New to smokin. Tips?

Alright I've smoked about 5 or 6 times. I recently got a glass pipe with a carb. So far all ive smoked is dro and bubba kush.

I bought 1/8 of the kush for 60 bucks.. good or bad deal?

What are some strains that I needa try?

And I really love cerebral highs,,, so i was wonderin what indica strains are really good for cerebral highs?

Also the glass pipe i got was a cheap lil 17 dollar pipe. When ever i get most the grass really fried, some ash goes through and in my throat. Which sux. Any tips or help?

well, you gotta be careful with pipes not to suck too hard or else the ashes will fly through and get you in the throat! Get a good bubbler or bong if you want to avoid that!

Good Indica strains I would recommend would be white widow or even purple kush. I'm assuming you have your med card since you are wanting to get specific strains. Dealers don't usually give you a choice, they have bomb or they have shwag! If you got an 1/8th of bubba kush for $60 I think that is a little high....but i guess it depends where and who you got it from. Normally an 1/8th costs around $50....unless it's super bomb....I live in California. :jointsmile:

Texas is too conservative atm to even consider legalizing the holy herb. I feel for you bro. If you want cerebral highs, then you want sativa dominant strains like haze. Anything haze. Super silver haze for example. For the ash going in your throat (also called feedback) either buy some metal screens or buy a bubbler which I highly suggest doing. Sell your bowl to a friend and use the money to help you buy a bubbler. $60 an 8th for kush is good enough for me, i'd buy it. Happy toking, i'll try and help some more if you need it.

Reefer Rogue is correct- Sativa dominant strains have the cerebral highs, whereas Indica has more of a body stone.

Eating foods with cannabis in them also gives you an Indica-type full body relaxation.

If you're getting ash in your throat, try a bubbler, like Reefer suggested, or when you notice you're nearing the end of the bud in the bowl, gently pull so you're not sucking it in with full force.

yeah, I don't see Texas changing their ways anytime soon....it's a pretty conservative state!

yo i'm from texas too and yea we'll probably be on the last states to legalize medical buds if it ever gets that far. If youre in north texas try to get ahold of some afgooie, its a bright green strain completely coated in crystals and its been going around here for awhile. Or try gettin any starin of purp if you havnt tried that yet, everybody loves the purp. And of course being in texas you can always try some mexican dirt weed, its everywhere and cheap as hell but nasty as hell too

On the contrary to kurupt's words, you can actually find decent brick in texas. But there IS more bad than good, and obviously, supporting an american grower would be a better option than supporting a cartel. But you cant afford the prices of dro ALL the time.

If you're interested in cerebral highs i suggest you invest in a vaporizer...whether it be vapor bros or a volcano you'll be very happy. Vaporizers give you more of what you want with less of the couch lock/antibody reaction that smoking a bowl/blunt/joint/bong will. Each method has its own place imo, but if what you're after is a cerebral feeling vaps are the best way to go.

Amen sister,I too love White Widow, and Bubba Kush,also NorCal Kush. $60 for an 1/8th seems a bit high for me as well but I also live in Cali and I dont know anyone that would pay more than 40 or 50 bucks for one,unless your that desperate to burn and for some reason run out. Also A waterpipe of somekind would be a good thing,id be lost without my collection.:jointsmile:

Oh yeah some stuff to add,if your smokin' with your buddies learn tokin' etiquette,meaning dont fry the entire bowl the first hit ;)

I know this sounds stupid and seems like a given but...Up until "recently" I would inhale and then fully exhale after my hits. I learned I liked it better when I would inhale and then only exhale half of the hit and then drag another hit in with it, instead of one huge hit or a ton of little ones.

take long smooth hits,its easier on the lungs. if your using a glass piece the length of it can help with smoother hits too.
