Nice To Be Growing Again!!
Whats up everyone! its been a while since i have been back here and growing. just got the new place and i figured id do another SUCCESSFUL and completely ORGANIC grow. The 3 Strains im going to be working with is SUPER SLIVER HAZE, MAZAR x AFGHAN OG KUSH , and the lovely AURORA INDICA. The grow will be taken place with in a CFL GROW BOX. The lighting will be 4 23w CFLS (need to get one more light socket assembly) and 2 42w CFLS inside a custom made hood i made out of metal ducting. In total thats 12,000 Lumes ill be working with. For nutrients ill be using Neptune's Fish and Kelp, Bone Meal, and ill be ordering some other nutrients from B.C. products. I have a 10 inch fan on the top as a exhaust fan along with dryer duct as a intake at the bottom to create a NEGATIVE AIRFLOW inside my box. I do plan on trying the HEMPY BUCKET for the first time with all three of these plants. Here are some pics of the seeds in the Germination Stage. Tomorrow im picking up some rockwool cubes.

So I checked on my seeds and they have just popped and nice taproots forming. I'm going out and getting more vemiculite at the store after work. I will take some pics tongiht and upload them. I was going threw my grow stuff and I found some SSH pollen so I might dabble with pollentating some AI and possibly some mazar x afghan of kush. Everyone have fun be safe
Enjoy the buzz :)

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so i decided that im gonna do some clones in hempy buckets cause i had to order some materials. so im just going with organic soil right now. I planted my seedlings last night and this is what they look like in there home. I will be painting it white once i get out of work.
have fun be safe
enjoy the buzz

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so its been a bit but heres a update. i ran into ph problems with my soil and my SSH died. i let them sit in water to get all the old soil out. i got some good compost soil that has been having good results. I also got a seed i found in some good herb i got from a friend. So the frist set is of the good seed i found.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
these 4 are of my Mazar x Aghan OG Kush. im LST it because it was getting taller then my other plants.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so heres some pic updates of my A.I. and one of my bag seed from that dank batch. i noticed yellowing and browing of the lower leaves so that to me means that its getting to much N so i flushed it this morning. My A.I. has been perking up since i transplanted it. I have the A.I. and the Mazer x Afghan OG kush in the 12/12 light cycle. they have been about 5 days now. waiting to see there sex. I gave it half a dose of NEPTUNES HARVEST FISH AND KELP 2-4-1.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
i wouldnt give it any nutrients yet that might be a little counter productive. To me it looks like they are over water + the PH might be a little off.
The plants have really yellow leaves, red stems, and they aren't growing very vigorously. It looks like they are defiecient in a couple of nutrients, so i suspect that your PH off. If the ph isnt within the right range(6-7) your plants wont absorb nutrients effeciently and you will get defiencies(you can make your own problem worse by trying to correct the deifiency with fertilizer.
What kind of soil are you using? Is there any way to check the PH of the soil? Are the seeds your using from a reputable breeder, or are they "word of mouth" bag seeds?

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
yea my AURORA INDICA and my MAZAR x AFGHAN OG KUSH is from nivarna seeds. My other bag seed was from a medical strain my friend had. now there AURORA INDICA got a half dose of the nutrients. Now for my medium i uploaded pics of it. Its all organic and i had good results with it before. yea i water every 3 days or if its bone dry a knuckle deep, but ill bump it up to 4 days for a while.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
Look into root rot in cannabis. Just search for it in google, it looks like it could be your problem.
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
So i checked on my little ones today. My Aurora Indica is female! my MAZAR x AFGHAN OG KUSH still shows no signs. I watered my Mazar x Afghan OG KUSH today but i flushed it with 3 1/2 gallons of distilled water so im hoping that does the trick with the soil. but im still waiting on my Mazar to see the sex so im hoping for a female. if not im gonna use its male pollen (hoping for female tho) and put it on a AI clone. Heres some pic updates!
so a close up of the female sex and a birds eye view
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so heres my MAZAR x AFGHAN OG KUSH. and advice on whats going on would be awsome. the signs it has been displaying is yellowing of bottom leaves and now i got burnt tips and some spoting of brown and yellowing on the newer leaves. I did flush it with 3 1/2 gallons of water today. well here are some pics advice would be apprecaited!
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so my ph is 6.4 in my soil so i dont think its a PH problem. but here are some pic updates of my bagseed (from a Potent batch i got from a friend) and some all together pics inside my grow box.
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
They look dehydrated to me. Maybe they are too warm?
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
the temps are 79.4F as far as watering goes i do it 3-4 days or if the top soil is bone dry a knuckle deep then i water them. this Mazar x Afghan OG Kush has been one of them boggled thoughts on what could be going on.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so heres my update. theres something going on with the Aurora Indica im guessing some type of diffencey i just dont know what it is. any advice is welcome!!

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
There's pics of nitrogen deficiency vs cal/mag deficiency in one of the outdoor growing threads. i didn't mark it so I can't post a link, sorry, I'll try to look for it. Yours looks like a cal/mag deficiency to me but I just plant in pots in cheap bagged topsoil from Home Depot mixed half with Spagham peatmoss and only use organic fish emulsion so what do I know? Everyone here is so experienced, I'm sure they will recognize the problem.
Sometimes less is better :-))

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so i did some research and i do have a cal/mag deficiency. I went yesterday to my local grow shop and picked up some cal/mag, b'cuzz grow, and b'cuzz bloom. i gave my plants its first dose of the cal/mag and b'cuzz grow. i took some pics so that way i can see the improvement of the ladies.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
Id like to thank NUGGSSGALOR on helping with the deficiency!
Thanks Rock for subscribing hopefully i have somthing useful to you!
so its been 4 days since i posted in my log. So heres my update.
I gave my lovely AURORA INDICA lady another dose of Cal/Mag (1tsp per Gallon) and B'CUZZ (3/4tsp per gallon) yesterday. Im waiting about another day or 2 to give it to my bag seed because its not quite dry yet. They have been perking up since my frist dose of the nutrients. I have started LST (Low Stress Training) of my AURORA INDICA yesterday morning. Got some side branching starting to come through. Now i kinda went picture crazy and took some pictures of my ladies.
Now i do have a question. I have noticed what looks like resin glands forming on the leaves closest to the internodes. Now is that what i see? i have uploaded some pictures that i tryed to get a close up.
The frist 4 pics are of my bag seed and i did get some close up shots of what i think are the resin glands.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
The rest of these are my AURORA INDICA. I also got some close up shots of what i think are resin glands.
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
So i gave my bag seed another does of B'Cuzz and Cal/Mag and she is really perking up. I also tied my Aurora Indica lady down lower and the side growth is blowing up. heres some pic updates!
frist 3 are of the bag seed

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
Good morning Everyone! so its been 3 days so thime to update my log!!!
So i transplanted my Aurora Indica from a 1 liter bottle into a 5 quart/ 4.7 liter pot. i gave her another dose of CAL/MAG, B'Cuzz Growth, and a 1/2 tsp of NEPTUNES FISH AND KELP. I watered my bag seed with the same dose of nutrients.
Now i have noticed that on my AURORA INDICA since i started the LST (Low Stress Training) my top section is now producing one 3 bladed fan leaves but the rest is produceing 5 fingered fan blades. Now i dont know if its just because its focusing its energy on the lower growth that is coming up or if its a defincey.
Also another question i have is should i trim up some of the lower growth of my AURORA INDICA since shes becoming a bush to allow for more air flow under the leaves or should i just leave it the way it is?
Now i kinda went a little picture crazy but i got pics of the 3 fingered blade leaves. The frist set is of the AURORA INDICA

yellowing of leaves doesn't mean you have an excess of N, it means you have an N def. the browning of the tips can just mean that the leaves are dying off. if you had an excess of N then your plants would be a deep, dark green, almost blue.
it can also mean that you aren't getting enough light. your CFLs should be 1-3" from the top of your plants. and even then their canopy penetration is gonna lack.

don't worry so much amount the amount of days, but learn to read your plants. they will tell you what they need, just like with the N def. pick up one of your pots with your thumb and index finger from each hand. it should look like a diamond, with the pot being held by the rim in the middle. bounce it up and down gently. do this when they are dry and then again after watering. you will fill a major difference. when the fill light and empty, it's time to water.
your plants are over-watered in just about every one of those pics. you can tell this by their light color, and the droop. it's just the leaves that are drooping and not the petioles so this indicates over-watering. if it were under-watering the petioles would be drooping off of the stem as well. a healthy plant's leaves will point slightly up, with a small crease in the blade at the midrib.

are you watering with distilled water as well? if you are then you definitely need that calmag. i know you picked some up. distilled water has basically no mineral content what-so-ever. you have to add it in, hence the calmag.
when you are doing your final flush then not using the calmag would be acceptable as you are trying to rid the plant of all it's minerals.
and dude, you shouldn't even be worrying about trying to breed until you have your game under control. i'm not being rude, i'm being real. once you get things in hand, then go for it!

how are you testing the pH of your soil? what about the ingoing/out-coming pH of the water/nute mixture you are using?
with the over-watering (plush flushing you are doing) you are leeching nutes out of the soil. this is going to affect your pH. the good part though is since you are using organics, your pH just needs to be under 7 and your good to go. the organic acids act as chelates for your nutes.
keep reading man. you have the right ideas, but there is massive room for improvement. glad you are growing again!

I have my lights about 1/2 inch to 1 inch above my canopy. The only time i raise them alittle bit is when the leaves are on the bulbs themselves. For bulbs im using 2 42W and 4 23w CLFs so thats about 9,100 Lumes.

Makes perfect sense! I thought i would have to water every 3-4 days or when the top soil is dry. the funny thing is after the top soil was dry it still almost felt the same weight after i watered it. For the leaves being droopy that also makes sense too and i couldnt figure out why on others plants there leaves are tilting up and my were tilting down and drooping all the time.

I let my Gallons of water sit about 2 days before watering and i shake it 2 or 3 times during that period to make sure it doesnt get stagnit. As for a PH testing kit i have a Gro Check PH stick tester. My soil is at a 6.6 as of today.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
So its been 8 days since i have updated my grow log. My bagseed is now becoming my faviote! shes growing big and abundent like a little Green Monster. I have started to LST her. Im going to go get rooting gel and rockwool cubes, and a clone tray because im gonna cut some clones here in a week or 2 then im putting my plants into flower.
Now my AURORA INDICA was getting 3 bladed leaves then down to 2 blades now back to 3. Im keeping a eye on it tho.
here are some pic updates. the frist five are of the AURORA INDICA

start some new plants up bro.
You would be lucky to get 2 grams out of those things. So i think your time might be better spent on trying to improve where you went wrong
-
Nice To Be Growing Again!!
you might want to think about using some jiffy cubes to clone instead of rockwool. it's just plain ol' easier. you don't have to pre-soak them and they won't jack with your pH. you can get a back of 50 for like $15 or so. as soon as your clones are rooted well then just through them into the dirt. simple.
just my $.02.

Nice To Be Growing Again!!
so just a quick update. I found out that with my PH meter was completely f'ed up so i got a PH kit from the local hydo store and the PH of my nutrients was a whopping 7.9.... YIKES! so i applyed another dose of nutrients with PH down in it so i dropped it down to 6.0. The Aurora Indica is now starting to produce 4 bladed leaves since i have been trying to fix the PH. I cut a clone from the AURORA INDICA and now im waiting for it it root. Got some EARTHJUICE Rooting Gel and some rockwool cubes (sorry shake didnt see your reply before i left to get them). I soaked the rockwool cubes in 5.5 PH water for 30 minutes. Ill upload pics later on tonight.
