Republicans Throw America Under the Bus for Political Gain
I know some of you will enjoy this. Is it really true that Republicans voted against the Pay As You Go bill? Oh wait, never mind. Yes they did. How cynical. That is some record to run on.
Republicans Throw America Under the Bus for Political Gain
When you add up everything the Republicans have done since the Democrats have been in charge, a picture of party before country begins to emerge based on the facts on the ground. It is one thing to politically position your party for future elections, but, does that include throwing the country and the American people under the bus? I guess it does, if you are an Extremist Republican, Right-Wing Conservative or a Tea Party Activist (something for nothing). Even semi-moderate Republicans are being pushed-out of the GOP as we speak.
Filibustering Un-employment Benefits Extension - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are ignorant about what really stimulates the economy.
Filibustering Federal Appointments - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are purposely sabotaging the United States ability to manage day to day operations of your government.
Filibustering Small Business Loans - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans only believe in incentives for big special interests, wealthy campaign donors and all the GOP rhetoric about small business is a bunch of BS when push comes to shove on congressional votes.
Filibustering Congressional Budget Deficit Commission - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are long on centrist deficit rhetoric, but, secretly want to cut popular programs like Social Security and Medicare, but, do not have the political guts to publicly make their case in front of the American people and potentially loose up-n-coming elections due to unpopular ideas they will address when and if they ever become the majority party again.
No Vote on Financial Reform & Consumer Protection - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are for big business and not consumer protection, meaning they do not care what happens to Americans buying suspect financial products or being over-charged financial fees by corporations.
No Vote on Health-care Reform - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are for big insurance companies and could care less about Americans suffering and dying.
No Vote on Equal Pay for Equal Work - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans are for corporations and have a gender gap against woman in the American work place.
No Vote on Woman's Rights with Defense Contractors Overseas - Not only is this proof that male Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that male Republicans do not value woman's security when they voted against a female defense contractors right to sue the company in court instead of settling for arbitration, they voted against a rape victim's right to face her accuser in a court of law with a jury.
No Vote on Pay as You Go - Not only is this proof that Republicans in congress put party before country. It also demonstrates that Republicans really do not care about cutting the federal budget, but, will scare Americans into thinking they do care.
Floating more Tax-Cuts without Paying for them, Again - Both Sen. Mitch McConnell (R) and Rep. Beohner (R) are making statements that the George W. Bush tax-cuts they passed in congress as majority leaders of the senate and House of Representatives need to be continued in order to stimulate the economy. Which were not paid for and contributed to 573 Billion dollars of our current 1.3 trillion dollar federal deficit, the other part of the federal budget deficit was wars in Afghanistan and Iraq the Republicans never paid for in the federal budget, plus the prescription drug benefit they did not fund either. Putting the Republican in congress in charge of the federal budget deficit is insane if we think a different result will happen this time around. The good news is President Obama will veto any financially reckless GOP legislation, unlike Bush.
Cutting taxes does not generate revenue to pay down the federal budget, it actually cost more money in the long-run.
In time the Republican party will be so far to the right they will be bringing guns to political rallies, disrupting congressional town hall meetings, bragging this will be the presidents Waterloo defeat that brings down his presidency, calling the president of the United States a liar in public or defacing the office of the president with Nazi Hitler/racial signs. Oh, wait. They are already doing all of that.
Basically, the Republican party has lost control of what it means to govern the country and up hold the constitution as elected representatives of all their constituents.
The only thing Republicans care about is the next election.
* Not you, not me.
They will say anything, but, do nothing they say.

I thought Republicans were in favor of Pay As You Go? Please explain this vote for us.

According to speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi welfare checks are stimulus too. LMAO.
Watch Obama pile on more debt.......on top of Bush's.....shit Obama's already pissed away more money than all the presidents combined.
These folks are finished. You can see the hyperventilating and panic already starting.....its fun to watch and read.

So why bother? There is an ignore button here.
He/She will never answer a question. Its like the drone of a Faux News Corpse. Spin, Dodge, Lie, and make shit up. When it gets its hand caught in the cookie jar, ignore, and change the subject.
Logical behavior. It can't stand on its own merits. It has none. It exists to feed itself and anybody stupid enough to believe it. Think lowest common denominator.
It exists, but removing it's presence from the screen is but a click away. The majority already have.
I understand tweaking it every once and a while is fun. I can't resist sometimes. But it is like feeding a dog from the table.... if you make a habit of it the dog will be always sit there and expect it.
Do the humane thing.... Don't feed the dog. :D

That is god damn poetry right there. Everyone should be giving oldhaole reps for that post. Everyone.
But listen, I like the exercise that a dumb dog provides. I also like to see how many times I can get a dog to fetch before it grows tired. It's a bit like having a laser pointer. OK, sit Islandboy, sit. Good dog.
I know you're right. I'm hitting the ignore option. I'm traveling for danm near six weeks straight after next week and I won't have much time for this site at that point. I get more satisfaction out of helping people anyway so I'll try to keep up with that side.

OK I added Mr. Cut 'n Splice to my ignore list. This site just feels cleaner now.

Good riddance.....typical liberal. If you "Mr. Professional Picture taker" can prove that I magically cut and spliced your words anywhere I encourage you to do so.....I also invite the mods to investigate this big babies accusations......and we'll just see when and where I mysteriously cut and spliced your sentences....its all a big vast right wing conspiracy huh. Do like Gypski and ignore stuff you dont like......how media like of you lol. Don't like other opinions.....just stick your fingers in your ears like a 6 year old child. How progressive lmao.
Now.....for this moronic thread.....oh how short minded ye are Biggie. On November 6th of last year President Obama said.....and I quote "Now it's important to note that bill I signed will NOT add to our deficit. It is fully paid for, and so it's fiscally responsible." SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, EIGHT MONTHS ago, he said paying for the benefits was the right thing to do, but now, however, he sees no need to so? Thus RAISING an already SKYROCKETING DEFICIT. Good Job Mr President. What a change.
It matters not......unemployment will still be at 10% in November right around Thanksgiving when this issue comes up again.

Republicans Throw America Under the Bus for Political Gain
He should quit bumpin about getting cut and spliced and back it up with something.....anything. But he can't......cause he's making it up.
Birds of a feather flock together.

Boo hoo. Did someone get his feelings hurt and cry to the mods? That was funny though. I'm sure the modfather had a chuckle before hitting the delete button.
OK I get. I recognize that it went a bit far but deleting all those posts was a bit extreme. I'm guessing we didn't go over the edge as no warning was received. What is the lesson here - no more ganging up on Islndboy? Is that the message? Having him on the ignore list should tone down the discussion.

Instructions for adding someone to your ignore list (seeing as the silencing tool was deleted):
1. Go to your control panel (click here)
2. On the left hand side click Settings & Options > Edit Ignore List
3. Add the user name name to the text box. Click the add button
Used correctly this will filter the Blenn Beck speak from your screen.

Your kidding right?? Ive never been warned(as you have) by the Mods or reported anything to the MODS....feel free to contact and see for yourself.
IF ANYTHING......it appears you are completely making up stories about some sentence of yours that was mysteriously "cut and spliced"........you've repeated it numerous times without a damn thing to support yourself. Now run along with the rest of the libs.....hide with your head in a hole so ya dont have to hear shit you dont agree with.
SO LETS ALL SEE THESE THREADS where I cut your sentences Bigsby.....BACK IT UP.....but ya cant can ya:) Another all talk and no action socialist. Weak.:pimp:
Run along now.......

Back it up Bigsby.....
You folks are really starting to hyperventilate and flail around now.......add Bigsby to my list of heads. Right next to the PHD that doesnt have a bank account.;)

Gee. Since democrats have had control of both houses and the White House, you want to blame the Republicans...? LMAO. You find us what's constitutional about each of these little nuggets you pull out, and we'll talk more.
But since the Republicans are about to take the reigns, we'll see just what legislation lasts, and what we fix.
Filibustering Un-employment Benefits Extension - Yeah...no reason those lazy freeloaders should have to accept lower paying jobs or part time employment, when there's a free dime available from the government. Fuck-em, and go get a job.
Filibustering Federal Appointments - After the communist (Van Jones) incident...no shit. Fillibuster every appointment of dubious integrity. The populace is gaining insight into Barack Hussein obama's appointments, and we are not taking his progressive bullshit lightly.
No Vote on Pay as You Go - Since the dems have back-door deals side-stepping the Pay As You Go rules, and they have control of the house and senate, who gives a shit what the conservatives say anyway? To the dems, every fucking (pet) issue is an emergency demanding immediate action. Nothing but drama queen bullshit to pay-back political donors and lobbyists.
And you're really adding the healthcare quagmire to your list...? Are you reaching for straws to justify a inadequate knowledge of the issues, or are you just parroting another's marxist views? Or, are you simply jumping on the "I'm a Socialist, and damned asshamed of my heritage, nation and it's constitution" bandwaggon? Kinda hard to tell by the content of your inexperience with all things political. I'm sure you'll open your mouth again and clarify this for us.
BTW...How's Al Gore's empire going to hold-up since the subversive Cap-n-Tax bill was shelved indefinitely? Might just have to sell his home 50 feet from the breakers on Malibu Beach. (and yup...the house is still there...hasn't flooded-away with global warming) Gonna blame that cap-n-tax failure on the conservatives too? I would love for the conservatives to take the credit, but lack of support from those dems up for re-election is what killed the bill. So tell me again about repubs using politics over national interests. If your cherishd dems were so altruistic, they'd fall on their progressive sword all the way to the unemployment line come election day.

That's great. Republicans crash the economy into the ground ushering in one of the most devastating recessions since the great depression and then they whine about paying unemployment compensation. So you have no problem supporting $630 Billion in subsidies for the top 1% of income earners but nothing for those thrown out of work due to Republican policies.

The Van Jones was as much a communist as Shirley Sherrod is a racist. Made up controversies. All of this 'you're a communist, you're a socialist' talk smacks of McCarthyism.

That is the lames piece of dog dribble yet. So let me understand this, because Democrats control the Senate Republicans feel that no one cares what they say so therefore they are going to no vote one of the things they claim to care the most about? Talk about grasping for straws.

More Glenn Beck speak here. Dude you sound like McCarthy himself. Quick, check under the bed for socialist! Truly pathetic personal attacks Rusty, again. I thought you learned your lesson on that issue. Seems you can't help yourself. See if you can have a discussion without the personal diatribes. Ya can't can yah? (borrowing Islandboy's prose).

Considering the unabashed love affair the GOP has with the top 1%, so called "The Base" and the total disregard for the Middle Class with the bailouts and such, I find it hard to believe other middle class folks like us who post here defend the special treatment the Base gets at the expense of everyone else.
We didn't pay for the Bush tax cuts when enacted, there was no pay-go when the GOP controlled congress but now they say we must pay for unemployment benefits yet it's a great idea to extend the Bush tax cuts and NOT PAY for them.
I don't understand people who aren't rich deluding themselves into thinking they might get rich someday so they identify themselves with folks who consider us "the whispering class" and vote against their best interests. (Meg Whitman)

Actually I have a big problem with the socialists stealing our childrens future in an unconstitutional and quite selfish "I want your money, and I want it now" approach.
Currently, my wife and I pull in under $20,000 a year, and I laugh at those that tell me what I must be thinking and why I'm thinking it. Insight from the clueless isn't insight.
We saw the same garbage politics back when Carter fucked the military, economy and America's foreign policy, and recognize this bullshit pulled by the left. (did you know the big thing back in the Carter era was man-made global cooling...?)
Just another bullshit excuse to socialize and tax the wealthy. Do you know who pays those taxes the wealthy are hit with...? HINT: the wealthy protect themselves by raising the prices of their products and services, and lay-off the workforce till the conservatives correct the democrat tax-n-spend policies. They (the wealthy and the small business woners alike) never see the hit taxation presents them. Their taxes are imbeded in the price you pay for everything from nutrients to fuel, from Tonka Trucks to bulldozers, from cosmetics to caskets. So tell me how me paying for those taxes in everything we purchase is helping my family survive on the basics? Tell me how it helps employees keep their jobs.
Kool-Aid politics.

Here is another article that provides a concise summary and adds more information about the ongoing role of FreedomWorks.
These people are pretty twisted. They are attempting to redirect public anger away from the bankers and AIG executive types who crashed our economy and towards programs that support the middle class. How noble.

I was watching PBS the other evening and to paraphrase it in the olden days when TV's were expensive TV shows could be edgy and intelligent because they were so expensive only wealthier better educated folks could watch. They had to cater to the audience.
Fox caters to an entirely different level of folks and they're good at it.

Yes, we can definitely agree on that. However, these are the choices we have right now. So I have to assess which party best represents the national interest. Although my income is sufficient to justify supporting the Republican brand on purely mercenary grounds, I most often vote Democrat because they better represent the values and interests that will move this country forward. Given a broader range of choices, I would be far far less likely to vote Democrat.

Donâ??t tell me we didn't need a change in our health-care system when insurance companies were denying people who had "pre-existing conditions" and putting their prices up too high. Donâ??t say that we arenâ??t aiming towards global worming with the continued partnership the republican have with oil companies when we can be exploring new cleaner energy to avoid future catastrophes. If you don't believe in global warming, there's too much evidence out there hardly any scientist will deny it now. I believe you right wingers donâ??t care about others but your selfâ??s, you people will leave a jobless old man to die just because you believe that he isnâ??t worth the money. Why didnâ??t you "right-wingers" complain when bush was wasting money on going to war or making tax-cuts for the rich? huh..? thats what I thought.
Let me paint a clearer picture for you so-called right wingers of the future if these republicans get their way.
Many frightening facts
Why has the Post series created so little reaction? - Glenn Greenwald - Salon.com
My two cents
we should be aiming towards acquiring better standards of living as a whole. I don't believe that following the republican agenda or doctrines that follow corporate interest is going to offer the American people a life of prosperity because they always will want to control the masses for the wealthy.

Amen to that brother. People these days don't believe government can do anything for them. In reality they affect everything that revolves in our lives. i understand this untrusting attitude stemming from the past republican presidents actions such as the Bush corruption scheme to win the office in middle elections by marking innocent African Americans as felons so their vote won't be counted (THIS WAS PROVEN!!) or Richard Nixon lying about Watergate.
I will admit Clinton did have a drug organization before he went in to office, but he was a popular president that was loved by many for having the American interest. Which republican has been remembered for his generosity or good policies? The only one I can think of is Lincoln, but the democratic and republican agenda has changed vastly today.
oh, yea. I almost forgot republicans started the war on drugs and where are we now because of it?

Oh well wait a second. Republican presidents are remembered precisely for the good policies and generosity... by the top 5% wealth holders (for dog-ball-sweat waiting to pull the trigger on that comment, note I am talking about the top 5% of wealth holders, not income earners). The rest of America gets screwed. When anything approaching a populous bill is introduced it is shouted down as being part of a socialist, communist agenda. No problem bailing out the banks, the insurance companies, and the car makers. That's not socialism... but when it comes to helping struggling home owners at the losing end of these policies all of a sudden we start hearing about the "moral hazard" and socialism. Truly pathetic. How working class Americans think for a second that Republicans represent their interests in beyond me.
But let's not go too far. We have been mightily let down by the Democrats as well who also serve the same master. They are the flip side of same coin really. They are are just a bit more equitable is all. I'd prefer to see a real third party in this country. Obviously that will only come about if there is a shit fight to reform election financing. Doesn't look likely from where I sit. Corporate America and the top 5% of wealth holders will never let that happen.

The two party system surely has been stained. No doubt, the majority of politicians are sellouts, but people should at least be considering some proposals that benefit people entirely not just companies. We never had a president like Obama, I still see him with skepticism but looking at his policies and what he has presented so far, I believe he has the people's interest in mind.
However, these republicans don't even consider or look at his proposals and keep criticizing him for what he said he was going to do when he ran.
All in All, we should be having people in charge who have the people before profit mentality. I know itâ??s impossible to see who has it but seeing the republican mission statement, it's a for sure thing they don't have it.
