President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 47 percent in the latest Gallup poll, the lowest ever recorded for any president at this point in his term.

Below are comparable ratings for other presidents since Gallup began taking presidential approval polls in 1938:

-- George W. Bush, 86 percent
-- Bill Clinton, 52 percent
-- George H.W. Bush, 71 percent
-- Ronald Reagan, 49 percent
-- Jimmy Carter, 57 percent
-- Gerald Ford, 52 percent
-- Richard Nixon, 59 percent
-- Lyndon Johnson, 74 percent
-- John Kennedy, 77 percent

I might point out, that the Gallup Poll usually leans slightly towards the Dems, historically, so bias is not likely to be at work, here ... :smokin:

Bush was riding the Post 9/11, slaughter al queda by any means necessary wave. Bush was loved and hated in every state...not just blue ones. Love him or hate him, the guy got more individual votes than any candidate in history I think.....I didnt vote for him but thats impressive. Whats a blue state anyway? Beats me. We have got to stop with this red/blue BS.....it keeps our nation stuck in shit. I refuse....absolutely refuse to believe that we ALL cant find a middle road to follow....all of us will have to give up some of our IDEALS to meet halfway for the benefit of our kids and their kids....I would readily give my life without a second thought for that. Its ridiculous the petty bickering we all get consumed with, myself included.

Obama still has plenty of time to redirect his objectives and lead from a more center appraoch and win re-election....3 years is a long time and ALOT can happen. The Democrats will be hammered in the midterms no doubt, punishment for selling out their base with Afghanistan and Iraq and Gay issues.

And of course we have to remember where the country was during the first year of Bush's presidency. Clinton had left the country in pretty good shape, there were no real huge problems like Bush left for Obama. And the reason Bush's ratings were so high then was because he was no where to be found. He was out golfing and fishing almost the entire first year. And then 9-11 happened and things went a little downhill from there.

Although, the graphic shows shrub sr. with the 86% and dub with 71. alot of Bush jr. rating was just relief from finally getting that pervert Clinton out of the White House. I would guess Bush Sr. was riding on the wave Raygun created when he challenged Germany to "tear down this wall", and they did. :smokin:

Thats where I'm at man, its like South Park, why vote for a douche-bag or a turd sandwhich, when they are both just fighting the other side. Its like the dicision was who sucks less and won't fuck us over as much. I think someone should stand up and run in a completely different party, the American Party, and see how many people get their heads out of their asses.



I think the Politics section should be retitled as 'Image Reaper and Islandborns' section, lol.



Also, I like to get all my news information from Reaper and Islandborn, lol, its like a search engine for shit I actually would have interest in, just come here, and the most interesting posts will be talked about, works for me.

whenever I see a news article of significance, whether on Fox, or CNN, etc., I always flip to the other sites, to get their opinions on it, I don't just blindly 'believe' anybody's propoganda :D ... my opinions may differ from others, but, that's generally after I attempt to research the issue ... I try to be 'Fair and Balanced' :D

Personally I think political commentary by the media is just a joke, people complaining things aren't going their way and trying to push agendas. All I need to hear is the facts and form my own opinion and don't promote either side of the pissing contest(or either side). In the end what will be left? i big puddle of piss that both sides are standing in. I will admit to taking the time to read articles from american thinker, whether I agree with them or not, intelligent conversation and writing/speaking is refreshing compared to some of these dunces pushing their Employers and their own agendas.

Thing is though the way media works, everyone is reporting on the same topics across the globe. Every forum with a Political sub forum all have identical posts. Opinions through all the news sources tend not to vary by much, kind of like how the Daily show does those short little segments of 30 people basically saying the same thing on every news network. 100 or 1,000 media sources don't make a difference to me. :thumbsup:
