R.I.P. "Blame Bush" 2002-2010
48% Blame Obama for Bad Economy, 47% Blame Bush - Rasmussen Reportsā?¢
Thats gotta sting a bit. How unreal the American people blame the party thats held congress since 2006 and the White House since 2008 and expect THEM to take responsibility for the bad things happening to our economy.
Economy in the shitter, unemployment still hovering near 10%, ethics violations trials coming.......the perfect storm for November. Gonna be hilarious after all the BS we heard when Obama got elected and supposedly "changed the game." LMAO.

Bush nor the Family will ever get rid of the blame nor the shame. :S2:

R.I.P. "Blame Bush" 2002-2010
so let me get this straight, about 1/2 the country blames the person behind the wheel of the American Government for the condition of the economy. That tells me that people are upset he hasnt fixed the problems this country has, such as high unemployment, high debt, and general crappy economy.
I'd take the conditions we have now over those of the Great Depression. We've had what, 5 years of crappy economy? Bush nearly Greatly Depressed our country again, and instead of another 10 years of 50% unemployment (like the great depression), we have 10% for 5 (only like 1 which really had Obama at the helm). I'd say Obama has done a bang up job, and he didn't even have a world war to get us out of economic trouble, he had to make due with 2 "wars"that cost us more than they bring in in revenue.
I'd say given all things, Obama has made the best of the shit situation he was handed. It will never be good enough for Teapublicans, but I say screw em, their last presidential got us into this mess, so they shouldn't have a say during my president's term.
-
R.I.P. "Blame Bush" 2002-2010
Yeah, no doubt Obama's been far less than satisfactory (and in fact just another lying rhetorician), but no one can deny the damage Bush and his cronies did. It's always the fashion to excuse whatever party you support--let's just admit they're ALL worthless.
-
R.I.P. "Blame Bush" 2002-2010
Bush had 8 years to wreck havoc on this country and the economy and Obama has had one year to get things turned around. The rightwingers are so in denial its laughable. they haven't come up with one solid proposal to help fix the economy, but want those Bush tax cuts to stay in effect. Those cuts have been proven to be a factor in harming the economic growth of this country. They don't get it and they never will. If you think that the american people will put the repuglicans back in power in November, your are smoking some weed laced with pcp.

Till there is an American Party, they all can suck whatever part of between my nuts and my asshole they want to. Its their fault, and its THEIR fault, and you know what, its YOUR fault too, for being caught up in which side is right, no matter if one is or not, but that you have to be so petty as to start name calling rather than going, hey shit happened, rather than saying who made it happen, lets see what the FUCK we can do.

Island, isnt it the mark of a "Good" politician that they say what's true, even if it is unpopular? Isn't honesty in a politician important?
So when he says he's cleaning up the other goobers mess, even if it doesn't get him re elected, it doesn't make it any less true. You need to understand that. You get so excited at predicting dems demise that you forget what our other political option did to us for the last 8 years.
Regarding the racial Kool Aid, you are so insanely frightened of the our Black Big Brother that you don't realize he doesn't care about race even 1/5th as much as you seem to. You can hide behind your mexican wife, black friends, and eskimo neighbors all you want, but from your posts it is apparant that you not only care far more about people's races than any other poster on this board, but also more than our president.

Chuckle chuckle......yea its me who is the racist. This administration plays the race card ANY chance they get, and have for years like all good little liberal socialists. They need it. Its their first line of attack. And the sub-prime mortgage crisis kicked this off my friend....thats backed up by Greenspan and Bernacke. Which was a Democrat inspired bill from Clinton....and then defended by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in 2006. I see fannie and freddie now need another 1.5 billion in tax payer dollars. Great companys right there.
Scared of Black Obama....thats rich. More like scared of Black Obama Obamanomics and their COMPLETE failure. Like everyone at the White House is also. And rightfully so.
Tea Party is racist.....the Boston Cop acted stupidly.....the NAACP making up resolutions against racism....Pelosi lying about seeing swastikas.....whose obsessed with race. Oh......its me. Nice try.....playing the race card or the blame bush card will hand the Dems a huge defeat on Nov 2nd. Those days are OVER.

Pardon me if I don't worry overly much about Republicans in the next election. They had their chance, we saw what they did for the last 10 years. I don't really care about your paranoid delusions regarding democrats, because people are just as mad at republicans as they are democrats. It still balances out, even if you have the vocal side (tea partiers) making more noise. So for every person that votes repub cause they hate obama, another will vote dem because they still hate repubs.

Lol you guys are doing EXACTLY what I stated. Lol, Legalize is OBVIOUSLY a democrat, and Island a republican, just sitting there, (no offense either guys, you both seem extreme competent and educated) but constantly coming back with something whitty to say, you guys should run, obviously it would be against eachother, but try and get some sort of Government Stature and try and actually produce CHANGE.

Actually, it is my intent to run for the House when I turn 26 (the minimum age) utilizing my young age for extra publicity. Might be a pipe dream, but I'd like to believe it might happen.
I have actually spenty some time in DC working for Dems, and was actually up there when the Healthcare bill went through, and we had a bunch of crazy tea partiers making death threats, lol. Politics is pretty fun, and despite all the petty bickering, I'd love to have a career in it.

man, you really fit the regular folks view of what a liberal activist looks like...still blubbering with Bush/Hitler comparisons, mumbling about being in Washington and seeing rabid racist tea partiers. I bet you dont have a SINGLE picture or video (on almost everyones phone) of anything you claim. So lets see it Mr Bush/Hitler......back it up.
I KNOW you cant so its all good, cause if you could, it would add some legitmacy to your parties whining about the "scary teaparty racists" and may help the White House avoid the FULL MELTDOWN mode they are now clearly in. Baraks big govt control POLICIES are driving his new LOW approval rating...and the laughable Obamacare, and the Federal Govt.'s insistance on NOT ENFORCING their own border laws. Now we have two beautiful ethics trials coming in November..(which im sure is racist to a liberal cause both happen to black)........everyday the news gets worse for the Dems.
This is an ideological battle, and one you are currently losing badly my friend. Socialism and communisms long, long, history of failure and genocide is written in stone in the history books, and you arent gonna fool anyone by trying to masquerade socialism or communism as "Green Enviromentalism or "social justice." America voted to show it wasnt racist in 2008 and in 2010 I garauntee it votes to show we aren't socialist either. Obama was a fluke who rode the tired of Bush wave......McCain was clown....no disrespect to an actual war hero.
Jobless Rate JUMPS AGAIN
Jobs picture dims as unemployment claims rise - Yahoo! Finance
Obamanomics is a failure.

Why can't people understand this? Political affiliations are like a religion to most... looking at things objectively is impossible for them. Instead they just spit out the same rhetoric they hear from their party-affiliated media outlets.
America's two-party system is working perfectly, for those in control that is. Just keep the people fighting against eachother instead of focusing on resolving real issues. Meanwhile the bankers and money-men come out on top. History has been repeating itself over and over again for the past century. Too bad this history isn't being taught in the classrooms. Don't want the sheeple learning from their mistakes, now do we?

Why is it the guy operating the old manual plow thing (in his avatar pic) seems to be the smartest one on the board. If not he's definitely the smartest in this thread! The two dummies arguing are like mice lost in a maze.
Yeah, you Dummycrats and Republicant's tell America and Americans what to panic about while you all swindle, cheat and steal like a louting mob. It's like a huge shell game, watch this hand while my partner pick pockets you all in the crowd. Poor sheeple indeed.
Hey BigTops Finn, I gave you a friend request. I hope you are gracious enough to honor me with a friend acceptance. Best wishes fine sir. See ya around.

I'm sort of curious how I said ANYTHING in disagreement to this vein of "distrust all government " logic in any of my posts. I have never, and will never tell anyone democrats are smart, honest, trustworthy, thrifty, or any of the other Boyscoutesque qualities. But they are the best option we have.
In regards to the "discovery" that all politicians are crooked, I just have to say "no fucking duh."
I realized that fact of life at age 7 or so, and have moved past some idealogical political abstenence to rooting for the party that I think is least likely to fuck up. The Republicans blew their chance imo, and I say we should try 8 years of unrestricted democrat control, to see if they can do any better. Things wern't too shabby under Clinton, were they? Remember what a surplus felt like?
And Ocotillo, I might be a mouse in a maze, but I'm one of those mice that wants to keep the maze pollution free, and give starving mice cheese and medicine, not one of the ones that wants to drill in the maze for oil, and give tax breaks to fat, rich mice.
And not sure if that lemming remark was directed anywhere near me, but i'd watch who I call a lemming whilst riding Bigtopsfinn's dick like that, lol. (just kidding dude, ;))

Not really sure if this is even directed at me or who, cuz I haven't said anything about distrusting all government or discoveries, nor have I directed my comments at anyone in this thread in particular. More of a comment on how the two sides are always fighting against eachother.
IMO the two party system doesn't work. Like you said in your post, let the repubs have it for a while, then the dems, then the repubs, on and on and on. One side makes policies for the other side to bitch about, expounded by the media in a way that takes the focus away from the real issues.
My solution would be to vote out all the incumbents and get some other parties involved. Vote in regular ol' folks (like yourself, Legalize) who actually care about the country and its people, and not their political connections.
And for the record, I'm not against Dems or Repubs, both ideologies have their good and bad points.

Agreed. The parties in power have completely lost touch with the American people/ reality. All of the people still blaming Bush have got to realize there is one group that may have set the stage for the economic downturn, but there's another that is preventing it's speedy recovery.
I don't care who started it, I just care that it's not getting any better, and it's been two years and trillions of dollars.

I'll agree with a "fuck em all" mentality all day, but as sad as it is, we need politicians. Average joe shmo just doesn't have the experience, smarts, or general political knowledge to run for office, which is why we vote for, and then pay for people to run our country for us.
As much good as it would do to have a 37 party system made up of average nobodys like myself, it just isn't going to happen. Our country has entrenched itself in a 2 party system.
This is where it goes back to voting for the lesser of 2 evils. The most we can hope for is that when we hold our representitives accountable, they decide it is in their best interest to not fuck us.
I vote democrat (usually) because even when they fuck up, at least they are trying to help people. The last republican administration took away a bunch of civil liberties, wiretapped it's own citizens, and gave tax breaks to their rich friends. Now bush/hitler icon aside, I just can't bring myself to vote for a party that defines itself by morality and religion, and then acts the way they do.
When a 3rd, 4th or 5th party candidate becomes a viable option, I'll vote for them, but unless we have an American Revolution pt II, we're gonna have to keep picking dem or repub, and make the best decision we can between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.

Yowzers......you guys are feisty these days huh? The "fuck em all attitude" is a wonderful approach to take.
There needs to be a serious Third and Fourth parties....that embolden much more centrist values and beliefs. Im pro-choice, pro-gay marriage and adoption 100%, pro legalization of marijuana AND prostitution across the boards. However, I believe a BIG government smothers human ingenuity and in the end smothers everything else along with it. Look at what our governements under EITHER party have done when its citizens were in trouble.....not to much.
Uhhhhh, your aware Obama extended the patriot act and basically adopted the exact same strategy as W in the war on terror. If not ESCALATED it...to include American citizens for assasination?? They are still using all those exact same wiretaps that they were under Bush 43. Both the parties are 90 % elitest thieves and crooks who depend on us "liberals" and "conservatives" to fight and fight while they rob us and our children of their futures.

Island, for once, we are in agreement. I agree it is horrible that Obama continued W's Patriot Act. Obama is not some savior, he is a politician, and he saw gain in continuing it, and imho, acted the douche. I also disagree with him on his position regarding drilling for domestic oil, a mentality he seems to share with republicans, and which I find upsetting.
Obama has messed up a bunch, and yes, we are way in debt, but I still think he is doing a decent job under the circumstances. I'm just in favor of giving the guy to the end of his first term before I give the "yay or nay", cause he had a mess o' trouble waiting for him the second he stepped into the oval office and he's had to spend his whole term thus far shoveling shit, some of which he contributed sure, but I'd still like to see what he can do with a little support from We The People.

I hear ya.....I really do. I think a significant defeat at the ballots in November will give Obama a better shot at improving his approval rating.....if he can pull a Clinton I really don't know.....right now anyway....I dont see it in him. Which is fine ya know.....he's a man of his own priciple and ya gotta respect that....but I just dont see him becoming a very good centrist when by all appearances he is a far left guy..to a centrist like me anyway. Right now.......I will NOT be voting for Obama again.
-
R.I.P. "Blame Bush" 2002-2010
It's funny that you say he is too far left, as many of the true "far left", myself being on the centerist edge of that group, find him too soft and are upset that he seems to be placating the republicans with drilling for oil, and other such "bridgebuilding activities". He has imo turned out to be way right of the guy he campaigned as, and if you don't buy into the "he reformed healthcare and bailed out everyone so the government could run it and turn us to socialism" spindoctoring, he hasn't really done much for the liberal left, and in fact is losing everyones respect, right and left by his heeldragging.
But... I still love the ole goofball, cause he's lean, he's mean, and he's not a republican.
