I ordered a hydroponic system today and should get it by the middle of next week. I am super excited and cant wait. Has anyone used hydroponic before or are currently using it? How do u like it? Any feedback would be awsome.:D

Big time grats!
I have never used hydro method before, but am interested. Yesterday while in Albuquerque, I stopped by that hydro shop on San Mateo. They got so many goodies in there. I want to buy up everything. Oops! No money. :D
Hope you do a grow log. It will be cool to watch your future babies grow.:hippy:
Thanks!! I will def do a grow log. I will start it after we are up and running and everything looks good. So stay tuned :D.Quote:

Awesome Mama!
I look forward to hearing about your grow!
BTW....were you ever able to get in touch with the NMMCPG?
Cheers!
:)
sandia, no i wasnt i filled everything out but it says waiting for approval but they wont approve till i email a pic of my card and i dont know the email.
started my legal grow bout a month ago and i am two wks into veg on a multi bucket deep water culture system, 400 w digital balast using a full line of advanced nutrients. Plants are about a foot tall at this point, perfectly green, all feminised cannabis cup winners. It is an awesome experience, congrats med mama.....advice: check your ph and adjust accordingly every day! Advanced nutrients are amazing and they are coming out with a new line of nutrients at the end of july that make it where one doesn't have to adjust ph or ppms at all. Good luck med mama....I'll show pics of my girls at some point.

hey mama, i started out in soil, but switched to coco after that. i did pretty good in soil, but prefer hydro. to me, i feel more in control of things in coco. things happen more quickly in hydro, i like that. what type of system did you get?
I got a bubble bucket ( got to SH Hydroponics, Inc. ) i think it is awsome.
Bongo, i am getting a kit from fox farms of all the nuets and what not i will need it says there is a guide buti am sure i will need help with the proper amounts. So when i am all up and running i will start asking what to do. Do you know of a good hydro grow book?
Used it before,it's not nearly as forgiving as organic growing. Hope you got a Parts Per Million meter and a PH meter. Good luck!Quote:

I do Hydroponics and am sold on it completely. I have had very good results with my EQ; 400MH and a 2x4 Ebb/Flow Garden for vegging and a 400HPS and a 3x3 garden for flowering, which I got a Homebox tent for.
Cool is right, its not as forgiving but if you can monitor your garden daily, it rocks.
I had pump connection go out on me in my flowering box yesterday, the plants looked really bad. 10 minutes after feeding started, they looked great again.
Please do share pics. Your selection was awesome.Quote:

I plan on babying them like crazy... everytday i will be checking things and we have a spare bin for the days i need to clean. We are also doing our veggies in them (not the same box and the mj ) come june so you may also see pics of the veggies also. I love gardening who knew putting a seed in the soil and a week later life apears. It is down right fasinating and this little country girl is ready to start a farm.Quote:

;)
I am going to do that as well i just have a few in soil that i wanted to try to switch to hydro if they die it will be ok they are just swag seeds no biggie. just a experiment. I will be starting the good seeds in the rockwool cubes.
Mama,
One thing you "might" want to consider is when transplanting from soil to the Hydro, you really should make sure that the roots are totally free from soil....otherwise you might just get some junk in your plumbing that could cause you some problems.
Just a thought...
Congrats again on the equipment and your grow!:)

Either tonite or tomorrow i will post pictures for everyone to see. But i am not sure how to do that? Can some one point me in the right direction....budbook pals i will post the pics on there as well. Thanks for all the advice and input even though it is not always good i will always take what you all say and learn from it and my own mistakes. I love this gardening stuff it is so awesome to watch things grow. Last nite after the kids were asleep and the plants had about an hour left on thier timer i sat there in my stoner chair (papasan) and just watched the plants and they are truely fasinating (the fact that i was stoned could of helped with the fasination but it was a very relaxing night.

Welcome to wonderful world of hydro. I am new to the forum but have been growing the greens for years. You say you used swag seeds? From my experience it is about a 90/10 split on how good the end results will be. 90% is how you grow it and 10% is the genetics of the plant. Any marry Jane seed even some nasty swag can make one fine end product if you give it the right attention. When they grow the nasty seedy stuff the seeds are just tossed in a field and left to grow. No one sexes them and kills the males or gives them any love at all. Really the best stuff I ever grew came from some back yard boogy woogy and it come was the bomb when it was done. The 2 plants got about 8' tall and I got about 40 oz of finished product. I have gone from soil to hydro many times and some things that really helped my plants for stress are to use Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt in the water and Higromite for the medium. Also as stated make sure to rinse the roots off and remove an soil also be very careful not to hurt the roots, the more ripped roots the more shock. Some hydrogen peroxide can also help keep the roots happy after moving from soil but be very careful as it can cause chemical burns if handled incorrectly. I have found starting seeds in Jiffy Peat Plugs or Oasis Rootcubes to work better than rockwool then transplanting to 4? rockwool cubes after the root start to pop out of the plugs and then into the hydro system. Good luck and enjoy!
Way happy for you Mama! Will check it out on BB! ISNT watching the little ones grow very cool???:)

My little angel is good we are at home she is naping (she didnt sleep well) we have to keep an eye on her for a little while but she should do great. As for the rest of us we are still fighting with the ickyness in the chest and sinuses but i am feeling better today not 100% but better....i was finally able to smoke some herb without coughing up a lung so that for sure helped. Thank yall for the warm wises yall are awesome
I tried your link, but it asked me to log in. I don't think I will join that. It may be connected to facebook, and I have tonnes of kin foke there. It would be better for my peace of mind if every member of the family wasn't aware of this activity.
Sure am glad your child is feeling better. Now it is your turn. Please take it easy, and don't over do it. Just get well. :hippy:
yeah, my mom and my sister know (obviously wife/kid know!) but no one else knows about my garden. I have a private blog to show it off and that's the extent of it, many of my relatives are very religious and from the south, they worship hops of course.
i have face book and bud book niether one are conected to each other people from bud book cant see what i post on facebook and facebook people cant see what i post of bud book. How do i attach pictures on here?
I completely understand about the family thing not all of my family knows because they wont be to pleased so i am careful what i say on facebook as well.. that is why i like bud book because none of my family other then husband knows about the site..and i can say whatever i want about the type of medication i use and not feel bad about it.. pepurr i totaly understnad ur reasoning. I will post pics here as soon as i figure it out. I am feeling better still congested in the chest but i am better.
Click the [manage attachments] button toword the bottom.
Pictures i chose the best 5 since that is all i can post so from now on i will take pics probably once a week and then i will post the updates here and in BB (Budbook). Thank you pepurr i never even scrolled down that far never knew anything was below the post box. Hope yall enjoy the pics....i know the lighting is not the greatest it will have to do till next month.
I logged in and still didn't get to your pics from that link.Quote:
