Caregivers w/ less than 5 patients. WHAT DOES 1284 MEAN?

Hello,

I haven't been able to get a clear answer to this. How will HB10-1284 affect small (<5 patients) caregivers in general? I'm talking about independent caregivers who are not associated with any dispensary. I know they won't be able to sell their extra meds legally to anyone other than patients.

What I'm also interested in is primarily privacy related:

-Will small caregivers have to register somewhere giving additional information beyond regular patients? Possibly but not necessarily including background checks, fingerprints, etc.?

-Will small caregivers have to give information on their grow location?

-Basically what will be changing in regards to privacy for small caregivers?


I'd like to address these privacy concerns first and foremost, but feel free to discuss anything pertaining to caregiving and the new law. I feel caregivers were probably shat upon the hardest by 1284!

i think if you stay under 5 or 5 and under nothing changes,but if you want more than 5 thats when all the other bs kicks in?that was my take.

another thing i was thinking about was with this 5 patient limit this will put alot of patients in limbo of sorts.which only makes sense that sum will try to go it alone and try to grow themselfs.what i wonder is if you can only sell/deal with your patients and patients can't by from other caregivers/shops then where/how will these people get the strains they need to grow?be it clones/seeds?how do they expect 1 caregiver to only supply 5 people yet give them the diffrent strains they need? if they would atleast allow caregivers to network together that would be 1 step in a good direction.

also with not being able to deal with anyone your not caring for how does this work out with patients? what if you and i got together to hang out and i pack 1 up does this mean we could'nt share?being that we are not linked in the caregiver/patient 5 count? see this is what i mean with these bs laws they pass it's all to give power back to leo and how could one think otherwise? they leave shit wide open and up in the air.this shows me 1 of 2 things either the ones voting on it did'nt even give a shit to read it or they really are doing this to hurt patients and give as much power to leo and the state. to many ??? left in the air.

yup and i believe they leave this open that way so that can do as they plz.these bills need to map shit out the right way so everyone knows right where the line is on each side.instead they leave it alone then add more junk on top of it but never cleans anything up in the bills.bunch of bs...

Was hanging with one of my patients yesterday. We were discussing this very thing, while sharing a bowl. We laughed & joked because we thought maybe a loophole would be - instead of handing the bowl to the next person, you set it on the table and announce,"This is no longer mine, if you want it please feel free to take possession of it...." We did this back & forth a couple of times, giggling our asses off (feeling good now...). Made it into a smoking game. If you forgot to announce it, you had to take another hit! :)

OK, so I'm getting that nothing is really changing for small caregivers as far as privacy and registration.

-No registration required.
-No registering of grow location.

I believe felons aren't going to be able to legally be caregivers too? What about misdemeanor herb violators?

People with felonies that are either 2 or 3 years old can be caregivers.

There is help on its way. If you form or join an Association of caregivers and have a web based software system that is centralized over the web from any computer at any time you can operate very efficiently and effectively with only 5 patients.

Don't forget that you can have 5 patients at any given time and computer time is instantaneous. Though an association caregivers can buy wholesale from centers and charge for their services. Subsequently, the caregiver association becomes the new distribution outlet for centers.

Caregivers do not have to pay the outrageous fees and zoning requirements of a Center.

07:46 PM -- Jim Benskin, Tracking MMJ, explained that his company tracks medical marijuana. He also spoke in opposition to the bill and requested that the bill be amended to require the tracking of medical marijuana to determine the source of the product.

LOL 5 patients is 5 patients. You have to be registered with those 5 patients. What do you mean "any given time"? Why would you not just grow for those 5 patients and cut out the dispensary?
Do you think dispensaries are going to let caregivers cut in on their profit?
Do you want to sell what they are producing?
