What should i do with this plant? Too late to flower?
Hey guys today my friend gave me his plant.
Now the reason i ask what i should do with it is because my friend had left her in a room next to a window, basically thinking it was going to die. Well the plant survived a month of absolutely no water, the temp was at about 35 degrees F, and the only source of light it had was the window.
My plan was to place her in my grow box and continue veg stage until i get it in better condition, and then simply change it over to flowering stage.
My question is, is this still possible? Even with all the stress its been through do you think it will make it?
Here are some pics to help you help me:jointsmile: Notice that there are some brown spottings along the stem on some leaves, as well as some leaves folding down and turning brown.
Thanks in advance

I say if it can survive a month with no water, no substantial light, and extreme temperatures, then that shit deserves to be grown out. I would give it a once over with some pruning shears to get the brown stuff out, and go for it. why not?

This plant is truly a freak guys. It was my frist grow and due to some difficulty and confusion I gave up on her and dint check on her for a month. She started to put out leaves that only had 3 fingers on them. Now they have 5 fingers out of the new growth spots and the plant looks bad right, but this plant was in a 58 degree apt with just sunlight hitting her and no watering. Maybe it could be the moiture control miracle grow I guess?

Haha thanks for the reply faddenator, I placed it inside of my box today and it's so big that I had to move the light as high as I could.
Right now the light is 3inches away and the temps are at 76 degrees, I put a small 85cfm fan blowing directly on it and am getting another one to put as an exhaust vent.
About pruning it, I understand that I'm suppose to cut the browns spottings and the dead leaves but is there a special way? I've never cut anything on a plant before so I would like to know how can I do this without doing anymore harm to the plant.
Also the plant is about 14-18 inches tall, when I flower it will it grow taller because that might cause some issues. Also I was thinking of holding of on flowering till I get it in good condition is that a good idea???
I have 2 cfl 26w bulbs on it now. Do I need more bulbs? Because I'm having temp problems when I add more bulbs..
Thanks for all the help...

I'd cut her way back and veg her for a few weeks prior to flowering her. (you sure it's a she?) That way you can gauge her growth and let her recover from prior abuses.

I've had my doubts about it being a female, but I believe it's in the sexing stage because there are pistils on almost every node and big pistils around the top of the plant.
The only thing that worries me is that it looks like there are swollen sacks around the main stem area although they don't look like male sacks that release pollen.
I think it might be a herm but I do hope it I a female, I will take better pics of the plant as soon as I get a better camera

I am no pro, however I would suggest that using two 23 watt CFL's will not be able to bud that baby. I also know that low light will cause a plant to automatically flower, probably because the intensity or lack there of, trips that gene the the 12\12 also trips, because I've had several plants go into flowering stage just by not using enough light. (I'm one of those "Cheapest solution is the best solution" types of guys)
In my experience, 2-3 23watt CFL's will NOT BUD your plant. It will go into flowering, however be prepared for a meager harvest of mediocre dope. Heat will be a problem with the CFL's because of their internal ballasts. I don't see why two computer fans won't work. One pushing cold floor air in, and the other pumping hot ceiling air out.
That's all I can suggest, hopefully others will chirp in as well.
Oh, those sacs.... could they possibly be just the female seed sac?

Thanks for the suggetions, there are 6 26w bulbs on there right now and I transplanted her into a new home (2.5gal) with fresh MG soil mixed with 50% pearlite and the bottom has a layer of river rocks. I also trimmed off any brown spots or dead leaves.
My grow box is too small for this baby, so I am going to increase the size by adding another bin on top. I have to make a carbon filter but the how to was kind of confusing so I am going to do it another way.
The plant looks like a female to me because of it having pistils on almost every branch. The only thing that worries me is those balls along the main stem were it connects to the other stems. They don't look like the football/bannana pollen sacks that males have.
I will take more pics when I get a better camera

So I started to flower the plant lastnight I put it in it's 12/12 schedule and gave it some formula flora bloom fertilizer.
I am going to post pics tonight, the leaves that were at the top died so I cut them off, it all happened after transplanting into here new 2 1/2 gallon pot. There are some yellowing at the edge of most leaves but I gave it little fertilizer so I don't think it was because of that. Intructions say a tsp per liter I gave it a 1/4 of a tsp amd that was the result. I hope I get a big yeild because it has been in veg for so long.

when will i start to see some budding????
I know its tuff to know because of it being bagseed and nothing that anyone has grown before but its been 3 days into flowering and im starting to see pistils all around.
What should i do with this plant? Too late to flower?
...If you see pistils, then it is budding... buds are just a bunch of female flowers- which consist of a calyx and two pistils- basically growing on top of eachother. you're only three days into flowering... There is PLENTY more flowering to be done. The plant will keep producing flowers right up until harvest, so no worries.
I also wanted to say you're lucky you're seeing pistils everywhere... I've had mine on 12/12 for four days now and there's nothing but bare stem still... I'm gonna give it a few more days before i start to worry though.

Thanks for the reply faddenator... And ya I do see new leaves growing in top of eachother and some growing along the stem, I know it's way to early to see any activity I guess I'm just impatient but this is also my first time flowering...
Also Is it to late to add more lighting??? I was planning on adding 2 more 26w CDMA to make 12 in total...
And does anyone know where I can buy a 4"fan that will push through my carbon filter??

Ok so ive been feeding this plant every other day with formula flora Bloom fertilizer. Directions say give 1tsp to every liter ive been giving 1/4 of a tsp to every half a liter so basically half of the dosage.
well now im getting some yellowing along the leaves and the plant seems to not be growing as fast as it was before.
There is a small 32cfm fan blowing air in ( no exhaust right now ) and i did think maybe its because of it not getting fresh air. But a friend told me that opening my closet door atleast 1 every day is enough.
Here are some pics please help as this is my 1st time in flowering and this plant seems to be a beast.

Sounds like you might need to go full strength with the nutes. Im not sure if you transplanted that plant, but if you didn't, my guess is every last bit of nutrient in that soil was used up to keep it alive while it was next to the window. next watering, make a full strength solution and water it thoroughly. do this every other watering.
Thats all i can help with for now, hopefully people will start contributing a little more.

Thanks you so much faddenator, next watering i will add more nutes to her, because of her being transplanted into a new pot with MG i thought it might be to much.
But after looking at a few more threads im going to say that you have to be right about not having enough nutes.
and ya i hope more people do chime in because I think this plant is special for what it has been through, and again i really do appreciate you taking your time and giving help.

Hey i have a plant that started out the same way. I planted in MG and left it next to the kitchen window and just kept watering. It was small and looked so fragile. I just recently got my grow room going and its thriving in its new habitate. But I have never added nutes when i transplanted tho i put new soil on the bottom and some on top if it is missing. i got pics up under the thread called lights question in Indoor Growing. your plant is a survivor good luck mane.
