

this particuler plant was transplanted about four weeks ago into a three gallon bag.

Unless the yellowing and dying of leaves becomes widespread I wouldn't worry about it.
Help please turning yellow fast
It is taking over the whole plant it has moved from just the lower leaves to now up the plant and on to some smaller leaves. I am lost at what to do right now and need something fast before i loose her and other plants start to show signs and i loose them. Please help me figure this out.

No mention of soil or water Ph? You can use the best nutes in the world but if you Ph is out of whack the lock out will not allow the plants to take up the nutes.
What's your Ph?
Yes, fill out the trouble shooting form unless you want blind guesses.

you need to know your pH first and foremost. all of the elements your plants need are only available within a certain range. about 5.3-5.8 for hydro and 6.3-6.8 for soil.
at the worst get an aquarium pH test kit. this won't allow you to check runoff, but it will help you with ingoing.

I would recommend to get a digital Ph pen like this:
Amazon.com: Milwaukee Instruments pH Pen, PH600: Kitchen & Dining
For now, yes get the fish tank Ph test drops and find out what's your tap Ph. bring it to normal (6.5 ish) and flush and test the first runoff that comes out. If it's brown colored let it sit so it's a bit more clear and test it with your fish test kit drops. The color may be a bit skewed but it'll still give you the ball park. Yellow is way too acidic and blue is way too alkaline (base). Adjust it more in the opposite direction and flush like crazy 'til it's in range. Skip watering 'til they are almost dry, water normally (with about 10% runoff) and check again.
With the 24 hour lighting I gather you're still on veg cycle. You do realize the HPS is for 12/12 flowering, yes?
Keep us posted. Keep up the great work.

I am using a mh right now in veg but have a hps for when I start the flowering cycle and I will check my ph tonight or tomorrow morning and back to you with the levels

From their website:
"Grow Juice and Bloom Juice are unique fertilizers in that they also act as a color coded pH monitor when mixed with water. If the nutrient solution is orange, you know that the pH is slightly high. If the solution is purple, you know that the pH is very high. If the pH is about right the solution is yellow."
This is not a replacement for a ph test kit or ph pen, and using nutrients to adjust ph is a bad idea. Feed per instructions, and get something to monitor your ph. It's quite important.

Usually, feeding directions are for a one week period. Are you applying per instructions, or is every other day something you came up with on your own?
Foliar feeding is unnecessary if properly feeding via the soil. Can cause many more problems than it solves.
Foliar feeding can build-up crap on the leaves, which can intefere with photosynthesis and transpiration. (clogs the stoma's, which are tiny pores that the leaves use for air-gas exchange. Clog those, the plant can't 'breathe'.
Rinse the leaves every couple of days if you feel you MUST foliar feed. Personally, I foliar feed maybe once or twice a year, and only to correct deficiencies. Never do I foliar feed 'just because the directions say I can'. Overfeeding can and will stress the ladies. If you foliar spray too often, especially in warm and stagnant environments, you risk developing mold issues.
Although a 24/0 light schedule eliminates the worry of night time light leaks, I much prefer a 18/6 schedule. So do my ladies.
Don't move the bag(s) around too much. You can easily fold, spindle or mutilate the roots if not careful.
Pictures would definatelly help.

Just to be clear you don't HAVE to use HPS for flowering. It does work for veg, too.

On the bottle they say that you can water your plants everytime with the greenleaves grow juice and just once a week on the boost juice and the light i bought is a swichable ballist and came withg both bulbs. i am workking on getting a ph pen but can i test the run off water with an aquarium tester? what nutes do you guys recomend cause i am about out and if there is something better i might want to give it a try but foor flowering cause here in two weeks i will be starting the 12/12

I have the same problem as gslice14. I believe it is a problem with the NSR Greenleaves Bloom Juice. I used NSR Greenleaves for several years with success. I will not use it again.

kline36, this is a nitrogen deficiency kind of problem. Use a veg fert until you switch to 12/12 lighting, then use a bloom fert if you want.

I was using the bloom juice in the flowering cycle. The leaves started eating themselves with the Bloom Juice/flowering switchover. I switched to General Hydroponics three part. It is a little more work but the plants are doing better this go around. Six weeks into flowering and still some problems with the plants eating themselves. I am wondering if this time it isn't more a question of senescence.
My problem now is what to do with the old NSR Greenleaves bloom juice. I keep wanting to try and use it up. Maybe the problem was caused by pH. I was pretty careful with pH and the yellowing at such a fast rate was a first time disaster after many years of NSR Greenleaves.
I just don't know. Oh, I tried some Jungle Juice bloom. Seems to be working. I tried one batch of NSR Greenleaves this go around and decided the leaves were yellowing and threw the batch out.

Just don't give so damn many nutes.
