So another thread sparked my interest in this,What do they call reefer where you live? Ive heard headies,beasters,kind,KB,KGB,fire,chronic,what what have ya.I just think its interesting what different areas call it,also tell what local you live in :)
Oh around here in Norcal people call it all sorts of things but i think the 2 i hear most is chronic,and fire.

For 'names' tho, in the current local TO vernacular: weed, green, doob, ganj, chron/chronic, bud, herb/'erb, smoke, dank, sticky, reef/reefer, da kine/kine 'erb (for those from De Island).
I am sure there are more. It's probably the most slang-named plant in existence (for some strange reason ;) )

reggie
here in south fl we call it.... fire,dank,green,bud. and to specify the grade there is... regs for regular weed theres mids for ok/good bud an theres dro,crip or that FIRE for high grade MJ. i kno go figure

Since i do not use English to convey the information, I use American Sign Language to sign marijuana. even though there are million millions of words for marijuana yet it comes to ONE sign for ALL names in existence. Weird eh? However, we use code to identify oneself as smoker. It requires common sense sadly.... HAHAHA :thumbsup:

mostly chronic here in Brooklyn NY. What i don't get is all the names they call different weed. I have heard so many names that i just don't listen anymore.

Those are strains bro,basically they take one strain cross it with another and it becomes something different and generally takes on the characteristics of whatever is crossed together. All hydro means is hydroponics which is a way of growing not a type of plant of anykind. Each strain has different characteristics. Some are made to give you a nice head high and smooth smoke,others are made to kick your ass,sometimes it just for how they can grow too possibilities can be theoretically endless. You mentioned White Widow which happens to be my favorite.If you've never tried some I highly recommend it but dont plan on going anywhere for a while if its grown right.In your area of NYC is where diesel originated if I remember correctly.Diesel of anykind is generally badass so try it out too. in fact any of the strains you listed are very good,Kush type strains at least in my opinion have a very nice and relaxing head high,can never go wrong with any types you listed thou. If you do a google search for attitude seedbank and go to the site and just checkout some of the stuff it has descriptions and characteristics of each type,kinda neat stuff to read.

I have tried all the names i mentioned above but it seems i only get 3 different highs.

2. super sleepy and lazy
3. start thinking about my problem and I don't want to smoke weed any more.
But besides that it seems all the same...I must agree with you "White Widow" is at the top in my book.

Bro, you need to find a nice mixed strain. White Widow is a powerful sativa, which when it's grown right, apparently has upwards of 20% THC. Sativa will make your mind race and all your problems come to the surface. This is only an issue if you have a lot of problems or if you aren't a good problem solver. Perhaps it is also a blessing in disguise, because it's like cannabis is telling you to stop putting your problems off. Perhaps.Quote:

Hey JohnnyZ.....WW is actually a hybrid. It's about 60/40 indica/sativa. White widow is one of the most popular strains....great flavor, great density and great high! It's definitely one of my favorites. :jointsmile:Quote:

upstate NY here. It's kinda funny to me since no one even mentioned it, but almost everyone I know has been callin 'em trees. As in, you smoke trees? lol. Else it's just weed/pot. Everyone I know either calls it "green" or "smoke". No one I know uses the proper terms as far as I know.
