i have been talking on these message boards for awhile. after really weighing everything i have heard from people i have just made a radical change in my life. i am now a born again christian!!!!!!
i encourage/challenge anyone to bring me their questions about god, eternity, truth, etc. i pretty much have a direct line to the god of the universe now so you all might as well take advantage of it.

If Jesus is real, why does he let people become addicted to hardcore drugs like heroin and let these substances exist if he doesn't want to hurt people? And hurt the people around them. Answer that.

That was the most idiotic selfish statement I've read in awhile. If GOD is so great we wouldn't discriminate, he would look at all equal and not care what peoples thoughts were as long as they confessed correct? Isn't that the only requirement, as long as you confess your fine? You know what confessions used to be used for? If anyone confessed to murder or any other crime they would secretly kill that person when they left. Nice huh. Hey I just wanted to ask what changes in your life do you think allowed you to become enlightened? I don't believe but its not because I want to disbelieve. There are soo many contradictions and ways to spin what humans wrote in the bible that its hard for me to believe. Without the bible just life should make me believe but it doesn't. What was the point in which things fell into place for you to become faithful? I have seen bad things in my life, I know others have it harder then me but even then I just can't understand why things would play out like they have for me and others. I try to be a good person and help others, and I would say without thinking I live in some ways like people who follows the book would live but I still don't feel connected in something bigger then myself. I would like to but its hard when your spirit has been damaged. any advice? thanks in advance for your time.

God allows terrible things to happen to people, usually children or other helpless types.
So since we are made in the image of God, it's up to us to go out and do bad things to children and people less fortunate, thus making us even closer to to Gods image.
Religion is the birthplace of hypocrisy and contradiction.
