as a native Californian I support Prop 420 :stoned: because it will eliminate the medical records Californians must have now in order to be legal and, if successful, will likely be a model for other states to follow  (my guess, Washington , Oregon, Colorado, you know ... the really cool states.

If we did legalize it we would save money on the war on drugs, lives lost by the cartels, free up space in our jails for child molesters, generate needed taxes.
How come all those stars who smoke and come out to support their political leaders never say? I am happy to campaign with and for you as long as you talk about marijuana reform.
How come they do not let our farmers grow hemp? We keep talking about going green yet we import or hemp products and pay a higher price for it when we do use it.
Hemp money goes out of country which of course could be another revenue source for the Feds and the American people. Do they not remember this was one of the founding crops of the founding fathers.
Industrial purposes include paper, textiles, biodegradable plastics, construction, health food, lubricants, paints, soaps, shampoos and detergents.
The oil is of high nutritional value because its 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 essential fatty acids, which matches the balance required by the human body. It has also received attention in recent years as a possible feedstock for the large-scale production of biodiesel.
Lord knows I feel safer with it illegal. :wtf:

^ all true. :) yeah, I don't get it either. just how can they pull this off for so long? its kind of an amazing trick, really. I really hope the voters in Cali, or some other state, agree this Nov. Just one state dropping cannabis prohibition would be the beginning of the end of the prohib mafia. :smokin:

they can tax the shit out of it and it wont make a bit of difference, people will buy it no matter what.....at least then the govt. will have another source of income instead of the working mans pockets and welfare healthcare.

this just shows how the greed of a few can alter history of our nation!
how is it that the greater good was sacrificed to line the pockets of a few...DuPont, Hearst? why is there not a thread to boycott anything these companies produce or print?
which leads to the question...what do you call 100 politicians on the bottom of the ocean?
A GOOD START!

Ahhh. Misrepresenting the detasils about the Rick Ross case. Since Ricks connection in Nicaragua (the one that set him up for capture) was involved with the Iran-Contra scandal, you connect Rick with the CIA? Perhaps you should be less angry, and more educated. A little detail like facts are essential, if one wants to be taken seriously.
But ya gotta love the paranoia. Gives us something to laugh at while enjoying our morning coffee.
Would love to see your hard evidence for Noriega, Oswald, Barry Seals, Escobar...other than the highly distrusted left-wing sources that are so wrapped-up in their own agenda that facts are no longer necessary. Then again...the feds would love to see your hard evidence as well, I'm sure.
You want to debate these issues, or are you just going to throw the garbage against the wall and see who sticks? Since my education came before the socialized indoctrination y'all have recieved...I'll personally check your sources for validity and accuracy.
So wadda you say...wanna play?

brainwash the masses since the 1930's. it took that long for at least half the public to realize they had been duped. the other half believe the ignorant lies so whole heartedly they go on angry rants about how it makes you stupid and lazy and you have no chance of a career especially when you move on to heroin and meth. so i figure another 80 years and noone will doubt mj.

Yeah...it get's old listening to the anal-retentive types label cannabis as a gateway drug. No mention of sugar, over the counter childrens cold and flu medicines as the major exposures in early development. Seems it's the old " if you say it often enough, it becomes fact" bullshit.
I am curious whom among our community will be squashed like bugs were we to try and enter the cannabis distribution networks forming as we speak. Ya know...the new mega-corporations addressing all of the consumers needs through intimidation, corporate tax shelters and stepping on competition like Microsoft and it's early competitors. (it's the American way)
Good luck with the poorly-named proposition though. Would like to have seen a more responsible title for the measure. Something like: The Cheech and Chong ammendment, or The Bong Bill. This way folks would take the measure more seriously, ya know...?

uhhhh, point of clarification here: It is NOT really being titled Prop 420, I was just having some fun. It has not been given a number yet, as far as know.

I actually think most of the taxes would be for the industrial grade hemp. And crap weed. Think of like this: a pack of camel lights costs less than a pouch of Sir Walter Ragliegh ciggarette tobacco. They're both from North Carolina, but one is grown by basically a boutique/"small shop" grower, the other by RJ Reynolds.
Most people who don't know the difference will never care about the difference, even though the difference is huge.
I think it will be the same with weed. I think lots of people will buy Marlboro Gold (I mean, hell, they already tax the crap out of tobacco, so yeah, $10-$15/pack doesn't sound so scary) and maybe a few people will opt for John Rolfe's Super-Secret-Sunkissed-Stash, but the pouch of John Rolfe will still go farther.
Seriously, it should be legal. And not just because i'm from Virginia. I mean, yeah, we'd probably be the ones growing it, but still. It'd be awesome.

but the Official Title of the Initiative was the "Tax and Regulate Cannabis Act of 2010". I'm no expert but the major difference between this peoples' Prop vs. the Cali congress version is that the tax is optional and local whereas the legislatures version the tax would be mandatory and state wide.
But they both would give all adult Californian's the legal right to raise their own cannabis without the need to keep records for the feds to seize at will. This is the real heart of the matter, in my opinion.
I say best of luck Cali with this. :greenthumb: I'd vote for it I still lived there. :twocents:

I think your right. Who would buy "taxed" weed when they legally grow their own in peace? :rasta: but still, I imagine a LOT of people would and the sales tax revenues generated by grow supplies, that would be huge, either way. :pimp: its a win win for all. :rastasmoke:

Yes. If person A has connection to person B who has connection to agency C, then could you not say, logically, that person A has connection to agency C? Not trying to be a wise ass, just seriously asking.
but, just watch this, the CIA director says there has NEVER been any conspiracies, EVER. case closed. :rastasmoke: Even the boners admit to a lot of this stuff. :stoned:

Only if you want to stretch the connection beyond it's legitimate link. (like most conspoiracy theories are forced to do, to make their paranoia or hatred fit)
If I purchase my groceries from the wife of a cop. Does that mean I am doing business with the cop...?
If I'm purchasing my gas from a station that get's it's gas on the open market, and the source country is a terror sponsor, am I too a terrorist?
<for those that are unsure...the answer is no>
Now if you were to reliably prove the connection, I'd admit the connection. But regardless, the scumbag deserves the initial sentence. I have no remorse for that sack of shit whatsoever. (nor the other's listed, for that matter)

Well, if said groceries were purchased by the wife from the cop, then yes. But I really don't want to argue about it. I think we can all agree that they are all scumbags.
but back on topic, does anyone know of any other states that will have legalization on the ballot this nov. besides ca?

just one more thing about the associations and I'll shut up. :rastasmoke: to be fair, you could also say that someone who buys mexi-brick is also associated with the brutal drug cartels, even though they are only getting it from a friend of a friend who knows someone.
This is one of the reason I really hope we see the end of cannabis cultivation prohibition in America. I really don't like dealing with drug dealers or even letting my friends deal with them, ever. :twocents:

I do have to agree that legalization in any form is better than the current probition or vague power of a physicians statement when you show up in court.
At least I will have an excuse to be driving from point a to point b with a bag of weed in the car and finally not have to worry about getting busted because it was properly taxed.:smokin:
