So how about some insite on what will be happening at this convention in a couple of weeks.
Are the dispensary's going to set up shop there (I don't think medicating will be possible there...lol)
will the smoking accessary's be availble..pipes..bongs etc..?
will there be grow classes at the convention ?
any info would be appreciated..
So far the event is 80% full with vendors. Not sure what percentage are dispensaries. If you go be sure to stop by our booth, we are giving out free stuff like t-shirts and what not.
What is the location of it,time and date.Thanks
April 2nd and 3rd at the Colorado Convention center downtown. I believe it starts at 4pm on the 2nd and runs until 10pm, then 10am - 10pm on the 3rd.Quote:

I'm still waiting for the site to update their list of vendors who will be attending. As of today, it wasn't up. It's been that way all week. They (Kush) said Hempcon was very successful event. This is the first time we've participated.
If you have any suggestions for us, please let us know. We will be raffling off prizes and handing out flyers. The prizes are coming from us and some our dispensary clients.

I for one refuse to go just becuse probly 75 percent of those boths are dispencerys out for profit and as I stated in a differant post dispencerys are the problem ppl not the salution and to go there is to give them money wich only keeps them alive.
how many of you have gotton a so called top shelf grade med ...got it home and found your freinds swag weed dose about the same as the so called top shelf?

or how many of you actualy mic your mmj before purchase and see that the budz have been mined of all the surface tri coms so they could make more money off of meds youve payed for?
see this chit all the time but yet here are ppl who seeem oblivious to the fact that the dispencerys dont care for the patient they care about the profit and they have proven a disregaurd for the laws wich is why more laws are being imposed.
personaly I dont see why patients would support the very industry responsible for there dificultys in getting medicated hassel free and at a cost that means they can be medicated.
dont support these types of activitys folks or dispencerys...with holding buisness will hurt them and there are so many of us smaller growers with actual top shelf none tumbled sugary buds for less....It may take you a little trial and error to find the right small grower but when you do and theres longevity to the relationship youll find yourself back out of the big picutre or lime light so to speak. Most small growers will weigh and let you mic before purchase uless they are hiding something as well as sample for effect an flavor...I know I do...but from my prespective that is more valuble then a stupid t shirt and a buncha bs on how this or that dispencery sells top quality meds...dispencerys are there to bring in buisness and I emagine it will be just like the usual....great attitude and product at first till they have yer rights then the switch....bad attitude and crap meds.
one last parting thought...dispencerys are being watched closly ppl...dont think for a minute the feds wont be some place taking pics and collecting info for futher use.....I wouldent go near the place personaly ...especialy if you grow....be stupid to leave a trail of bread crumbs for them to follow....good example...the guy who let 9 news view his grow only to have the feds show up that week to bust him...he was growing commercialy so the loss of low grade meds and an illegal grower is no big loss...but this should alert ppl to the dangers of open activity like conventions and such...even when yer leagal its best to stay below the line so to speak.

That show will include more than 300 vendors, legal Q&As and other panels, an autograph session with Cypress Hill, a hemp fashion show with more than forty models each day, and performances by No 1 Left Standing, P-Knuckle, Synthetic Elements and Tatanka. In order to spread the word, the new organizers have set up a Colorado Cannabis Convention Hotline at 1-888-958-7452 (press 7); they're also holding a mandatory meeting for vendors at 2:30 p.m. April 2 at the convention center.
Doors open to the public at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 2, and the show runs until 10 p.m. that night, then from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 3. Daily admission is $15. Sounds boring as fuck to me. Lets talk about weed all day but not smoke any. I cant even be in a dispensary for more than 30 minutes without feeling the need to smoke a bowl.
We need to have a real convention for growers and patients , where we can smoke an network. Not just a bunch of companies throwing an even to try and sell weed related services.

The overall event was bigger than I thought it was going to be. By the time I got to the end, my knee was killing me! Cussing I didn't bring any tincture to medicate on the way home. Recommend taking the lightrail down. Made it a lot easier getting in & out of there. Friday afternoon & evening was busy, but have a feeling Saturday is going to be crazy! I can only imagine how huge the next one is going to be!

Found an Incredibowl for $100, which is insane. I'm sure a few other people ran to the ATM to take advantage of that deal. Shit, you can buy one and sell it on CraigsList unused for $160 easily ha.
But yeah, pretty fun event overall, nice vibe and it was interesting seeing some of the smoking device demos. Scott Durrah's cooking demo was cool too, and the jerk chicken pasta was damn tasty.

But yeah, ridiculous deal... they're normally $200 and good deals are $180 w/tax. I lucked out on mine at $120, but this one was $120 including a cool hand-blown slide that makes it much easier to light (which was one of the main knocks on it). I knew it was a matter of time before glassblowers started making accessories, which is cool.
Nice review MMJ. I'll have to get me one. I clean my pipe out between bowls and never go more than 2 or 3 without using the alcohol and pipe cleaners, so the cleaning issues wouldn't bother me. I DO insist on using hemp wick though, so I wonder if this will make it a no go?

Yeah if you have average to big hands and can pull the carb with one hand, the wicks aren't really an issue. But it's just kinda awkward... no more than a bong though really, anything 2-handed is a bit awkward with the hemp wicks. If you nail the bowl with alcohol or whatever, that should keep it decent... the little interior screen will definitely goo up, but you can clean that one every 5 or so times and it'll be like new.
It's my most-used piece by far.
I got my incredibowl at the last Cannabis convention, I think it was in December. Not as big as the recent convention but $100 for an incredibowl is great.
I really love mine. Big solid hits of heavy smoke just what I like. Can taste and smell the difference in each strain. A few things I have found:
The bottom screen seldom needs to be replaced. I just place it into hot water to get the resin off it. Adding a screen to the actual bowl in necessary. It really prevents things from getting clogged.
The one thing I hate is that alot of your weed gets trapped between the bowl and the metal side that holds it. I try to clean it out during filling with a stoker but every few days I take out the bowl and retrieve the weed that is unsmoked but trapped. Its interesting you never know what that bowl will taste like.:rastasmoke:
$100 is a decent deal for this, you can spend that much easily on any pipe. My daughter in law got a cute glass pipe shaped like an elephant. So cute and only $20.
I think there needs to be a Colorado Growers Expo.
The Convention was sorely lacking in grow shops and grow supplies. It seemed to focus on dispensaries and paraphernalia.
Also, a big thumbs down to all the dispensaries who posted on CraigsList that Cypress Hill was "headlining" the event. Those ads seem to purposely mislead people into thinking they would actually perform.
we got there and didn't get 20 feet in the door before the Farmacy was trying to get us to sign them up as caregivers. LAME.
we went Saturday. It was my hope that perhaps some nutrient companies would be there, at least you would think Advanced Nutrients and maybe Canna, no? There was a guy with indoor growing cabinets, and an auto-trimmer company, but that was pretty much it. It seems like the convention really missed the mark in the area of growing... seems so basic. I was pretty disappointed about that.
I know I'm an old fuck, but damn, the music was so loud it was hard to talk to anyone. We left because it seemed like Cyprus Hill would be coming on soon, they were signing the new album, etc. But they never played?
