The last I smoked was 2 1/2 months ago. Before I quit I was a light smoker, several hits a week for a few months. I have read Jerry G's method and was wondering if I needed to go that drastic. I'm a girl with long hair and have to take my drug test soon, within the next week or so. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, this is for a great job offer.
The problem with women is they rarely cut their hair. So given your situation, drastic measure's would be your best bet. THCA stops depositing into the hair 3-4 days after your last smoking session. Shortly after this is when most people would cut their hair, thus removing any dirty hair from the head. Most testers look for at least 3\4 of an inch of hair for the test. It all depends on the person, you may get an ahole or you may get lucky. Average hair growth is 1\2 inch per month. So, a heavy smoker that quits and cuts his/her hair after THCA stops depositing will need roughly 90 days to provide a clean hair sample.Quote:

Im in a similar situation, however Im a dude...See my post and let me know what you think my chances are, my test got bumped to sometime early next week. Tina, it kinda sucks that people really treat us like criminals right when someone can do meth and be tested fine in a few days.
I know they have said that they note if you have recently shaven your head..will the take note that my hair looks fried and has recently been chemically stripped? Can they tell that I've used something like Toxic Wash?
In practice, most hair which is sent for analysis has been cosmetically treated in some way (bleached, permed etc.). It has been proven that FAEEs are (surprisingly) not significantly affected by such treatments (Hartwig et al., 2003a). FAEE concentrations in hair from other body sites can be interpreted in a similar fashion as scalp hair (Hartwig et al., 2003b).
HAIR TESTS: An ominous new technology is hair testing, which is supposed to detect drug use for months, or however long one's hair has been growing (Skinheads note: samples can be taken from any part of the body!). While hair tests are highly sensitive to cocaine, their sensitivity to pot is not well established. Not all employers who use hair tests check for marijuana. Hair testing is racially biased against Africans, being much more sensitive to thick, dark hair than to light, fine hair. Although the FDA and scientific community have been critical of hair testing, that hasn't stopped employers from using it. Hair tests may be influenced by shampoo: one test found hair treated with Head & Shoulders® (Fine/Oily), Neutrogena®, and Rave® displayed lower drug concentrations than with Pert® (Oily/Fine) or Prell® (Normal, Normal/Oily).
When passing drug tests for hair there is very little you can do in the way of preparation. If you want to know how to beat a drug test of this type your best bet is to use what is commonly referred to a 'hair follicle shampoo'

I'm surprised I haven't seen any posts worried about it being obvious that their hair and scalp have been chemically treated prior to the test. I found this information on a website, do I need to worry about this? I'm definitely freaking out..
"Commonly used hair products (e.g. shampoos, conditioners, sprays, mousses and gels) have no significant effect on Hair results. In fact, normal hair washing helps to remove external contamination. Extensive bleaching, perming and dyeing may damage the protein matrix of hair allowing a portion of the drug from the hair to be extracted, lowering the final quantitative result with certain drugs. Treated hair can be readily identified from the wash ratios and/or staining procedure. Treated hair results will be reported indicating that the correlation between the extent of drug use and the quantitative result were affected.
Abnormal Wash Ratio (AWR)
Terminology for samples showing an inconsistent relationship of drug detected in the wash as compared to drug detected in the hair sample. AWR samples can be caused by heavily damaged, treated or contaminated hair and may require additional testing. "
If you can have it professionally done by a hair stylist, then it shouldn't look out of the ordinary. I used to bleach mine all the time just for the Slim Shady look and never had much hair damage.Quote:

Not sure what that means, but most tests will be the same procedure. As for the Toxin Wash... it shouldn't hinder the color of your hair during the procedure. Jerry recommends that you use it to wash the bleach out of your hair during the bleach and redye. Here is his method so you can follow it before your test date.Quote:

THC metabolites are stored in the cortex of the hair strand. The cortex is protected by a layer of scales called the cuticle. To strip the metabolites from the cortex, the cuticle needs to be opened and penetrated.
Basics open the cuticle due to their PH levels above 7. Baking soda, bleach, and ammonia are all are strong basics that help to open the cuticle.
Shampoos like Toxin Wash and Zydot contain strong stripping agents, that combined with bleaching and redying yield a very high success rate in passing hair tests.
I think going to a pro is best for bleaching and redying, but it can be done at home.
The basic plan is to bleach and redye twice. Use a 40 volume peroxide bleach. Ignore the hair pros and sign a waiver if needed. I think washing out the bleach and the dye with a very strong shampoo like Toxin Wash works best. The second bleach and redye should be done at least 10 days after the last session of herb. If you have little or no clean time, the last bleach and redye should be done as close to the test as possible.
The day of the test make a thick baking soda paste and massage it into your hair. Then do a full TW treatment and then a full Zydot treatment. These two shampoos compliment each other.
Good luck, almost everyone who does this passes...
OTHER TREATMENTS--
I have no experience with them, but some people have had success with hair relaxers and perm treatments. These products contain propylene glycol and ammonia, which are proven to open the cuticle and reduce metabolites. I'd wash with TW or another good shampoo after treatment.
There is a common misconception that AloeRid Shampoo helps to pass a test. It does nothing. It is the discontinued AloeRid Treatment that contained a high propylene glycol content, and was effective.
There is a treatment program called the Macujo Method. It works for some people, especially those with thin light hair, or low levels of usage. It does not work well for heavy users with little clean time. It did not work at all for me.

Does it matter if you do the treatments spread out? I have already bleached my hair once, Sun, and had to redye it twice because the first redye didn't come out so great. I was going to do 2 full treatments of the TW. One today, Wed, and the other on Sat right before the test. Do you think that should be sufficient? My last smoking session was mid Feb..and just a few times a week before that. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. I really appreciate all your help, this job means a lot to me.

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but the stuff does not wash out very easily - says to rinse with 2-3 gallons of distilled water, took A LOT more than that and I'm not sure if it's even all out.
