I have a Discrete Indoor Grow aka DIG going on in my bedroom right now.. it is a 600w hps with 4 23w cfls under it starting to flower a second round of 6 plants. there are 19 baby's under the HPS and another 12 in the closet.

i am gonna feed and water all of the plants on the top half.. level #1 of the DIG tomorrow and a day later for the plants on the bottom half
another 10 plants in the closet are gonna be transfered to solo cups tonight and i will post pics of that in the AM..
also i have another batch of seeds starting as of 3 AM today

Is that glass you have underneath your lamp? I have a sheet of perspex in my veg cab which works a treat..... So what kind of temps do you get with the 600w sodium? how close without burning those girls can you get by using the glass?

Aye, thats the same stuff I've used.... It's good stuff...I was curious if the heat from the 600 would melt it though..... Just for future reference if I ever decide to up my wattage!Quote:

so i got a question for ya'll.. can i use the same ferts that i have going for the soil in a foliar application or would i be better off with something different
i am using Neptune's Harvest Fish.. and in a couple weeks i will be switching to the Fish and Seaweed to kick the blooming into overdrive.. any suggestions about what i should use in the spray bottle... and at 6 PM i will upload pics for everyones viewing pleasure

well i was looking at other peoples posts and thought that i should start checking for sex..

when i first planted seeds for this grow i put the sprouted seeds into the containers they are in now. i must have made more than my fair share of mistakes and had way too many learning experiences..
-first off im not gonna plant more than one seed/clone into a soil mass.
-second i am not gonna use 2 oz dixie cups ANYMORE. the dixie cups have had mold problems, hydration problems, and lastly they had problems leaving the damn cups to move to the 20 oz solo cups i removed from my drinking stash to transplant to.
-third i am gonna have all of the materials ready before i start another major grow. right now i know of at least 3 fans i need just for air circulation. and maybe a second fan pulling air out of the room.
-fourth i am never gonna paint any part of an active grow.. i got paint splatter on one of my plants cause i was too fried to remember to move them all before i opened the paint.
-fifth this kinda goes with the not planting more than one plant per pot, but i have found that it is hard to keep track of what each individual plant is doing
so now i have all of the new seedlings in labeled containers.. now i can keep track of each one, just like a doctor.. ha ha
well now that i have gotten all of that learning experience out of the way heres the fun i have been having tonight.

i also planted another 5 seeds tonight.. in a solo cup to start with. see i might be kinda numb at times but i learn after making the mistake once..

i have made a couple little changes to my grow..
i now have a MH light in the closet that the veg is in..
i am gonna be moving a few plants back in there to let them veg for a while..
it is way bright but only pushes about 6000 lumens. is this ok??
i also discovered if you leave ferts in water they develop a nasty stink overnite..

i dont have any charged batteries for my camera to show you right now but i think that my plants are getting dehydrated in the dry air.
my temp humidity says 78-80 all day with the door open or closed and it has memory and i do check itt...
i have forced hotair and i think it is drying the air!!
what should i do or is that not what is causing my leaves to curl..
and i also have one plant with one leaf with little brownish yellow spots. i will have the camera b4 i go to sleep and i will update with pics. i will also fill out -shakes troubleshooting form if tha would help but i was hoping someone could fill me in on what was going on. i did search and all of the responses seemed to think i was over nute-ing them or overwatering...
i put 1 T. of Neptune's Harvest in a gallon of water. that gallon fed all of the plantpots 500ml of the bute mix. it had been 3 days and the pots were quite dry.. they looked like this before the watering and i was hoping that was what it was but it dosent seem to be helping...
also i have 7 girls as of now..should that be enough to pull a decent crop outta what i got? i was hopong so but i dont think they are growing the way they should be but they are just over a month past planting..
but it has now been like 16 days of flowering and they are just showing sex?? i thought that took maybe a week?

So I dont think It's that that's making your girls droop....

They look pretty much like my girls do once I have over watered them slightly!
When the air's too hot and you've got a fan blowing hard... you get a kind of wind burn.... yellow speckles that dry out and go brown.... exactly the same as when your plant leaves accidently touch a CFL!
do you know what I mean? Is it like that?
It's shit when after all your hard work you seem to just be treading water!
I'd go for the troubleshooting form! :thumbsup: I'm sure we'll all help you get the problem sorted! :thumbsup:

sealed the top of the hood to stop light leaks into the DIG
sprayed with light ferts.

i dont have any genetics to speak of. at least no one around here names their buds. we have green bud and mersh.. sometimes kids will talk up their pot with a name but not really true.. ya know??
very few young growers are starting with really good genetics and that is getting into the local economic situation.
i am running 6-7th generation of three or four varieties.. as well as some really cheap pot thati have no idea where it was originally from.. this is all from outdoor grown for the most part.

just a quick update..
letting the girls dry out after a bad case of over-watering a few days ago. after they dry out i am thinking about transplanting to one gallon pots. is that big enough?

so far the temperature has remained very good over the last few days even though i moved the girls up a ways. i was concerned but i guess for no reason.
the top of the cab and hood are now sealed much better and this helps i am sure. but i am still having a terrible time getting the humidity up above 20% consistently.
i added a few lights and have showed those in the pics i attached.

moved all of the plants to much larger container..
have some minor problems listed in the plant problems section
including green shit on the roots of one plant

i just had the girls all dryed out and i think i overwatered them. but it did remove all of the air pockets in the soil tho
they seem happy otherwise
so here is a quick question though i doubt anyone will answer..
if i played with the lighting schedule at the beginning of the flowering would that set my harvest date back or not?? i moved it from noon till midnight to 6PM till 6AM.
i am seeing everyone else has plants that look like mine after 2 weeks rather than the almost 3 i am at..

well last night at about midnight i transplanted the girls.. there are now 12 confirmed and re-confirmed females and no unknowns left.

so i was looking at all of the deficiencies that i though my plants had... well i came to the conclusion that it was all of them!!
so even though i watered the girls only last nite.. when i transplanted.. i decided to halt this problem by.. feeding them
here is what i use i stepped up the feeding from half recommended, they recommend one tablespoon per gallon of water, i decided that this was what got me here so i rectified that by going to double for this once and seeinghow they liked it, i have consistently read it is REALLY hard to burn with all organics.

i have no idea..i think that i have some really bad light leaks and i am gonna take care of them today.. 90 degree bands and more black tape! hopefully i can get this figured out

You don't really want your pH higher then 7, best at around 6.5, make sure to watch that it doesnt jump or get too high :thumbsup:
thats what i thought but i am in the ok range right.. when i feed next time i will try to bring the PH down a few points but i only have the cheap-y model. it was the only thing available.. like in the whole town!!
