what's good ladies and gentlemen? me and my boy irydyum decided to switch it up a little bit on the boards. he's got a monster grow show going and monster laziness to boot so he kicked me some pics and told me to do his dirty work. he's shown me nothing from love from day one so i don't mind in the least. (i know some of you readers might because you know how bad i suck at keeping grow logs! lol.) but enough with the preface let's get on to the introductions.
let's start by introducing the room that these bitches will be forced to grow up in. this started out as the back of a closet that he has since pimped into oblivion.
he's running 1x 400W MH, 1x 400W HPS. there is a can fan, carbon filter, fan for circulation and a humidifier as well. keep in mind the closet was put together from scratch including the running of two dedicated circuits, one for each light.
more to follow......

and now the ladies of the hour......
there is 2x trainwreck, 2x ams, 1 white widow and 1x church all from greenhouse seed co. stock.
they were started roughly around the beginning of december.....but oh how they have grown so.....but more on that later.....
they were all started under the MH and allowed to veg under it until they were too big to fit underneath just one light.

okay, so the plants were started in small jiffy pots, with fox farms light warrior (i think). they then made their way into 6" square pots and biobizz all mix. the nutes used for this party are biobizz biogrow, biobloom and top max. 100% organic, simple to use and i think the results speak for themselves. i'll let y'all decide though.
and people want to hate on orgainics, fuh!?

Here's an update, day 16 flowering. Just now starting to show the little poof balls that will soon be juicy nuggets. They are all in 5 gallon square pots, and the tallest is about 52" from the ground. MUCH taller than I expected considering everything I have is an indica. If I hadn't bent the White Widow over it probably would be knocking on 6 feet now.

Looking really nice!
They look vibrant and ready to explode. Maybe it's just me but there is an inherent raw beauty in all cannabis plants, these are really glowing with that force.

I think it's 23, or 24 maybe. Either way they are starting to flower pretty quickly now. The Church is really starting to pack on trichs already, and the Trainwreck looks like a beautiful bush. Here's a couple pics from before lights on today.

This will be fun to watch for sure:weedpoke:

Sad news. Trainwreck seems to have a penchant toward the hermaphrodidic, so, one has been killed (it was riddled with little nutsacks) and the second one lives on. The second one didn't have near the problem the other did, I was able to pull off about 5 that I found. I'll have to keep a vigilant eye out from here on, I don't want that stinker knockin up my girls.
The others, AMS, Church, and White Widow seem to be doing fine.
This is my second grow with Greenhouse femenized stock, and I won't be giving them my business again. Hermies back to back.
I'm going back to the tried and true method of culling males and cloning, femenized has been fun, but it's old school or no school for this cat from now on.
Anyone have any nice "stable" genetics they would be willing to donate to a grower who will treat them well, please hit me up. I know that's a far cry, especially since I can't return the favor of genetics, unless you want some hermie beans. Figured I would throw it out there.
Peace love and dope

Thats garbage, I understand "it can happen" when you purchased feminized seeds. BUT I have already seen several reports of plants herming in the last few weeks from seeds purchased from Greenhouse. I will be looking elsewhere for fem seeds as well. :)

Just a quick thought a large mirror (full length mirror) on some hinges would completely cover that door and also wouldnt look out of place in a closet :)
Could make it extremely stealth

Damn irydyum that really sucks to hear I've been looking into this grow just havent had the chance to post and congrats on your ladies show, but now that you have said that greenhouse has heming problems with there feminized line of seeds I am pretty mad, I have (white rhino, lemon skunk, SSH, big bang) all fem in in there seedling stage and was hoping to make a few mothers.
And if I ever have a good batch of seeds that I know are worth it I will keep you in mind.

step right up to see irydyum's GHSco.-all orgainic-giant tree extraviganza w/ a twist
Appreciate it man. AMS had a nutsack on it today too. I just can't win with these. I'm going to pull off everything I can as I see it and pray for the best.
Sorry you have your grow invested in GHS as well, hopefully you won't see any of the problems with them I have had.
I would be blaming myself for it too if I hadn't had strains stay stable for me in the past. I know it's not my practice that's causing this, I'm pretty dialed in to what I'm doing. It's just the result of a stupid decision I made when ordering about a year ago, and this is my last run of the femmed beans I have.
Back to basics for me. Going to try my damnedest to get ahold of Jilly Bean and Querkle regular seeds from TGA Subcool. I'll be back with a good mother before I know it.
Till then, I just may have to pay attention when I pack a bowl
-
step right up to see irydyum's GHSco.-all orgainic-giant tree extraviganza w/ a twist
Lord knows I can use em Str8. Got this green thumb and whack ass genes. I had my hands on a fantastic cut of Mango when I was in Chicago and that was my bread and butter (avatar pic). Moved and lost hold of the genes, and now I'm back to hermaphs. What a let down.
Another thing I have noticed is there seems to be no stability in phenotype with any of their strains. Each bean I pop turns into something different than the same pack next to it. I'm all for a little diversity, but theirs needs a little more work and a little less marketing. Just one growers humble opinion.

I can't beleive these plants are in such small pots! They look very healthy though. Are you planning on upsizing or just doing the whole grow as is?
-
step right up to see irydyum's GHSco.-all orgainic-giant tree extraviganza w/ a twist
They aren't that small, they are 5 gallons. The plants are just huge so the pots look tiny. They will finish fine in these though, no worries.
Thanks for stoppin:jointsmile:

Nice grow Irydyum
Sucks to hear about the herms :( According to Franco himself at GHS, the TW has a 20-30% chance of herm. Some of their strains are more stable, but the more I read about seeds and genetics, the more I want to just get the standard beans from now on. I guess it's kind of hit-or-miss with the fems, cuz 3 of mine have been fine so far, hope I'm not 'due' on this 4th one I have going :wtf:
Looking forward to seeing more

Thanks for the compliments guys, right on time, I needed to hear something good to counteract the invasion happening.
As far as 20 to 30% herms, why the fuck would you release that strain to market? Seems insulting to consumers to just slip that one by. Do you remember where you read about that?
@Cartman, I love growing trees, pushing the envelope of what my lights can do for me is very gratifying.

I don't wanna post the link cuz it's on another message board, but if you google "Trainwreck this is what I got", it's the first link, post #161

well, to be honest with you and everyone else, I am still studying this banana-rama phenomenon on the wreck. At first I related it to temperature at end of flowering, but then I had proof of the contrary. So I did a matrix feeding test, but the results were random as well. Now I am linking it to light stress and temp drops, but I am still studying.
Anyway, from all the feedback we get about the strain, I can safely say that in 20-30 % of cases few bananas will show up. By no means I consider it a problem, just a signature of the plant.
