How Much Longer Until I Pass?
Hey everyone...I'm going the all natural route to passing an upcoming urine test, where someone is in the room collecting your sample so therefore the substitution method is out of the question. I vaporized MJ regularly (about 4-5 days a week) for about 2 years, with the last time being on 4/22/10. I've been running 3-4 miles 4-5 days a week ever since stopping. I've since lost about 13lbs and have very little body fat, mostly around my waist. I've been drinking water all the time plus cranberry juice, swimming, a professional massage once in a while (proven to help release toxins), and just staying very active. So it's been 41 days since using any MJ but when I tested myself on day 32 with a First Check at Home MJ test, I failed. My urine test will be on day 50 of my fasting so do you think if I just dilute hardcore that day with tons of water/gatorade/cranberry juice and maybe take a cheap detox drink, that I will be ok? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. :hippy:

I would go buy another home test kit and see where you stand. Use the first void of the day, as it contains the highest concentration of THCA. If you pass, then you will have no problem passing the lab test.
On another note, consuming tons of fluids days before the test will not help to clean you out faster. THCA is not water soluble, it is fat soluble. Running and working out are great ways to burn fats cells. Soluble fiber(metamucil) is also another great way to excrete THCA through your colon. Theses two methods and time alone are the only way to rid the body of THCA.
Detox drinks are also just an expensive dilution, you can accomplish the same thing alot cheaper by following the Dilution thread at the top of the drug testing forum. Read up, there is alot of great information there.

Thanks Deige. I am going to buy another home test and use it on day 45 to see where I stand. I'm not sure how much it will help my metabolism or not but I've also been taking 100mg of niacin per day for about a week now. I plan on taking some creatine and eating red meat about 24-72 hours before the test. Then on test day I will take 3-4 aspirin, drink lots of gatorade and water, and pray for the best. I'll let you guys know how it all works out. :hippy:

dude, aren't those expensive? I remember paying 20-25 bucks for those tests... Instead get the test strips online. I bought 30 test strips for 20 bucks. This way you'll be able to test yourself everyday.
Oh yeah! make sure to stop exercising 3 days before the test, you don't want those metabolites from the fat running through your system before the test...
(that's probably the reason why your testing positive right now) although exercising is awesome while detoxing, it will ruin you before a big piss test.

Sorry to beat your confidence to death, but Niacin is a myth. It does nothing to help in the detoxification of THCA metabolites.
Taking Aspirin used to be effective in deterring one certain type of test(EMIT). This test is now out dated and the new test(EMIT II) is not affected by the use of Aspirin. Why it still states this in the Dilution thread, I have no idea.
Your on the right track with everything else, so I will wish you good luck and be sure to let us know your results.

I appreciate the help but I think you misunderstood me on a few points. I already know that drinking tons of water for days/weeks prior to testing isn't going to do anything, however, it does help with food digestion and keeping me healthier which is also a goal of mine. As for the aspirin, I might just take 2 to be on the safe side and hey, 2 aspirin isn't going to harm me so why not...I also know that niacin is a myth, however it does help with the digestive system and circulation, thus aiding in the entire process, as metamucil would help too as you mentioned before...a quote from one of the following links in regards to niacin:

The first link youve provided in no way establishes niacins role in eliminating THC. Theres not even a single reference to THC. Youve wasted your time and energy (not to mention bandwidth) citing that link.
That healingdaily link youve provided is just another perpetuation of the niacin myth. If you noticed, you'll see references to that whackjob father of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. Hubbard had no training in the health care field, yet he made numerous false claims pertaining to health care. His leading pawns, Tom Cruise and Brooke Sheilds claim that niacin and other vitamins cure everything from post-partum depression to toxic-shock syndrome. They also advocate total silence during childbirth and claim that forehead patting can rid ones mind of "demons". :rolleyes:

Youd discover that THC is not toxic (therfore its incorrect to label THC a "toxin") and the rate limiting step of elimination is not the size of your blood vessels or whether or not they are dialated or constricted. The rate limiting step is the GFR (glomerular filtration rate) of the kidneys. GFR is the measurement of how much blood is filtered by the kidneys in one minute. A person's GFR remains relatively constant through a process called autoregulation, by which reflex changes in vascular tone inside the kidney help keep GFR constant despite daily fluctuations in blood pressure or cardiac output, such as with exercise.
If you want to place any merit on such ludicrous claims made by the Scientology movement, well knock yourself out. But keep such info out of the drug testing forums. Drug testing is a serious issue because there are careers, families, and freedoms riding on the outcome of a U/A. I never once mentioned that niacin helps rid the body of THC. LOL! Thanks for your two cents though. I'm just taking niacin to help me in general....just like I'm drinking lots of water for the past weeks because it's good for you...not because I think it rids the body of THC, lol. Niacin is basically vitamin B-3 and the body converts niacin into NADH through its complex biochemistry in order to generate ATP, an energy form that the body can use. Once again, I never made any mention what so ever that niacin rids the body of THC. Don't be so quick to go off on people until you actually READ what I posted. The very first sentence of my post that you quoted explains it all....let me emphasize the keywords..."I ALSO KNOW THAT NIACIN IS A MYTH, however it does HELP with the digestive system and circulation, thus AIDING in the entire process, as metamucil would help too" meaning that it's just helping my body in general...not specifically to rid THC. Just as excercise HELPS, water HELPS, etc. If you read my very FIRST post in this thread, you would know that I am going the ALL NATURAL route aka TIME and HEALTHY LIVING. lol The links were just some of the first ones I could find on a Google search. Well, if you claim to not take niacin for the purpose of trying to pass a THC drug test, then why bother wasting your breath of mentioning that youve been taking niacin? What does your mentioning of it have to do with trying to pass a U/A? :rolleyes:

We don't mean to come off like dicks, but we tend to deal with alot of misinformed posters and it can be very stressful. Our intention here is to inform people of factual information in the drug testing world. One person's misleading information can misinform someone else, thus sending them to the unemployment line or worse, jail.
I'm here only to help educate people in the art of passing drug tests. I'm not getting paid... I just find gratitude knowing that we can help honest people stick it to the man.
It's a small fight in the war to legalize of Cannabis.

Just an update...I bought the pack of 10 THC MJ test strips on Amazon and used one today. The control line came in nicely bold and bright so I know it was working but my second "test" line came up faint/weak, which is a step up from my last test where I didn't even get a faint 2nd line. So does that mean I'm in the clear or just about in the clear? I guess I'll keep testing myself every other day until that 2nd line gets bolder.

Now I'm just confused...at day 43 I got a faint/weak line to verify a negative result. Today, on day 46, I tested my morning urine and I came up positive again...not even a faint line. I'm wondering if it's because I've been doing a lot of running/physical activity lately and so my body is metabolizing the last remnants of THC back into my body to be excreted via sweat, piss, shit, etc..Do you guys think I will be able to dilute pretty easy on day 50, which is the day of my urine test?

Update: I had a definite negative test result today. The clearest it has ever been. So it officially took me 49 days (7 weeks) to get a negative result. This is great news considering my urine test is tomorrow. I am still going to drink a lot of water, gatorade, and 1 Red Bull (it wakes me up, I enjoy it, and hey it has niacin in it plus b vitamins...I know I know, they dont make any difference). I'll update again once I find out the results of the urine test. Thanks for all the help!:hippy:

Found out today that I PASSED!!! :D All I did was drink a 12 ounce Red Bull and 5 standard size bottles of water in the hours leading up to the test. It was day 50 of my fasting and I guess the length of time, exercise, metamucil, and dilution did the trick! Thanks for all the advice and help given to me by all!
