The grow was started Jan. 2 with bagseeds and a few things from my garage. I have had too little light on the plants up until today (Jan. 14). Here is a link to my original post in the "indoor growing" section.

I finally have the time to get an update on here and a few pictures. Any constructive criticism is welcome.
I have very droopy plants and think I may be over watering, but am not sure.
They are planted in regular soil, no nutes, regular temp of 75f-80f during the day and about 68f at night. I water about every other day and it's just enough to get some run-off. I don't know what my ph is and don't have anything to check it with.
Anyway, here are a few pics.
*EDIT* Sorry about the pic size.

Looking good
Just a little over-watered IMO. The plants need wet/dry cycles. Lift the cups to check if they still have water or need to be watered.
Happy growing
thanks for the input. I planned on skipping the watering today to see if that was the problem and they seem to have already lifted some!
For being something that is suppose to have calming affects it sure brings me a lot of stress. ;)

wow beautifull girls (i hope) how many CFLs are you using and how old are they, they look great.
I put the seed in the ground jan. 2. I started out with three 23watt cfls. I added five more on the 14th and saw a HUGE growth spurt.
Thanks for the input super. If I knew how to give props I would...
TehNooblet:pimp:
Well, here is an update. I suspected I was over-watering and let the plants dry out for 2 1/2 days. It resulted in stunted growth and dieing leaves. I added a bit of water and had immediate results. The plant you see that is tied up is just to get it standing straight. Anyway, here you go.
It has been a few days since I have posted so here is an update. I added a few more cfl's, transplanted the girls, and got dirt EVERYWHERE. I am stoked to see how quickly they will grow. I am thinking that the droopy leaves were a product of cramped roots and hopefully this will help out.
Here are a few pics.
TehNooblet:pimp:
It seems that I was correct about the root cramping. The ladies have grown quite a bit and seem to be wearing a lovely skunky perfume.
Sorry for no pics. Battery is charging on the camera. I'll get some on asap.
TehNooblet:pimp:
Nice i have learned that the more light the more rapid growth you will see.Quote:

Also im not sure if you have to enable rep before you rep but its the scale looking icon on the top right of everyones post.
(BTW you should enable you rep by going in User CP)
Yeah, I actually didn't transplant one of the ladies because I had no room. I haven't really even touched her since and she looks pretty droopy... The others are really perking up and have grown a TON. I will post some pictures around 5 or 6 cst.
Skunk, thanks for the input!
I finally got a pics. They are off my phone so the quality won't be great. Anyway, the ladies seem to be stretching their legs and getting a little crazy with the perfume lately. Let me know what you think.
TehNooblet:pimp:
Nice those babies are looking good...
That is a day old and they are even bigger now. lol There is no way I could keep you guys updated as fast as they are growing... I'll post pictures tomorrow. They are looking amazing!
TehNooblet:pimp:
Isn't it awesome to realize that you are seeing progress every day? Man these plants can grow fast.Quote:

It is pretty sweet to watch, caregiver. I am trying a little bit of lst on a few of the ladies and am hoping for good results.
I took a few pics with my phone again so they may be blurry, but here they are.
The ladies are doing great. Quite a bit of growth. I raised the light a few inches so the nodes wouldn't be too close together and they seemed to love it. My only question is when should I begin to flower? They are already on their 5th node and some are even on number six. I have heard some people say that you are suppose to flower on either 4th or 5th nodes. Any ideas?
The longer you wait, the more bud you get. Simple. You don't have a tray of clones so veg as long as you need to fill your space properly. Don't get antsy.Quote:

Thanks guys.
I am on the fourth week from germination so far. I am trying to stretch them a little bit. I am also still attempting some very relaxed lst on a few of the ladies as a future refrence.
Here are a few pics. Once again they are from my phone so they are low quality.
Let me know what you think.

Looking good! I would add some perlite to the mix when you transplant again. It'll help the roots breath, and probably increase growth rate by a bit :thumbsup:Quote:

I do have that one weird plant that was stuck at like 5" and going on its 5th node, but since transplanting it grew an inch, maybe, and stopped growing... I am not sure what is wrong, but any ideas would help.
TehNooblet:pimp:
Everything is looking great. And it is true that with the CFL's it will take longer to grow to maturity and bud, but adding more lumens always helps.
I've got 5x 62W (300w equiv) CFLs putting out 21000 lumens for 4 plants. It's enough for what I have, but I feel like I could still use more.
Also, what kind of soil mixture are you using? I say you said you used some fresh soil, but did you mix anything in it like: Perlite, spaghum moss, etc.?
Keep up the good work, don't be discouraged by the CFLs, think of them as a challenge.
Smoke some
K
The soil is just top soil, compost, and peat moss. As for lighting I have 8 23w cfls and am hoping to add more when I get it in the budget. They have all grown today and are looking amazing.
Like I stated before, the one plant does look differently. I think the issue is that it may just be a different strain. The nodes are extremely tight and the color is a much lighter shade of green than the others. I am hoping I just accidentally planted a kind bud seed. *knocks on wood*
Any and all input is welcome!
TehNooblet:pimp:
Well, the ladies seem to be thriving and I am happy with their growth so far. I have a few pics from yesterday and here they are.
Let me know what you think.
TehNooblet:pimp:
The plants look great! Just out of curiosity, how high do you have your lights? they should be close - no more than 2-3 inches away from each plant. It looks a little like one of those guys wants more light, but thats about it.Quote:

Thanks for the input. It is much appreciated!
TehNooblet:pimp:
Looking good still. Becareful when stretching them out though, you need to take into account that they will stretch some more when flowering.
My 3 sativas are getting almost TOO big for me (this was without any FIM, LST, or topping), they have already entered flowering and still growing! I'm not complaining though, just have to learn to deal with it.
K
Babies are looking great
although because of CFL's lack of penetration I recomend that you move them closer (2-3inches) CFL's barely reach the lower leaves so it isn't doing much up there.
Also streching dosent increase yield so why not keep the lights lower to make sure the bottom leaves get light.
Just an idea
The lights are about 2-3" now. I wasn't too worried about the lower branches getting light. I have a few bulbs on the sides, but usually raise them for pics and such.
Thanks for the input,
TehNooblet:pimp:
I am one month and 4 days into this grow and seem to be doing better than I expected. My tallest plant has 9 nodes and the others are close behind. Here are a few pics of the ladies.
Let me know what you think.
TehNooblet:pimp:
Sorry for the delay. Here is an update. All the plants seem to be doing really well. I have one very tiny one, but she has been growing quickly lately.
Here are a few pics
The first picture is of my midget plant. I raised the lights for the other plants and am getting burns on a few of the leaves, but I am trying to wait for the midget to grow...
Let me know what you think! I am always willing to hear a few more good pointers!
TehNooblet:pimp:
They definitely look like they're doing well to me! :D
They look good if you want to keep the light high for the other ones, and keep the short one getting the same amount of light just put something under her to raise her up to that height.
When i was dealing with height issues and wanted to keep my light stationary i put a bunch of sneaker boxes and removed each one ass the plant grew to close to the light.
:greenthumb:
That does make sense. I guess I have been a little too relaxed to worry about it... If you know what I mean :rasta:
Most of the ladies are up to 10-12 nodes now. I am wondering how much longer until I see early signs of sex...
TehNooblet:pimp:
def looking great over there sexy ladies  out of curiosity what in the world are you feeding them... they look a great color! looks like everything is where it needs to be
Too be perfectly honest I havent fed them anything their entire lives. I am using organic soil and regular tap water that sits out 24-48hrs before I use it. I think I am just really really lucky so far. *crosses fingers and knocks on wood*
Thanks for the input man!
TehNooblet:pimp:
I think it's awesome that you haven't fed them any nutes and they're growing so great! It sounds like figured out your watering problem very quickly. I'm sure I still have to learn my lesson. I'm on my first grow and just started my grow log yesterday. Since you're a couple weeks ahead, I might be following you along for the ride and learning from your mistakes. :D Hope ya don't mind!
Plants look pretty darn good for no nutes ever added. :smokin:
Thanks for checking my log out guys! I think my biggest problems so far are watering and lighting... I'll post some pictures asap!
Thanks again,
