Not getting a good high anymore...?

Hey there guys, I was just wondering about something that has started to happen recently. I'm not sure why, but it seems that whenever I smoke by myself now (have been for about a month every day pretty much) and I only stay high for like... 30-45 minutes now. During that time I am pretty damn blazed but it goes away SO fast! Is it because I play video games afterwards...? Does that kill the high or something?

When I smoke by myself I smoke an entire bowl and it usually lasts me like 8 hits or so. I even made a bowl today and sprinkled a lot of kief on top... still only lasted maybe an hour before the high was gone.

wtf is going on?! :(

Oh and what I smoke is just some good mids, thats it.

You may just be building up resistance. I think its happening to me, i smoked a king l to myself and I didnt even feel that high. Was quite depressing !

Maybe give up for a bit and let your resistance lower ?

I did give up for two months and i got so stoned when i started again.

Even try a few days. I went about 3-4 days without and smoked 2 bowls out of a pretty big piece. I was CHOPPED

That's tolerance for ya. Just a few years ago one hit of mids got me blasted. Nowadays I can smoke two bowls of nugget and still not be as high as I used to get.

You'll probably also start to notice that as time goes on, you get a little less "silly" when you're high. At least that was the case for me - there's a point at which simply relaxing and playing guitar becomes more fulfilling than spitting chunks of oreo everywhere because you can't stop laughing about how you just ate an entire sleeve in two bites.

Faddenator, you hit the nail on the head man lol. I actually DID notice not to laugh as much and act ridiculous... now I just play a game (ff13 lol) and get mesmorized at how beautiful it is!

plants know when you abuse them, I think the buds are trying to tell you something. "stop wasting your time smoking me and playing video games all day" instead of smoking and playing video games try not smoking and gardening, or reading a book about something, like a math, art or basketball book, whatever you want to learn more about. try playing a musical instrument. Try getting laid.
sitting around smoking weed and playing video games all day, every day sounds like a really bad addiction. like a speed freak or someone addicted to church or food.

Gotta put stuff in perspective man,smoke less for a bit,get higher grade stuff,try medicating in different way i.e. edibles,take a hiatus for a week and come back. theres all sorts of reasons that it happens and it happens to all of us eventually.Thats just the nature of things.

Try a different strain. You build up an immunity/tolerance to a certain strain if it's smoked constantly. You should vary it, you could find somethin that gives you the exact kind of high you are lookin for

Well all I do is get mids... I'm not really sure how to get different strains or even how to tell which is different than the other lol. Oh and wow Demoreal... I think you are blowing what I said way out of context. I did not mean that ALL I fucking do 24/7 when I smoke is play video games. It' one of my activies that I enjoy to do when I finally have a break from work, school, and spending time with my girlfriend. I smoke to sleep better, relieve pain from arm issues I have had, and I even do it when I go out and run errands among other things.... jesus.

what you need to do is find another strain then.

Most reputable dealers if you buy on the street will have somewhat of a clue, Or go to a decent co-op where they can show you what the differences are etc. Its generally pretty easy for most folks to find different stuff,but I live in Cali where variety is very easy to come by so I have no idea about most of the other states.

Im high all the time but it feels like im immune cos i dont feel stoned but i am,i know i am cos if i dont smoke i feel weird cos im not used to it,:wtf: make sense of that hehe. Heres my tip of the day smoke highgrade and drink beer it gets you proper fucked ,not just a little but alot..:thumbsup:

It does work. Dont listen to people that say ' dont mix', they are simply moist.

You are not going to want to hear this, but many of us who regularly medicate using concentrates, no longer get high period.

We do get stupid and more stupid if we keep pushing for a euphoric high, but alas, they are but a fond memory.

yea man, all i can suggest is buy some dank or lower your tolerance. grind more kief... go outside and get the adrenaline in you, the fear of the popos helps sometimes lol. don't eat after you blaze. just keep on smoking

I totally agree, also if you want the buzz to last longer try some edibles and then smoke. It last longer and and you get a tasty treat!

Yea I have never found I have gotten higher after eating, it is always the opposite lol.

You definitely need to have different strains. I have over 30 going this year thanks to trading with other medical growers.

When the season first ended I could barely smoke a joint of Afghan Goo or White Widow without totally geeking out. Now I can smoke either much easier but I definitely rotate varieties to keep getting a good buzz.

The Medibles, I make cookies, brownies and candy, are always totally awesome. Before I had the cookies I could hardly sleep with my back pain. Now I am guaranteed at least 4 hours of solid sleep before the pain wakes me again.

Yeah, usually it's good to eat BEFORE you smoke cause food will totally kill your high. Now if your heading to bed, that's a different story. Grab a few snacks and your out like a light. :)

Afghan goo, WOO!! I just had some of that :)

I can't wait for this fall. I have around 35 varieties in my little box. Several I have never tried but should be good. I am dying to try pineapple, green crack, platinum kush and black domina grown to full maturity outdoors.

I heard pineapple actually isnt that great. Is this true? I'm not trying to hate on it :)

Hopefully I will be able to update this forum around December on the quality of pineapple. The pineapple takes forever to finish. It will probably have to grow until late November. I am growing over 35 strains this year so I can decide for myself which ones I like best. I just need to avoid the mold this year on the late ones.
