Tiny does DWC!!!

I'll try to put as much plant porn in this as I can!!!

Ok starting this thread a few days early. Just germed 3 "free" feminized seeds that came with our Medibud order, 2 popped this morning so put them each into a RR (Rapid Rooter) which soaked (more like floated lol) overnight in PH'd, 6.0, water with a drop of ST. They are on the clone tray with dome on for humidity. Very dry around here this timr of year so dome is pretty much required. Keeping temp between 78-81 and mist bottom of tray to keep humidity fog on dome. Sunday Moma will be giving up 6 clones to join the seeds and we will keep the best of the bunch for the 5 buckets. The Hygrozyme just came in today so pretty happy bout that :D

Everyone is invited to bring up a chair and we will see what kind of trouble I can get into this time lol :wtf:
Keep in mind this will be my first real full grow in DWC, I dont really count the vegging Moma. I'll try and pic you guys to death this time and see what happens :jointsmile:

Anyways grab that chair, your favorite smoking device with some of that good aged stuff on the back shelf and lets go grow some weed!! :thumbsup:

I love some good porn and will be trying the dwc here too. You will not regret the hygrozyme. In a kind of save or else thing the zyme has brought some back from the bad rot. I can't wait to see how it helps with healthy plants.

Your gonna love it. What type of buckets do you have? I found that if you aren't going to grow MEGA SUPER GIANT plants, a 3 gal. bucket opposed to a 5 gal. is a much more modest size. That way, you can grow with using only about 1 1/2-2 gallons per bucket instead of like 2 1/2-3 in each. Especially since you are going to have 5 of them puppies. Aren't those lids with the net pot in them awesome. Oh and having your momma in the 5 gal. is prolly a good idea though, lots of room.

using 5 gal buckets from Lowes, the dark gray ones dont leak light. also have a couple small tomato cages that I will be trying to use.

1st time having a mother plant to take clones from and let me tell ya ....... what a joy!!!
She gave up 6 clones and took the trimming real well.

Got 1 seedling of an unknown variety that is going real well, was a freebie when last bought seeds.
Moma and the 6 kids are all doing fine also

This is transforming into a party! That momma is a shapely woman for sure.

quick update,
the 1 seedling that popped is still doing well, have a fan on it now to try and srengthen stem some.
The 6 clones are also doing well, only 1 out of the 6 really wilted bad and staying nice and green so far :thumbsup:

ok couple pics of the baby and it's playmates. Seedling 9 days old and clones are at 6 days. out of the 6 clones 1 looks like it's a goner but no worries since only have spots for 5 plants and have total of 7 to choose from :jointsmile:

them clones look so much fresher than mine :(

I have been doing fridge stasis until now and I love my Moma plant!!! Dont get me wrong if I need to store clones in the fridge I will but fresh is alot better :thumbsup:

ok it's update time with pics. Got tent all cleaned out, replaced HPS bulb with MH bulb and took pics :thumbsup: I included shots of inside of tent showing light, exhaust fan and also ducting going to outside wall to exhaust heat from lights. Please no electrician comments as I know it looks like a rats nest but extremly tight on space. could not get full shot of tent as room size wont let me get far enough away from it to get whole tent in shot lol

Here we have the buckets being used, air pumps being used and dont forget not to let the lil ones play inside the buckets, safety first in DWC :thumbsup:

and lastly we have pics of airstones installed in bucket, tomato cage on bucket which will be added a lil later when bigger, inside of tent showing space and finally the sprout. still waiting on decent roots from clones which should be no later than wedensday but for now the baby is flying solo :jointsmile:

Lookin' good. That's a nice tent, huge, lol. Nice little seedling there. Was it germ'ed on the MH? I've always had my seedlings get burned by the MH, CFL is what I like for seeds/clones. Either way, looking awesome. Nice set-up with the airstones, sadly, I bet there will be some lose in pressure and one airstone will output more than the other. I like either the circular ones(haven't used one yet, but they look just so perfect for DWC in a bucket) or the little cylinder ones, the cheap ass kind. They just work good and are cheap. Either way, lookin' fresh.

I just hate it when toddlers find my grow room and stumble in to the buckets and almost drown. If I had a joint for every time I had to pull a baby out of my hydro buckets. I tell you what.

Man the tent and all is looking good. I like the tomatoe cage.
I have to say I'm an Electrician and you don't have enough wires to run all that you need much more. I can tell which wire is going to what plug, man you need to tie them up in a big knot and add some more just for looks. LOL

Tent is 4x4x7 and I think the 5 buckets will be the right number. No I dont germ under an MH, previous pics show the lil one just outside the dome that has the clones and they are all under CFL's. The airstones are from Walmart and run about $2 ea or so.

hey tiny whered you get the cool tops with the built in nets?

From what I have seen shopping around online, pretty much any hydro store has them. The ones I am using are 6" but have also seen 10". The Bucket Basket fits any standard 3 or 5 gallon bucket.

Lil one in tent is doing real well, 1 thing forgot to mention was running about 1/3 str on nutes with ST added and a lil epsom salts (still no Calmag here) and water level in bucket is just below bottom of basket with bubbles keeping aprox the lower 2/3 of the basket damp :thumbsup:

Clones will join on Wedensday (atleast 2 of them) as having better climate control without the fan blowing on the seedling and clone dome was running a touch to moist.

The tent looks great. Did you say that your growlab had the windows? If so could you take some pics? I think having windows is a great idea because I love to look at the plants.

I think eventually I will be doing like a recirculating drip or something but had to try DWC to see how much diff in yeild there would be. The grow room down stairs will be running the ebb & Grow system but I have read pretty much everyone that has that system has changed it over to drip type ....... thoughts?? :confused:

nothing new really to report outside of the fact that all 5 are up and bubbling now :thumbsup: just waiting for roots to make their way to the water

Hey, Tinytoon looking good man. Is that the Grow lab 120? My vents are closer to the floor right at the top of the floor insert. I am buying another grow lab this week and hope I can get one like yours with the vents Higher.

I believe it is the 120, it is like 4x4x7 or something like that.
Have roots coming out of baskets and heading for water on 3 out of the 5 so far :thumbsup:

sorry I have not been posting on a regular basis but with the Cab in flower, the tent in Veg and me right in the middle of building the new room downstairs plus working full time been keeping me a lil busy. 4 out of the 5 in tent are doing very well. The 5th isnt doing so hot. I dont think I put it deep enough into the basket like I did the others so I raised the water level in bucket and also have been hand watering it to get it to come around but still no sign of roots out of basket while the others flourish. Will post pics soon but Grow room has to be up and running by end of month and got clones to start and wiring in the load center for room today. :jointsmile:

Dont forget to post pics of the new grow room as well!
