Day 2
6 sprouts 1" tall
3 nothing yet
7 have sprouted. Waiting on two more. Tallest one at 1.5"
BeGiNnInG oF DaY 5
2-2.5" tall
watering every other day
Enjoy!
did the last 2 sprout?
they did but had extreme abnormalities. so two more were germed and are planted. They will be roughly 5-6 day behind!
Everything is looking GREAT! so far 5 are doing amazing. Out of the two that had to be replanted, one has sprouted, still waiting on the other. Comments!
Nice
That HID setup is awesome you will see some great results, but the reflector tends to hold in alot of heat, I would put an oscillating fan blowing directly at it, so you can lower the light later on when they get into there vegetative stage. (will help reduce stretch)
What size pots are those?
Also what is that bagseed from good, mid, dirt?
Just before i read your post i changed the light height and the direction of the flow from the fan. The pots are only 1 gallon and the seeds are good. I got them from a trip down to the bahamas.
Day 9
Height varies from 2-3.5"
3rd nodes
Day 10
any updates?? i just got a 400 mh/hps set up like yours recently..i'm interested to see how great these will turn out!
Just a little critique and a suggestion. Your setup looks great ,all the way around, but why are you growing bagseed? It appears that you have a substantial investment in equipment, why not invest a little money in good seeds?
The main reason for planting these seeds is curiousity. Just to see how they turn out... for fun. I'll be putting up more pictures later. My other computer is having issues. But all is well. 1 female for sure, waiting one the other. 3 were males. Still using Tiger Bloom every other watering with minor foliar feeding every now and then. Again for curiousity i've thrown in four more seedlings to see what the yeild would be off of a plant starting on 12/12. Feel free to leave any advice!!!:rastasmoke:
Update
Plants look good. I think. I almost had a seizure looking at the pics! HID and cameras dont mix well. If you can kinda weasel your camera between the bulb and the plant (like it was from the bulbs point of view) itll be clearer. 400w bulb and free seeds, fuck it its better than the pot you had from hypothetical seeds. Ditch the foliar feeding, sun spots suck. Oh and theyre still small enough to move out from under the light for some photo ops.
Plant One
Plant Two
any ideas on red/purple stem?

Your ventilation setup looks exactly like what I'm wanting to do. How is the noise level on that inline fan?
In the room that has the closet in it, nothing that would keep you awake at night, about the same as a nightstand fan. If you are outside the room and closet both with the door shut, you can't hear a thing. Overall its a great setup, 100% worth it.
:thumbsup:hi dank,sorry,i have'nt checked this out for a while,they are looking MIGHTY FINE,nice growing! :jointsmile:Quote:

Enjoy! :rastasmoke:
Plant #2
400w HPS/MH light
4" Carbon Filter
4" Inline-Fan (170 CFM)
20" Circulation Fan
Scott's Garden Soil
FoxFarm Grow Big and Tiger Bloom
Tap Water :) Enjoy
Will post next thursday
Looking good! Nothing wrong with growing out good bag-seed, good way to keep things interesting. It's like opening up a Cracker-Jack box,.. You know you'll get a prize, ya just don't know how good of a prize. :)
Any hints?
How much was your carbon filter? And where are you venting too? And how well does that carbon filter work?
Carbon Filter and fan were a combo for $140
Currently the air just recirculates up and flows over the bulb of the HPS
Cool down the light dramatically
And yes the carbon filter works amazingly! My neighbors aren't that far away and so far nothing, no smell what so ever in the entire place.
