First time grow - Greenhouse - Need some help
Hi everyone, I'm trying my first grow this year. I got 5 feminised Super Lemon Haze seeds and germinated them with the paper towel method, All sprouted and they were put in individual peat cups filled with peat soil.
The 4 seedlings sprouted after 4 days and are growing ok now. Theyre 8 days old today. Would you mind having a look at the pics and see if there about right at this stage. I was worried that I was overwatering as the leaves on one (the first image, Image0191 and 191) were drooping alot so I cut back on the watering a bit but there is no real improvment.
Anyone any ideas how I could fix the drooping, I had originaly had them in a different window with only 4 or 5 hours direct sunlight to where they are now, they should be get the sun for the whole day.
Also any advice as to when I should transplant and plant out in the greenhouse.
Thanks alot! Any help much appricated! :)

looks ok
the peat pots add the water to the tray the pots will pull the water up.
the roots will grow better than water on top.
a small desk fan set on the lowest setting makes the stem stronger.
and in the green house try to have some airflow in it as it will help the buds stay up, by making the stem stronger.
and when it comes to harvest time in the greenhouse very easy to get mould.
if the stems dont have the strenght to hold ur heavy big buds(what u want) they will fall over, snap off or bend over away from the light

leaves are fine .. when you pot up next time put 30% perlite in the soil for aeration and stop the soil getting to compact which will stunt root growth..
they can go in the greenhouse when ever or after the last frost..(end of month)..
mick.

Thanks for all the tips people, I have made a lot of progress since my last post! There all out in a small plastic greenhouse at the moment and things seem to be going well. I have just transplanted them for the second time today into their current pots. I fear they might be a bit stunted as they looked to be very root-bound!
Are they looking ok for now about 7 weeks old? Also photo258 shows where I have topped on of the girls. There is alot of new shoots growing but after for days the top still hasent started growing into two stems? Did I mess up?
Finally I have a pic of all the girls, Don't mind the flowers (there my mothers :P) or the tomatoes( theyre a distraction)!

Hello everybody, I thought I would keep you updated about how my first outdoor grow is going. Everything is going smoothly so far, the only problem is I think my plants may get too tall for my 6ft high greenhouse (Good complaint!!!)
Anyways I have attached some pics I took earlier today!

First time grow - Greenhouse - Need some help
Hi everyone, Have had a few problems since my last post and pics but things still seem to be on track. I went away for a week and of course that week a couple of catapilliars decided to eat my girls!! When I got back I went and got some spray on pesticide which said was suitable for eadible crops. Unfortunatly when I spread it on, i might of sprayed too much and some of the leaves at the front got burnt! At the moment some of the new growth on 2 of the plants have turned yellow, I think they might be over fertilised so I have flushed them with regular tap water for the last few days?
I got a sativa strain( super lemon haze) with a flowing time of about ten weeks, so I have started covering the greenhouse today at nine, and will take it off at nine in the morning to hopefully induce flowering earlier and maybe have a harvest by mid october?
Good you please help we out with some of those questions?
Anyways here are some new pics. The biggest girl is now over 5 1/2 foot tall? I can't wait to see what its like after the stretch!!

I ended up getting about 40 grams of really good bud and then a good bit more of mids. I would of had a much greater yield but I made a number of mistakes.
Firstly the pots I used were much to small for the height the girls eventualy grew too. This led to them becoming root bound and resulting nutrient problems. As well as that my green house was too small for the 3 girls and a lot of the buds didn't get enough light to fully develop.
Finally one of the girls ended up getting powdery mildew which I thought at first was THC crystals lol! So I didn't get much from that at all.
All in all I got 40grams from one girl and am hoping to make some good bubble hash from the other girl!
Best of luck.

Sorry for the late reply. I got them in Nirvana on Capel St. before it was burnt down! They are relocated to the south-side now. It were about â?¬40 for 5 feminised seeds. I have started getting more seeds now for this year, I'll keep updating this topic with the progress!
Heres a pic of my overall yeild as well as some nice ice hash I made from the trim! Strong stuff!

Thanks Irish sniper great info . Ihave bought a 6' X 6' greenhouse myself. Not soley for weed. Will but a few tomatoes and other fruit in it also. I have two questions myself as a first time grower. First at what age can you spot the males. Second how important Is light / darkness ratio. I would like to germinate my seeds straight away. So in theory I could be budding in June/ July where you only have maybe 8/ 9 hrs darkness. It's not practical to cover the greenhouse like sniper did. Any one any suggestions or do I need to do anything at all. All advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hours of daylight
Daylight Hours Explorer
this last one is handy for any1 in the world to know the day light hours
september the 1st is when we in ireland get 13.5 hours of light this is when alot of plants start to flower.
and they will be ready end of october if they have a 8 week flowering time
so thats what ya really want in a plant here.
they wouldnt start budding in june july with 8/9 hours of dark as they will have 16/17 hours of light.
you would have to cover them to get that to happen in july
any more questions fire away:hippy:

Hi Spamsandwich,
I just started germinating my seeds today, this year I am growing Low Ryder #2, Northern Light x Big Bud, AMS, Big Bud and Church.
For the first time I would recommend you choose feminised seeds, then you won't have the trouble of trying to identify the males and you won't be wasting valuable space in your greenhouse growing males!
In regards to flowering time, you won't need to cover your greenhouse. Last year I grew super lemon haze which has a very long flowering period, usually ending around November. I wanted to make sure it finished before the bad weather and frost set in to try and prevent mold. With the aid of the covering I was able to get the 3 girls to finish about the 3 week in October and I could harvest and dry them perfectly! If you want to make sure they finish pick a more indica dominant strain or possibly an autoflowering strain.
Best of luck with your grow, its definatly worthwhile!

what kind of greenhouse and how did you cover it , any pics? to get super lemon haze done is inspirational , was looking at a haze stain sshxmango, that can do well with the right pheno. have you tried the bigbug and ams before? ams has a rep for being mold prone.

Cheers loststix and irish sniper,
I have already bought seeds off the net. Probably did not do enough reserch, I bought an "outdoor premium mix", "White Widow, plus Indica and sativa hybrids." They have arrived today and are not individually labled ( also mixed gender). I am working over the weekend and intend to start germinate on monday. Lads should I go ahead with these or go for an easier option for a first time grower.

what site so can figure it out
outdoor premium mix could be anything and alot of sites have different types
but should be fine
they are a weed after all

Well their not exactly a weed, but they are pretty resiliant

My greenhouse is almost exactly like this. http://www.activegardening.co.uk/com...greenhouse.jpg I just covered it with the black plastic you use for covering silage pits if you know that.
I prefer the sativa's myself, but it was a bit touch and go last year. I ended up only really harvesting one of the girls fully, the buds on the other two didn't fully develop due to not enough space in the greenhouse, nutrient problems and they started to develop powdery mildew at the last week of October. Which I mistaked for a THC crystals at first!! Oops!
I haven't tried any other strains before SLH was my first grow, I'm only 17. I didn't choose it very scientifically, the guy in the headshop was calling out sativa strains and I was just like "ya, that lemon one!" because I liked the name lol!
I have all my seeds germinating at the moment using the paper towel method. Currently the two Northern Lights x Big Bud have sprouted and they are now in peat cups in the sun room. I'll try keep ye updated with photos and stuff!
I have a good few bag seeds which i'm gonna start germinating and throwing out in some public places! A bit of overgrowing the government, its practically risk free. If their is a bit of a stir about it and people realise its just a plant like any other and isn't killing anyone, maybe they might open their minds a little bit!
Best of luck anyways everyone!

First time grow - Greenhouse - Need some help
Been a while since I was last on. Since I have germinated all my seeds and have them well under way. All between 1 & 2 inches now. I don't intend keeping them all (10) in my green house as they will be a bit obvious. I live in the sticks, so I plan on planting about 6 outside. I have found a very discreet place in the field behind my house, there is a double hedge with an 8 foot gap in between. The northside hedge is thicker so there is plenty of shelter but there is a drop about 3 feetbehind the south hedge so sun will be some what restricted. It's all very overgrown at the moment. I will cut some of the brambles away to allow in as much light as I can. But as I said it will still be somewhat restricted. Now the questions. What do you think of my spot? Should I be trying to find another that has maximum sunshine for our climate?I can keep the plants hid behind the tomatoes in the gren house for a good while butwhen is the earliest I can replant outside? Do I need to protect against rabbits etc..? Talk to you all soon. Happy growing

Here's a few photos of how the 6 girls are going this year. There going ok. Unfortunatly the did get a little root bound as I didn't have time to transplant soon enough. Bloody Leaving Cert! They are a bit droopy but seem to be recovering ok over the last few days. Some of the pics look really yellow but they are not like that. Its just the light. The are all green with the new growth being noticably lighter in colour. Anyone know what this is, just lack of nutrients. I have only started feeding them over the last few days and I am using tomato feed untill I can get proper cannabis nutes!

-
First time grow - Greenhouse - Need some help
Nope I have never grown indoors so I can't help you there sorry.
Growing outdoor is fine, espesially if you have a greenhouse. Just stick them out and check on them every day or two, water and fertilise when needed and come sepetember you have a really nice crop for the year. All positives!
Best of luck with your grow man
