so is the best way to maximize the effect of thc in weed to cook it in butter, then use the butter to make cookies or brownies? how much weed should you use? anyone have a recipe?
doesn't the thc in eaten weed metabolize differently and get you even more f'd up? I think the Delta9 gets metabolized into delta 11 in the liver when eaten.

And yeah i would say the easiest way to use the THC in pot is to use butter or olive oil, because the fat does a good job of absorbing all the cannabanoids. I actually just made some cookies last weekend from 1/4 oz. of BC buds and 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter, and then just used one of the betty crocker premade cookie mixes. I have only eaten trees once. I just chewed it up and drank it down with a coke. Ate about a gram of good bud. A couple of hours later I was pissed off that I wasn't feeling anything and had wasted good bud. About an hour after that (3 hours after eating) I noticed I was stoned. Really stoned. Blistered. Then FUBAR. My eyes got bloodshot and heavy too. The buzz lasted for hours. Took a long time to take effect but was a strong and long lasting effect.
i heard the heat is necessary because the thc needs to be heated to realease its thc. anyway, make brownies, muffins, anything man
I ask because it'd be much safer to eat and get high here in a college dorm, I could cook at my friends house in advance.

Man eating weed will fuck you up way harder than smoking it. The only thing u need to activate the THC is something fatty. THC is fat solouble so any fatty substance will activate it. I have made cheese toast with weed before. Just take bread with butter, then the weed then melt the cheese over thr weed and it works good. It does take a really long time to kick in but its way worth it. Make sure you havent eaten in about 5-6 hours if u want it to kick in within a resonable time(like an hour). The times I have done it i have gotten major couch lock(not having anydesire to try and move from the couch cuz u feel sooooo good haha) and i was fucked up for 6 hours +. Dont eat too much the first time tho or u will be in for a surprise when it finally kicks in. Its well worth trying tho, I recomend it. Peace.
as stonefly pointed out, you do NOT absolutely have to heat it for it to work, it will just take much longer for the desired effects.
here's something i made on wednesday that got me the most stoned i have ever been, after about 6 or 7 years of smoking...
grind up finely however much ganja you want to use ( i used 2 grams of really good pot and got incredibly stoned for a very long time)...
get some nutella or peanut butter and spread it on a cracker or triscuit or flat cookie...sprinkle the ganja on that and kind of mix it in.
bake on 350 for about 20 minutes, let cool. then eat. it took about an hour for me to start feeling it and then another hour or 2 to really kick in.
i ate 2 grams and got incredibly stoned. it reminded me a lot of the first time i ever got stoned, at first. then it just got more and more and more intense and i could actually feel myself getting more stoned by the minute, almost to the point of uncomfortable. so i'd recommend less than to begin with.
you can get a lot more out of a gram of pot by eating it, and it lasts longer. i'd say if you had a gram and were just going to roll a joint, eat most of it, and save a little bit to smoke. even though the entire time on wednesday, i think i took 2 or 3 puffs.
im about to try some of these man. i've balked previously cause of the amounts of bud people are talking about and bud butter and what not, but some of these seem easy.

Friends of mine make thier own butter on a regular basis, and use cabbage rather than budds.
Potent shit, and like some other guy said, it takes a fair time to kick in, but after that, it will last for hours.
Butter is great, because u can use it in so many recipes!
