Deadly Attacks Mar Early Voting in Iraqi Elections - NYTimes.com
Think that stopped those brave people from standing in line for 6 hours to cast their DEMOCRATIC vote?? Oops.....guess not...the sky is ALWAYS falling for you poor chicken littles isn't it. Do I really need to post more purple finger pics for ya gyps? Deep down it must kill you to see Iraq coming along so nicely...which is odd cause I thought you so-called "progrssives" loved people exercising their freedoms? Yea right. Open minded huh......as long as everyones opinons match yours I suppose. If the world depended on people like this we would all be in alot of trouble. :pimp:
It really is an amazing thing to see, isn't it. They are voting now, in spite of all the violence. People here in US don't even vote just because they might miss american idol or something. It is humbling but at the same time inspiring. :twocents:Quote:

Good luck Iraq and god bless all the troops who went over there and fought.

Frankly, I'd prefer to count the votes on legalization in three western US states. Finally start doing what the federal government won't do. As for Iraqi democracy, if you want to call it that, I don't give a rat's ass. Wasn't worth the cost in lives or treasure, regardless of how you want to dress the pig. :pimp:Quote:

I agree with that.Quote:

Really? When Saddam was captured it was members of his "tribe" that turned him in?
How Saddam Hussein was captured SADDAM HUSSEIN
The last people anyone should take middle eatern tribal information from are white liberals in the states. Wanna know what out weighs these tribal feuds....THEIR CHILDRENS FUTURE. Haters.
Why is it that you believe these humble peoples cant mentally get passed their tribal heritage for a greater & common good? That mentality speaks pretty loudly. The barely visible democracy in Iraq wont look anything like what we have here or anywhere else for that matter, but it sure is better than a murderous dicatator who mocked and punked the UN for 20 years, killing MILLIONS of his own peoples and "tribe"......used Sarin gas on the Kurds in the North, raped hundreds of thousands of women in Kuwait, and threw people off tall buildings for execution. If i wouldnt get in trouble Id post videos taken by the republican gaurd of their exploits.Quote:

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Bush reads the Times this morning:pimp:
Any thing Western Culture has touched with indigenous peoples its fucked up. Tribal people like it just the way it is, or they wouldn't need to be forced to change. And, it was the Iroquois Confederation that really gave the founders something to base the foundation of our present system upon. Read the true history of the founding. The Founders emulated a part of what they saw as a successful tribal governmental system representing all the different tribes in the confederation in the formation of the separate branches of our government and the independent states. :jointsmile:Quote:

sweet....one leftist publication against another debating the success of Iraq and wether they are big enough to admit it. My point exactly.:pimp:
But hey....atleast the Iraqi success will be one of Obama's greatest achievements lmao.:D good for him
Right wingers are going the way of the dinosaurs. The aren't for true freedom, but their own version of nanny freedom. Same for the far left nannies. Like we can fix the world's problems when we can't even get ours straight. The old adage applies here....Clean up your own house first. :D
Good riddance.....I resent both trying to tell grownups how to live their life...Ill do whatever I want regardless...we are gonna reach a tipping point soon I hope.
However, we as a people should be very weary of whatever will arise next, with the right looking to pick up 60 or so seats all around. The extremes from both "sides" need to be exposed first, exploited, and then destroyed and the left overs will be forced to form their own parties which NOBODY will vote for.
Getting rid of this pathetic PC nation we live in would also help.....there are way to many sniffling pussies in America and NEVER will their thirst for a "fair" world be satisfied.....not keeping score in t-ball creates whiny bitches for kids who cant handle people doing better than them when they get to the actual real world....creating all these broke welfare programs does NOTHING but keep people in the sewer...if it helped AT ALL....it would have atleast made a dent...which it hasnt. People HAVE TO HELP THEMSELVES. Story over
Well, this democracy can't even get the votes counted in a timely manner. Right now al Maliki is in the saddle, but he may have competition from Ahmed Chalibi's Shiite group. Remember Chalabi, the liar? Yeah, real democracy in action when criminal scumbags get to run for office. :D

Your kidding right? America has been a democracy for how much longer than Iraq?? Our elections look almost exactly the same.....minus the sand and drugged kids blowing themselves up cause daddy is a uneducated islamoconservative....it aint pretty but its BETTER than any other form of government. Id love to see those whacky Danes implement their govt here with a nation our size and population...what-a-joke. Wake up.
Your nitpicking....it will never be good enough for you...cause those people according to you, just simply get past their tribal heritage...and please explain why that is in your opinion? Careful.....screams of racism arent far off lol. Its all good though.......we'll leave the light on for ya.
You and I both know deep down that at SOME point in the coming years....your gonna have to admit that Iraq is much better off.

Yes, fraud is rampant in their election now, just like it is in ours or was in 2000 and 2004. We just have Christian Conservatives who want to tell everybody what to do. Not far off from a type of Taliban.
If you want to know more about tribal people, read an anthropology book. Tribal ties are just as strong and tight as family ties. You don't take what I say but you will find the same things in a book. :stoned
What convinces you that we are the greatest thing since sliced bread???? We don't even have politicians of any party that actually support and do things in promoting the GENERAL WELFARE, but they do assure the corporate welfare even when they ship jobs from the US to overseas. :pimp:
This just in, and its from Iraq about mass graves post Bush's invasion. The only question is are they the result of sectarian violence, or those buried and not counted as war dead from the bombings during the war.Quote:

first we had that little "whiff of fascism" down in Florida then the computerized "voting machines" bs in Ohio, then Afgan and then Iran. The only recent election that hasn't had someone calling fraud was Obama's. (except for the all the people who think he was non eligible to run .. )Quote:

what i find truly amazing here is how iraq who under the saddam regime was such a hell hole we had to go and bring democracy to them but it was us and the brits that put saddam in power. lets not forget who created this monster. so is it that we gave them democracy or is it that we finally corrected our mistake? from my point of view we corrected a mistake.
iraq is like a woman with 2 black eyes that keeps goin back to an abusive lover. if the people aint learned their lesson about freedom and keep lettin others abuse them, oh fuckin well.
and these "demorcratic elections" if you truly beleive that they are on the up and up then maybe the people actually loved saddam and thet is the reason they never took up arms against the regime. i myself beleive that they are as about as honest as the iranian elections. or as honest as the US will let them be.
oh and before you say im a liberal hater let me say this screw the liberals and the conservatives let me live as i want to live.
