So im located in south america rite under the equator lots of sun daily. I recently found some good cannabis which had several good looking seeds in it. They call the strain here"skunk" but it really reminds me of a haze strain. Im a first time grower and i just planted about 4 seeds in a 2 ft deep pot and its probably 2 feet wide. Ive done lots of research on growing outdoors and pretty much understand that out door growing happens naturally but i figured since i had the advantage of buying my own good soil i also should be able to help the plant grow as potent as possible. I need some advice with porch growing and some tips on how to make these plants grow and produce as potent buds as possible. Anyone have an idea of how long its gonna take for these plants to start flowering? Advice and tips are HIGHLY appreciated . i will be posting pictures of the progress through out the whole grow. will i be able to decide when the flowering of these plants will happen since i have the plants in a pot?

well man you can always force flower them an if you let them flower on there own you will just have to wait till you light cycle gets as close to 12/12 as possible for them to flower

Force flower??? anyone wanna explain when and how i do this ?? Also i have 4 plants growing in the pot. Is that a bad idea? should i remove some to let the other plants get more nutrients or would it be okay to have all 4 seeds grow in one pot?? how long is this strain gonna take to grow till flowering stage???:rastasmoke:

If they're still pretty small(seedlings) put them in separate pots, if they're too big then the roots are intertwined and they're too late to separate. To force flower you simply make sure they are put in a dark area (has to be 100% dark, not just shaded) for 12 hours a night. When you do this depends on how big you want them to get. Remember that during flowering they will grow another 1-3 feet. Do this until they are finished(usually 8-10 weeks or until half the hairs on the pistils turn brown). If you really want to be accurate as to when you should harvest, get a 60x scope and when the trichomes or little mushroom-like glands on the plants are half milky-colored and half amber you harvest. Good luck, man, looking forward to the pics.

Like 86 said, make sure when they pop up you take a spoon and put them in their own pots. This would be step one to get the good shit:thumbsup:. If this is your first grow id just watch them grow and be patient. Dont flower early as a light leak in the dark period could hermy up your plants and you will get a small buzz and lots of lots of seeds. Letting them grow out will give you the good shit you are after and that sun ya got will make them good, you only need to re pot when needed and your good bro,

okay so i took the advice given and seperated pretty much all the plants into their own pots. i have a big pot with 2 plants growing in it and another big pot growing one plant in it. I did it to experiment the potency of the cannabis if grown in the same pot. Apart from the two big pots i have i also have 3 little pots with one plant growing in each. i took PICTURES so i can start posting my progress from here. Id really appreciate any tips given to me from here since its my first time growing. Anyone know if i should use fertalizer or what should i do to keep these plants at the best they can be? and does anyone have about an estimated time about how long these plants will take till theyre ready to harvest?
Im going to keep taking pictures and updates for followers. Thanks for the responses !

So can those plants in the little pots still grow in those pots or will I have to transfer them to bigger ones? Anyone know how long its gonna take for them to grow out doors?

...is not to do it until you have to, but do it as soon as you notice certain things:
Like water draining quickly out the bottom of the pot, or the plant's apparent size being the same or 'larger' than the pot underneath it. Yellowing leaves/drooping for no reason can also be a sign of a plant being rootbound.
Wait until the soil in the pot has almost dried out, and then remove the whole rootmass/dirt to take a look. If you can see roots 'coating' the outside of the dirt mass, it's time to repot.
Your plants look fine (if a bit tiny) for their containers, but move at least one of the two still in the same pot to its own container. Will save some trouble later. They should be fine, and as soon as they 'notice' the space that their roots now have to move into, you will notice a large growth spurt :)
Also, try to repot a few times, rather than "just once", to help build up a dense rootball. Going from a small container to a too-large one will not let the plant build up a dense enough root system.
Or so I've Heard ;)

The plants have gotten bigger and the leaves are forming nice. The only problem ive noticed that im worried about is that the plant stem is real fragile and the plants seem as if theyre top heavy. One of my plants actually got knocked over so i attatched a wire to make is stay up its been growing fine with it but is it gonna die because the snap in the stem?
Also i have one real wierd lookin plant out of all them. All them grow with jagged edges and ONE of them are growing with round tips on the leafs??? wats going on with that ? On this plant that has jagged leaves on it, there seems to be little yellow spots coming out on it . Im concerned because the yellow spot seems to be getting bigger. What can i do ?? Comments and advices appreciated !!!! i will keep on updating. :rastasmoke:
The second picture is the one with the jagged leaves and the yellow spotting. the other close up is the regular ones.

One plant per pot man. And fill the pots with soil up to the top leaves. Put them where wind will make the stems strong or put a fan on them. Your tie on the stem will do nothing for it, ya gotta let the wend train them. Make sure you have good drainage as the yellow could be over water.

hey chris,
im from nj too, living in guayaquil ecuador and just started an outdoor grow with probablt the same skunk strain you have. it would be great to share our info. what soil are you using? also, i think that because the sun rises at 6:25am and sets at 6:25pm the plants will flower automatically here. you do not need to change anything with regards to the light cycle.

i assume its because the more roots in a smaller space of soil the more of the water poured into the soil will be absorbed (cuz theres denser/more roots) but thats just an assumption and im just a stoner what would i know....:wtf::wtf::jointsmile:
gd plants man
chek mine if u feel like u wanna:stoned::jointsmile:
