New MMJ Patient needing help....

Hi Ive been growing a OG KUSH clone to turn it to a mother. A qustionable big plant I nursed back too health and 1 1/2 week old seedlings with 4 leaves. I have them under 40watt and 80watt floro and 2 100w floro that you can screw in a fixture with a fan in one of my bathrooms 24/7. I added a 250watt infared heat bulb and I noticed that the plants are reacting very nice.



My question is I want to go to 12/12 but i dont want my clone to start budding. My big ???? plant hasnt really showed sex organs yet. Please help me out let me know what I should do at this point.

How about putting one of the clones into 12/12? if the clone blooms, then you know the mother is indeed a mother,,, Besides you can easily keep one clone in a dark. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks (depending on the mother plant's maturity) for the clone to show its true color..

Im sorry WALKTHELINE the clone I just purchased last friday... I want to make that one a mother... The big plant I have I cant tell the sex of it is. should I put that one in the dark til it start showing hairs and switch back to 24/7 floro..Thanks

Im not sure about the heat light, as to much heat will burn your plants. Also, i would change your light cycle to 18/6 on your mother to see its sex sooner, then you could go back to 24/0 and get clones from it. Wait, what are you wanting to put in 12/12, because your seedling needs to be at least 3-4 weeks old before you flower. And you cant put your mother in 12/12, because its now being flowered. So i guess im not understanding your question:hippy:

Ok, take a clone from your mother and put it on 12/12 and look for pistils:thumbsup: then ya know your plant is a girl:hippy:

Ok again, you need to get your seedlings closer to the light, because they are stretching for the light. Also that light you have in the 2nd pic is perfect to put a y splitter in it, then two more in the first y splitter and you will have a killer light. I used 3 of those with 4 cfl bulbs. They work great if ya cant afford better lighting. Pic 1 is the lighting and 2 is my seedlings getting ready:)

Thanks for stopping by my post... The main question is can I put the big plant in 18/6 til i see pistol then put it back under 24/7... Plus I like how your lites are set up thats a good idea...:joint1:

The lights are easy if ya understand what a y splitter is, as ome people just has never needed one before anYou can put it at 18/6 till you see pistils then back to 24/0 light, but you could also take a cutting and put that in 12/12 so that you dont stress out your mom. Anything to not stress her will give you better odds of it going male/hermy. Just take a cut below a node and put it in soil. Now everyone is going to tell you to get root cloning gel, which is advised. Everyone i know here uses some sort of gel, or powder. I have taken 2 clones in my life an never used it, but both clones grew. I just made sure that i got a node an a leaf and just put it in a cup with moist soil, but buried it as deep as i could. But it was only an experiment and will be getting rooting gel soon.
d dont know what they are. I can say that they work well if ya gotta bunch. Look in the ''Grow Log'' section and check out ''Monkeybones'' grow, you will be amazed at that plant he grew with cfl's its huge.

Thats cool, just make sure ya read a lot too, that way you can answer your own questions sometimes. But, theres great growers in here that will be chimming in as your grow gets started:hippy:
