Faint Lines in Test Area

Greetings,

*Stopped 1 week before test
*Day of Quest Lab Test
-I downed:
-1/2 gallon of water
-1/2 bottle of crannburyjuice, (32oz)
-1/4 bottle of Gatorraid. (64oz)
-5 to 7 B2 pills

I took several tests and they all showed a very faint line. My question is this. I took one more test before I went to the lab and it was very faint. When I got back from the lab I tested again (faint as well). What do you think the chances are that I pissed negative at the lab in this circumstance? I voided 4-5 times afterwards (1.5 hours after lab test) and tested positive.

Also, when they check on a Saturday, shouldn't my employer know the results today (Monday)?

If your saying that a faint line means you have tested positive for THCA then you are wrong. Home test kits are very reliable and just because the line is faint means nothing. I have tested my up to date batches of Quick Fix synthetic urine and obtained a faint line.

CTGanja, if you were getting faint lines before test time then you should have been ok for the lab test. Did you remember to raise your creatine levels before test time? The only worry I have for you would be a negative dilute.

I didn't say home tests were unreliable....but oookay! He specifically said he tested positive when voided 4-5 times after the important test.

Wouldn't you think if he tested positive after the fact....just maybe it's possible he also tested positive when it really counts?

So, if it's faint at the lab, it's negative. Gotcha.

Yea, I really didn't understand a positive test result after 4-5 voids. I would think that the more you voided, the more diluted each void would be. Thus, keep the THCA concentration below test cutoff levels.

The reason why the person tested postive afterward is because he voided out all of the fluids that he took in.

Remember now - he stated he took "several" home tests before the "real deal" . So the total amount of voids (between the time of his dilution regime to the time he tested positive after the "real deal") add up to more than 4-5.

It must be understood that dilution techniques (in any configuration) are only temporary. Once all of the fluids consumed had all been urinated out (as it obviously happened in the O/Ps case), a "dirty" donor will resume testing positive for THC because the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys.

Lesson? When utilizing dilution techniques and testing yourself several times before the "real deal", make an effort to replenish the fluids that youve voided out for your home tests before going to the test site.

Sorry for the confusion- here's what happened:

1. (9am) I tested negative (very faint lines) 4 times before my test. During this time I drank, pissed, tested, & did it again

2. (10am)The last test before the lab I tested negative (very faint line)

3. (10:20am) Took test at quest

4. (10:40am) Came home to piss and tested I tested negative (very faint line)

5. (12pm) I tested positive (no test line)

I understood you. Again, youve tested positive at 12 PM because youve voided out all the fluids youve taken in from earlier.

Thanks for clearing this up, I guess that weeks vacation to Jamaica had my brain a little foggy.

Dillution puts enough fluid in your system to shut down your kidneys from filtering your blood and producing urine, because it is more worried about the excess water.

Once the water is gone then the kidneys go back to work, and thats when you get dirty.

Also most home tests show a line for negative =D, and a blank for positive

This is false. If the kidneys were to "shut down" or prevented from doing the job of filtering the bloodstream, that person would soon die - unless dialysis comes to the rescue.

Drinking a lot of water lowers the blood osmolality (the concentration of solutes in blood). The body needs to keep blood osmolality very tightly regulated, so the response to a fluid load is to excrete the excess water due to a shutdown of antidiuretic hormone, which diminshes the kidney's ability to reabsorb water in the kidney. However, GFR (the rate of which THC metabolites, impurities, and water are filtered from the bloodstream by the kidneys) is unaffected. The same amount of blood is filtered by the kidneys per minute, and the same amount of THC is filtered into the urine per minute, it's just that less of that filtered load (which includes a lot of water) is reabsorbed later in the kidney due to the temporary shutdown of antidiuretic hormone. This hormone normally helps the kidney reabsorb filtered water, so we don't all pee out all of our water and die, but when osmolality is at stake the body must get rid of the excess water.
