EPIC GROW PLAN IN THE WORKS!!!

Allright, I just bought a house...and I thought that nothing would be better than planning a massive housewarming grow. Especially when the plant limits were thrown out by the State Supreme Court in California...and I am a caregiver for enough patients to cover this grow under the old guidelines.

These are my thoughts so far:



(5) 1000 watt HPS lights
(10) 4x2 grow trays
(10) buckets for drain and feed
(10) pumps for feeding
(36) water injectors
(6) Solar panels for home and grow usage
(2) BIG ASS Carbon FILTERS
(4) Can FANS
(6) OSCILATING FANS
(2) STAND ALONE AIR CONDITIONERS



Objectives:

6 plants per tray = total of 60 plants
20 pounds dry
4 grow cycles


Strains:

Heavy yielders, high THC, and super high Quality. Any thoughts??

All I know is that I saw the word Epic in the title and I was in. MAKE IT EPIC. I mean, I want to see pics of fan leaves pouring out the windows of your new home! You know those Cheech and Chong movies, where they pull up to a stop light, roll down the window and the clouds of smoke just come pouring out of the car. The Master Plan:

All right, so my plans have grown even crazier...I am planning (2) Epic grows currently.

My in-laws have both fell on hard times due to the economy. They lost their jobs within the last month, and they know I have been farming for years legally. They asked me to build a grow room in their house too. I could not say no...I got them their licenses today.

SO...this plan is going to be multiplied by two...he he he! My plan is to walk you all through the construction...through the harvesting of first grow. Pics of everything will be included.

I just bought all the gear today (thanks Craigslist). I spent about $2k on all the gear I needed used (and I bought new bulbs from the local hydro shop).


Strains to grow:

I am going to take a suggestions on this for my 2nd grow room (lmao...it is still funny to say after a couple bong rips :jointsmile:). Super Silver Haze is always a fun one (I will be growing this Tiny...great suggestion). Here is the list of what I have available to me.

1.) Super Silver Haze
2.) Blue Dream
3.) OG Kush
4.) Purple Kush (oaksterdam variety)
5.) LA Confidential
6.) ChemDawg (4)

Yes, I like variety...I want to narrow this down to 4 strains...any thoughts?
Pics will be going up as of next week...when I start construction on the first flower room.

chemdog is the shit, you ever heard of JACKS PIPE CLEANER smells like a toilet bowl cleaner or pinesol i grew some last go around and it smelled like i just mopped my hardwood floors but real good stuff

FANTASTIC. The best start to any epic project is to first double it! That's what I'm talking about.

You don't know how many people I have heard with similar stories as your in-laws. Obama very well made his greatest move by declaring to the US that he is no longer interested in pursuing state MJ issues. My guess is that is the first of many salvos making it easier for more and more people to get back on their feet by growing. One of the reasons I wanted to learn this hobby was so that I too would have a back-up plan in the event I lose my income. I have learned so much over the last 3 months. In the event the world comes crashing down around me, I know that with a few k in resources I can get back on my feet in no time.

Ive seen and heard great things about LA Confidential. Have also seen Blue Dream grown outdoors and they had main colas the size of someones leg! No joke... Id love to see how BD would do under all that lighting!

And, I just watched NICE Dreams by Cheech and Chong. I could only hope to someday have an operation like that. But, that would border on greed. I am just trying to make a living...doing something that I love!


MISCOG-----

Um, not a lot of work actually. Put the trays on their stands, Hang the lights, run the Carbon filter system, hook up the CFM fans...and oscilating fans...plug in the drip system into my clones...and it is off and running (There are a few more steps...but this is an easy process). And then, repeat in a second location...duplicating my same rig. Airflow is already taken care of...(did that today!).

Ye, LA Confidential is an amazing strain. I was able to sample one of my growing friends product...it was sinful...like when you are in 6th grade token up hoping mom doesn't bust down the door and catch you. Great stuff. I recommend everyone here pick up some seeds (if not for now...for sometime in the future).

This is the general layout that I am working with. This is the plan...I did not show the air intake area and exhaust...because I am still working this part out. I might be running the exhaust to an adjacent room into a carbon filter there...through the exhaust ducting.

let me know what you guys think...I just wanted to give a visual to this master plan...just think...this is multiplied by 2! :D

Anyways, My first issue came up last night...Went into the room and only one light was on. It looks like my surge protector did its job, but....I think its time for a light controller. No way around it anymore.

The girls have grow about 4 inches in their first week.:thumbsup:

BTW...I will be using bushmaster on this grow...I want to get the tightest group of plants and buds possible...and I have heard great things. Anyone have any info on this product?

I am also working on my lab for cloning and crossbreeding. I am going to start with some Mexican Genetics I was able to secure from a good buddy of mine...and Make some strains of my own. Its time!

SO with this grow...I went with all BLUE DREAM.

I got fantastic results with my last grow (with 2 trays):thumbsup:

So I wondered what it would be like if I had 6 trays running the same strain. The rhetorical question is answered with, " a shit load of meds."

I am probably going to get a trimming machine this time around. Just with the sheer amount of buds I am going to be producing.

good stuff start with about 3ml/gallon and see how the strain does...may take a few grows to find your optimum doseage...but start with small dose and increase...one or 2 doses during the first 2 weeks! :thumbsup:

Updates:

Here are some pictures of the girls week #1 growth...I will be adding more pictures every week.

Nutrients:

I bumped the nutrients up this week...to push them a little harder in veg. This strain is very hearty...so I should be good. I have been pushing these clones since I brought them home. A couple of them have lightly burned tips, which is normal when adding nutes to this strain in the beginning...but, they are flourishing under these lights...I am loving the growth. It looks like they went from 2-4 inches to 8-10 inches in their first week.

...so did I misread the directions. Aren't you supposed to use bushmaster the first two weeks into flower...for 3 days max...and then flush...wait a couple days...and do it again?

Hmmmmm:wtf:...looks like I need to do some more research on this, and test it on a couple plants prior to regular use.:D

i do first day of flower..but i have waited a few days into flower to let my plants get a little stretch going and then hit em. the directions say it can be applied within the first 2 weeks of flower....it does help stack the nodes and increase weight:thumbsup:

Beginning of Week #3...Take a look...I am putting them on full strength nutes for veg today...it has been a gradual build up. I am expecting some nice results this week.

Plants are being topped today. More nodes...more tops...yeah!:D

I have yet to have a problem with these phenotypes...from the same mother. they yielded quite well the last time. Hence the reason for doing the entire grow with one strain this time around.:thumbsup:
