Pot Depression

Does anyone else ever feel depressed or real low the morning after a crazy smoke session? I've heard people say that cannabis causes depression as an argument against it but never really thought about how it could.

Basically I woke up this morning feeling like ultimate shit after a mad weekend of blazing. I've got this before but usually i've had a whole load of stuff to worry about that week (like coursework, etc). The difference being this time I had no worries at all. I had a great weekend, got no coursework to speak of, got loads of music done and things with my girlfriend are great, yet this morning I awoke properly depressed. :confused:

Is this the depression that marijuana causes in people. I'm fine now, but it's a pretty shitty thing to have to consider as a bunner on active service.

i think ya may have been,putting the depression in its place with pot
and when ya blazed up,then it wore off,,it came back,
basher depression can rear its ugly head at any time,
at the peak of my life i was depressed,had good job,money,cars, wife, two lovely healthy kids,lots of socializing,plenty of friends,big bags of weed ect ect,everything was going good,yet i felt depressed wiating on it to NOT BE or some shit
seems in my case if ive not got any worry's,it makes me worry
was told by a doc i needed the chaos to feel Normal,if i dont have it then its like expecting a nuke bomb to drop any minute
ive came to terms with it in time and can recognize when it starts(most times)

I think it matters on the person, Do u suffer from depression? See me, i have seasonal depression when its dark and cold(not snowing) and the mood is way off i gett depressed. In the spring its sooo diffrent but smoking helps me but i find when im not high sometimes i get the same feeling like u. Im not on meds either but its not that bad.

Yo nowhereman. Just wrote out a huge post about how you may be wrong but looking back, your probs right. I definitely think the draw brought it on but like you say, we all have good days and bad days :rolleyes: . The main difference is i'm young and still at college (or high school) with big, exciting plans heading my way and technically, nothing to worry about but I guess your theory still relates.
My philosophy looking at these replies is us stoners are generally happy people so need some kind of natural depression boost to remind us the world is still shit. :D

pot can deff. cause depressions, i mean it can also cure them. I usually just feel retarded after a long weekend of smoking, actually right now i have to drink a big coffee and smoke a couple of butts just to get going. It happens

pot doesnt depress me at all. shrooms do. but weed makes me tired when i smoke too much

Yeah weed doesnt really depress me and ive got clincal depression(dont take meds for it either) When i go without weed for awhile tho i tend to get depressed but thats just cuz weed is like my med :D lol anyways nah i dont get that cuz i be blazin 24/7 :D lol so when i wake up and i got that shitty feeling i just toke a bowl :D lol

Pot makes my sleep...how can I say this....more effective!
So even if I sleep the same amount of hours after I smoke, I wake up feeling like Ive had twice that, all refreshed and ready to go to work.
Well, as ready as I can be for work :)

Its because the weed does its job so well your like hey I wanna do this all the time when I want where I want but unfortunately you cant walk around living life that way..

So you look forward to your next toke....take deep breath n dive back under like some pelican or heron or some other fishing bird...get your keep;your daily bread whatever..
