Looking for a Caring MMJ CAREGiver in Boulder/Niwot/Longmont Area

I need to go in and renew my MMJ Card in the coming weeks and am hoping to find someone interested in growing my 6 plants and sharing some of the harvest with me. I've had my card for the past 2.5 years and have always just grown my own, but had a recent addition to the family so the wife no longer wants me to do it with all the people we have visiting. Being a former grower, I know how lucrative this could be for someone who knows what they are doing. I'm at the point in my life where I basically only medicate at night a few times a week, so I would need a very little percentage of the harvests.
If this is something that sounds interesting to you, please respond with: how much you would be willing to offer each month, method of growing/nutes used, strains you're growing, how long you've been growing for, and pics of recent harvests if possible

Hoping to form a long-term relationship with someone who sees how beneficial this could be for both parties.....I'm not interested in signing someone up as my caregiver to grow my 6 plants and then paying them $250+ an Oz.

I think the problem that caregivers have moving forward, is the 5 patient cap. It's going to be difficult for you to find a quality caregiver when you only plan on small purchases. A caregiver who is concerned with the 5 patient cap wouldn't make much profit from you.

I would suggest finding a non-profit caregiver, but those are pretty much non-existent after 1284/109. I could be wrong though.

You say you have experience growing, don't you have any contacts from that?

unfortunately, with the new 5 patient cap, there are more patients that need a caregiver than there are caregivers. Also, with the new rule that dispensaries can't purchase from private caregivers, the only way it is lucrative is if those 5 patients completely financially support the grow.

In other words, the free meds game is over. If you can find a caregiver with space, you can likely save some money... but good luck finding someone who grows decent meds with room.

You'll slowly start to see growers advertise looking for high volume patients with higher plant counts. See:CL.

I'm worth more to a caregiver if I have an unlimited plant count and I smoke a lot, versus someone looking for a free 1/8th once a month.

Maybe its not possible like you guys are saying to find a private caregiver, but I only need the harvest of one properly grown plant for the entire year and the rest of the meds could be sold to other patients the caregiver has.....perhaps my best bet is someone with a warehouse and the ability to sell to dispensaries??
For the past 5 months since I stopped growing I've had a private caregiver giving me a 1/2oz every month from the date I signed him but then this silly law had to go into effect and he had to drastically downsize....
Wish the foolish legislators could see that all this does is drive all growing to Wal-Mart esque dispensaries that don't help anyone out with their insane $16/grams and $350+ oz's.
Everyone I've met in the grow scene besides for my past caregiver is trying to support themselves with growing sub-par meds and selling them like their gold.....really really hope I can find someone who sees it from my point of view and is willing to help a guy out.

I see plants for sale on craigslist all the time. Some are even ready for cure. Are you in a position to just buy a plant that is ready to be cured and cure it yourself?

Do you mind if I ask what your ailment is?

if you can get an 'unlimited' plant count, so could the grower. with all the risks and limits, it just doesn't really work any more unless you find someone just starting out, and then you have a quality problem.

chances are if you are able to work and live a normal life with your medical condition, you'll understand the value in paying for your meds :)

It's crazy to me how everyone on this board wants all there Meds for free if you have grown your own then you'll know it costs money to do so there is also still a big risk for the grower be it a caregiver or a mmc

yea, if you are a legal grower now, it's not a money maker. soon, it'll be a privilege to have a caregiver that isn't an MMC.

I know it costs money for equipment, nutes, etc.... I'm just hoping to find someone willing to be compensated by all the excess mmj my 6 plants will produce. Not in a financial position right now to be shelling out for insanely priced oz's. Been tracking my consumption for the last 5 months or so and consume only a 1/2 oz. a month......so there's a ton of excess crop left to be sold to other patients.

I hope you are able to find a caregiver, willing to give out free meds, but in these times it's kinda like winnng the lotto. The problem is there is nowhere legal to get rid of those extra meds. So basically your caregiver would either have to charge his/her other 4 patients more or put his/her ass on the line and get rid of the extra on the BM.

My best suggestion would be to contact our elected officials and let them know how you feel about the passage of HB 1284 and the unconstitutional restrictions they have put on caregivers. :jointsmile:

What I've heard about the law (in Boulder anyways, from an untrustable source so I quite possibly could be wrong) is that a dispensary must grow 70% of its own meds and can acquire the other 30% from licensened commercial growers (not in one's house) Is this in fact the case?? If so, seems some of these licensed growers would need patients through the dispensary and signing someone up would be benefical because all the extra could be legally sold back to the disp??

Best I've seen so far offered is a free 1/8th which definitely would be shaky schwag. Getting really sick of going into dispensaries and seeing mostly all fluffy poorly grown crap from the bottom of a poorly grown plant at $15 a gram plus tax and having to pretend its decent or make up an excuse to bail without buying anything. Past week I've been into 3 dispensaries and found one properly grown trichome dense strain......haven't really ever had to rely on dispensaries so I just started reading reviews in WestWord and the strainmans website hoping to locate high quality product in the future.

Mmc can only buy from other mmc's if you are willing to travel I can recommend several mmc's in the springs with 200-250$ oz of top shelf

take a nice soothing ride to Nederland and get some of the finest medicine in the state..there are 3 mmc's up there that treat and charge fairly...there are only a couple of mmc's in the denver area that are fair also but nederland is well worth the trip for sure...I will myself not support any mmc that charges over 50 including taxes for an 1/8 even though I usually get an OZ which will definatly be cheaper..and I have never paid more then 300 per oz anywhere or I will walk out and go somewhere where they won't rape your pocketbook.

One brown mouse 2 weeks ago had some ghost that puts me over the top..
at GM I love the space jill or the agent orange but they have 10 - 15 excellant strains for sure.
have not tried the harvest house yet but they are said to compare nicely and her oz's I saw in a thread where never more then 250 oz.

seems everyone wants something for free. They are the ones taking the risk and putting the capital up. How about getting good quality Medicine @ a fair price.

speaking of quality, I went to a new MMC the other day because it was more convenient than my regular MMC & they had my favorite strain in stock. Well Lets say I won't be returning as the quality was not even of "C" Grade. Live & Learn. This is why I stress good quality over Free. IMHO Free is over rated

I've yet to find a dispensary selling what I would consider top-shelf meds so its hard for me to justify signing any of these places as primary caregiver only to pay $16/gram plus tax. I would be very happy to sign someone on who could provide $200-230 oz. for patients that are top notch. So sick of going into dispensaries and filling out a shitload of paperwork only to go back and see all their meds are fluffy and trichome-less crap.

Has anyone had a good experience buying a plant ready for flower from someone on craigslist?? The ones I've seen pics of are super-stretched and can only imagine full of mites and other pests. Starting to think I may just have to do one cycle and stock up over my limit just so I'm not out buying $16/grams that look like they were grown in a mexican desert.
Its ridiculous to me that you can find better buds on the black market for the same price and sometimes even lower than you can in dispensaries.

I need to pick up some meds TODAY in Boulder.....anyone know of somewhere I can get something top notch for a max price of $250/oz???

Unless you know or trust the source, I wouldn't trust anything sold on craigslist. There are simply too many scammers. It seems to me that there are lots of problems with bugs this summer. I have a feeling that a lot of craigslist sales are amateurs or scammers.

If you check regularly, there are a couple of legit sources on craigslist, people who sell regularly. Anyone you see making multiple posts over time probably has a little more credibility than a one time poster. It's impossible to tell though.

Personally, I wouldn't risk buying a plant ready for flower unless you see the grow and can verify that there aren't bugs and you can use the same nutrients etc.

I think it would be easier to find a good supply of clones, and just grow your own. I would think that since MMC's have to put their name behind their product, you'll be safe buying from an MMC. I haven't heard anyone accuse the MMC's that post in these threads of having bug problems. That accusation only comes from those who are anti-MMC.

In my experience, it's pretty easy to weed out the scammers. Ask for lots of pictures of the setup, nutrient schedule, strain, history, etc. If a scammer is just reselling a plant, or if a scammer gets bugs and takes clippings to sell to save the plant, it's pretty easy to spot them if you ask questions.

Also, scammers don't like questions and follow up.

I recently cut down a plant to make clones, just to practice. I couldn't kill them so I sold them at a loss to a guy who drove a long way. I made a post on craigslist, and I had a couple of rules. First, I only gave the general area, and made them drive. I also require meeting in public, like a gas station or something to check paperwork. I won't sell to anyone without a redcard, I've heard of people/MMC's getting busted with forged paperwork. I won't risk that. I also require a picture of the redcard and photo ID of whoever is buying from me. I have to protect myself. I make this available to others as well. If I am happy with the situation, I proceed with the sale. In this instance, the clones were on a flood tray, so they weren't really mobile.

I've tried several times to purchase meds on craigslist, but I have never actually met up with a caregiver. I haven't seen any MMC-quality bud on craigslist though, maybe I'm not looking in the right spots.

at 250 oz and rumor from reliable source's is that his meds are a + quality there is no reason to expect him to go lower...they still need to make a little profit to pay da bills...if you need to be lower then craigslist is your friend..

For patients that make me their MMC w/ the state the deal varies according to need but generally I have been offering ounces $200 plus tax. My ability to take on new patients is getting low but am about to drastically increase my production space. Look for exciting Harvest House news soon!

Really interested in talking with you in person about possibly becoming my primary caregiver. Unfortunately, my card expired on Aug 31st so I need to get in to renew it soon.

The past 2 times I've gotten my card from Dr. Eisenbud at the THC Foundation and really like how nice and relaxed he is about the whole process.....has anyone heard if he's one of the Dr's the State has had issues with?? I've also heard that some other Dr's are now writing up prescriptions with an edible notation or something so more than 6 plants are allowed.....what's the word on this?? I've got X-rays and a formal write up of my condition from a local "non-mmj" doctor diagnosing me with chronic pain and recommending some pretty strong pain medication.

Feel free to give me a call. There is a doc in town that you can see if you'd like to come up and meet sometime.

Finally getting in to see the Doc tomorrow. Do you still have openings so I can sign you as my caregiver?? What medium/nutes do you grow with?? And is it possible to have a couple diff strains make up the oz. and still get the oz. price??

Dispensaries as your referring to them are now known as MMC (Medical Marijuana Centers) and they don't care if you make them your assigned caregiver or not.
With the changes in the law they applied for a growing license that allows them to grow as much as they want to. It only benefits them to be a "caregiver" at this point in the sense that they are gaining customer loyalty and thus may kick you a little free stuff each month.
Your not giving away your plant count anymore. Those days are dead.

Regarding a personal caregiver and your handing over your generous plant count now....2 things:
1) you as a patient can still grow your plants in addition to your assigned caregiver...so your not handing over your "rights" ...your just asking someone to spend all the time, effort, and money to grow your medicine for you and then give it to you for FREE. ?
2) You say I can take all your additional medicine and sell it off to my other patients...which would number 4. If those patients are already buying the meds I grow for them under their plant count...that would mean all your additional medicine would be....worthless! Who the hell am I gonna sell it to now? I can't sell it to a MMJ center, so....your basically asking people to grow your medicine for you for free in return for nothing.

The best you can ask for now is to get GOOD meds at really low prices. $200-$250 an ounce for good quality meds. Hard to find...but not impossible.
If you think anyone wants to grow your plants for you only to make little to nothing from you in return that seems a very unlikely proposal, but good luck.:thumbsup:

Yes I still have openings.

I use Royal Gold Basement Mix or Promix HP w/myco with Cuttingedge solutions Base and Additive Nutrients,

I run ACTs brewed in house.

....and yes you can break up ounces.....within reason.

I am about to begin building out a new 24kW purpose built flowering room at 8500' in Ned. My output will increase greatly by the new year. I will have 32kW flowering on site. The shop will end up with 8kW of various styled gardening methods as an available educational tool (to be viewed by CO MMJ CARD HOLDERS ) to help folks learn how to home grow. I have 24 bush/trees and a few sea of green tables about to flip in the shop. You can see my gardening methods first hand.

I also offer free non-proprietary cuttings to folks who designate us their MMC. I am available for gardening tips and advice.......and all ounces 200-250 bucks.
