what can we do to support this?
OMG YAHOO....of course, I probably am getting excited for no reason. Too many fuddy duddies in the legislature........but....
CONTACT your representative and tell them to support this bill. The state is currently looking at not being able to balance the budget....poor Gregoire. This IS the answer to many issues, financially and socially.
Find Your Legislator
The above is a locator so you can find your representatives. LETS WORK ON THIS FOLKS> ACTIVATE. Eradicate couch lock just for this. Support this bill
Ok off the soap box.
I just did the contact, and you can contact all of your reps from one contact sheet.....
(29) "Marijuana farm grower" means any person engaged in the
agriculture business, licensed with the department of agriculture, and
who grows marijuana for sale in state liquor stores on behalf of the
board.
This needs to be clarified. Are Washington State Liquor Stores going to be the sole source of marijuana that may be purchased for consumption????? :wtf:
Its taking private industry and business out of the equation. :(
It looks pretty interesting doesn't it?
Five hundred bucks to get a grow license for marijuana farming with amounts/limits to be determined later. A reasonable fee, but the amounts/limits should be determined before passage to no gray areas are left. And, it seems it doesn't effect mmj patients plant numbers or dried medicine. ;)
$500 is pretty cheap for commercial operation. I've seen some states talking $5000 for the permit.
I don't see this proposed legislation helping anyone but politicians. We medical patients do not have any real coverage, nor are we allowed to grow our own.
We should all look at the past of what the state has done for us marijuana consumers. Either for medical or recreational use.
First Rcw 69.51 the marijuana therapeutics act was the mother of RCW 69.51A. In that act the state board of pharmacy was to supply all the patients in this program. They didn't. They was suppose to help patients. They didn't. The reason/excuse was it is against federal law. They gave the money back.
Marijuana is still against federal law. Once a farm grower gets to growing the feds will come in and seize everything. Then who is going to supply the board with marijuana?
This now becomes a cluster *uck of where do I get my pot at? The same issue we have now. But, even worse then because we now have the same 1932 tax act in place , only it is state wide and federal wide.
I just wish to point these very important legal issues out so we all can view the evil that is upon us all.
And why should I ask a person not engaging in pot but, beer manufacturing at home to give up their right to home brewing when they don't smoke but drink.....
This legislation is not good for the people of Washington as a whole. It is a scam by smart politicians to not offer honest services.
I got feedback from one of the representatives and they advised me this type of bill comes through every year, and Senator Z votes against legalization always.....
I would not get my hopes very high on this, but it sure is fun to fantasize..:rasta:
After reading the 98 sections of this piece of legislation, many questions have arisen. What is the definition of a contract dealer under the law??? What kind of packaging is going to be standard if any????? Who will be charged for printing all the state stamps that marijuana packaging will require??? Changes in the marijuana laws nationwide are going to be terrible if one were to consider how they can't even pass health care without a bunch of bullshit and obstructionism??? :wtf:
But face it, the system is fucked up because they fucked it up by trying to legislate into minutia ever human behavior known to man and objected to by flaming idiots and control freaks. Time for the government to give the choices back to the individual and quit trying to be fucking nannies and babysitters over non-violent adults.
Our governments, local, state, and federal are becoming the classic abusers, both physically and mentally, that sociologist rail about. Its no wonder society has become disfunctional and divided. :rasta:
Yep I agree. The downside of commercialization of cannabis is going to be higher prices than they are now. They will be so heavily taxed that most MMJ patients will be forced to grow. Which is fine I guess as long as they leave that alone.

You are wrong on this one, HB 2401 WILL remove all legal protections for MM patients to grow their own.Quote:

Yep.
Its time to give up on the legislative process and govern by intiative instead. None of these pricks are following the will of there constituents. I will be voting like I always do, strictly libertarian. They are the only ones I ever vote for.
The people whom need voted out are 5 justices on our supreme court because it is the supreme court dba the state of washington who controls it all.;) Corporate law my friends is what's behind it all. Look at any one of many court legal documents, what is written on them from the court?
We also need to change our laws so that the legislature cannot chnage our intiatives after 2 years. In Cali they can't legally change an intiative, the people have to vote to change it.
On point brother, on point.:thumbsup:Quote:
