11 day old seedling pls help!

I have roughly 11 day old seedlings under a 26w 42w 13w in a box lined with foil my ph for water is a steady 6.7, temps are at around 78 an humidity at 32% i have a heating pad under plants an a fan set on low 5 feet away creating a very mild breeze i was watering daily because of heating pads but stopped cuz one out of three started showin signs of mabey overwatering didnt water for a 36 hours an still no signs of improvement soil was mostly bone dry, now it seems to have spots an other two seem stunted all problems started after second set of true leaves started coming in here is some pics of the all three only one seems to be doin mildly better. The one in the back still only has one set of leaves hasnt shown any signs of growth in almost 4-5 days. ive tilled the soil a inch above but the one thats drooping dosnt seem to be rooted well.

what is the lighting schedule you ar using? how many hours on and off?

what type of soil are you using?

Im using a pro mix potting and seedling mix says dont need fertilizer for 2-3 weeks my light sched is 18-6

Are you still using the heating pad?

If your ambient temp is 78, and the beans have sprouted, I don't see a need for the pad. The extra warmth is useful to germinate, but I imagine it does more harm than good once the roots head south.

yeah i took out heating pad hopefully that will help my healthy plant has the "fake" leaves tuning yellow isnt that a sign of lack of nitro? seems odd at only 11-12 days an brow spots getting worse on the drooping one only on the fake leaves tho. Thanks for the input an any other advise would be greatly appreciated as im a first timer.

oh An also jus to clear it up how often should i water plants that size in those containers, an about how much per plant roughly mabey im jus misimformed i water once a day cuz they seem to dry fast in those but mabey without heating pad i should do it 3-4 days?

Those are definately savable man, dont worry. The heating pad is gone now right? that can alsocause moldin your soil if its to overwatered and to hot. The best way to water plants is acually simple. take yor finger and stick it to the first line on your finger (bout 1") if your finger feels moistur you are ok, keep checking until the top inch is rather dry, than water just a little bit every 20 or 30 seconds and give tthe water a chance to seep to the bottom and absorb in the soil. If the water sits above the soil longer than a second before seeping down, it has enough water. how big are your pots? I had a 3 gallon and only had to water her about 16-20 OZ of water every 3 days or 2.5 days. for you roots, you can buy SUPER PLANT TONIC off of eay for $7.50 it is the bes thing in the world, i think literally, for healthy roots, its concentrated bacteria (not nutes) that soak into your roots and assist in opening the channels in the roots for them to flow through. i know that was a lot but hope it helped

Quit overwatering them, and are you spraying them, too? If so...I'd stop. Is there a fan on 'em?

Ditch the tinfoil. CFL's light doesn't extend far enough to rebound back and be a benefit, but will trap and reflect heat.

No need for additional beneficial bacteria, unless you like barking up the wrong tree. No offense to those that swear by these different types of additives and miracle tonics, but most are unnecessary and some are potentially harmful for either you or your plants.

Learn to grow, then learn to optimize your grow. If you can bring a seedling to harvest without all the unnecessary bells and whistles, you've saved yourself a lifetime of searching for the non-existant "miracle" tonic/tea/mix/incantation/moon phase. (and have saved shitloads of cash in the process :thumbsup:)

yeah i got a outtake fan at top an one blowin in i cant bring myself to stop watering them mabey its the bio degradable containers that let it breath to much cuz between that, the fan an the 78degree heati the soil is bone dry in like 12 hours im talkin only moister is a inch or two down an it jus feels like soil out of the bag but the bottom layer of soil is also bone dry i let it go for over a full day an my healthiest got a bit crispy an brown on tips had to clip or crumble it is more like it. some of that may have been heat burn so i moved my lamps up. i guess im jus gonna stop watering jus that one an see if it fixes itself if not it prolly dosnt deserve to live...... in dug a little tryin to see the roots an this stupid plant grew the roots sideways in one direction like a inch an half under soil instead of down that could have somethin to do with it?

No. But it is time to transplant, which would help with moisture retention. I wouldn't dick with the roots too much either. :thumbsup:

hey thanks again rusty for the advice an then takin time to follow up on my response ima transplant them asap an hopefully have some pics of improvement. Im in process of buillding a stable grow box or cabinet rather wich im sure will also greatly hlp allready got my 400w mh with interchangeable hps bulb jus tryin to find rigth cabinet with right price.

Hello! I have a 10 day seedling with the same problem as you. Did you resolve this with transplanting? Was it the over watering? Plants still alive and healthy after two and a half months?
Can't post a pic yet.

So, how do they look now?

Ah. Silly me. I thought you were in the Plant Problems section looking for the remedy to your plant's ill's, in someone else's thread.
Each growroom and gardener is different, as are the soils used, nutrients, lighting... So if looking to get a diagnosis for your kids, start your own thread so we know the conditions and pertinent info and can offer you a diagnosis for YOUR plants, not someone elses. (his remedy may be different than your remedy)

I already solved my problem, low PH, thanks to threads like this. (S)He started perking up within 18 hours.

I'd hope to find out if your advice to this guy worked or if his plants died anyway.

I'm not nearly as concerned with thread hijacking, as I am that you are following someone else's plant problem post and assuming his fixes will cure your ills, too. Sometimes it works out ok for that...sometimes not.
