HELP! ADVICE WINTER GROW???

2 female plants 1 ak 47 three ft tall healthy plant and 1 afghan about two and a half ft tall also healthy...both wer FIM at about 2 ft........the afghan was also bent......they were started indoors till about 1 and a half ft....but were moved outside in late january which is still winter.....its now march and they still look good...the only thing is that they seem to be stuck between flowering and vegging..
Does anyone have any advice? when will they continue flowering? what are the negative effects of moving them outdoors too early? will the difference in sunlight throw them of and turn them to hermies? any knowledge is appreciated

I'm experimenting with this as well right now. I took a clone, threw it into flowering indoors to check the sex then put it outside a few weeks ago. It's still flowering nicely, supposed to finish mid April if it doesn't revert. A few years ago I put some plants outside about the same time without the forced 12/12 and they grew for the whole season, started budding in July.

i see so if they dont revert i should expect a spring harvest..and if they do revert they will bud like they normally would have? How do i know if they revert?

I guess it's a waiting game, in a week or two if you don't see the buds forming then you just missed the window.

Il bet they stat to veg after they have been in the ground for awhile. Today is first day of spring, so its 12/12 today. But, as time goes there will be more light then dark. So, im thinking you got them out at a perfect time for them to veg, then finish out there cycle.

if you can . try placing a trash can over it when the 12 hours of light are up. or whatever to make it dark if it was flowering under 12/12 indoors it might outdoors.it is a toss up try it and see what happens. If in a container you can bring it into a dark closet .when light hours are up..

krisk1227 is absolutely right. You can give a plant 12/12 any time of the year using light deprivation. The best way is just building a cheap wooden frame around your plant and every day just going out and covering the frame over with black trash bags or panda film. Just covering the plant itself if the easiest way but its healthier if you make a frame.

Just make sure your frame is tall enough because they are going to get much bigger!

well i decided to let nature take its role..1 the ak 47 kept flowering and is close to being done. it has some amazing buds. very frosty. smells amazing kinda like trix the cereal.i wish they were a bit fatter thogh. the afghan went back to vegetative growth which is fine with me.

Right on, you got both ways so at least you can enjoy the AK while waiting for the Afghan to grow...Check out Rusty's Bonsai Downsizing if you want to try and regrow the AK so it can join the other...

wow cant remember i think it was towards the end of november...i had them indoors under a 600w mh....towards the end of january i moved them out and put em in the ground...

so they were inside for about 2 months b4 u kicked em out.....

interesting so u can get 2 harvest per year outside....
