Hi all,
My network connection has been down for last 10 days BUT I'm back- Plently to report on the grow which will follow shortly :)
Hi all,
Well Everything seemed to be going well up until day 19 of flower, then the plants started shooting over 4 ft and ended up with some burn to the top cola of one plant and had to bend the plants toward the corners of the grow tent.
For the previous week, EC was maintained at 1.4-1.6 PH 5.5-6.2 Hum 56%-63% and temp has been good between 19-20c during dark cycle and 20-23c during light cycle.
currently EC is 1.7, PH 5.7, HUM 56% , Temp 23c.
I will be adding pics from day 19, 20 and 21 ...
the plants are 21 days into flowering today.
Any comments or advice pls go ahead.
cheers:rasta:

u burned your tops? What size light is that and how far away do you usually keep it? I am air cooling my hood as well which made me think it was nearly impossible to burn the plants since the temps are usually below 80 but I cant seem to come to a correct answer on this one. Isn't heat the enemy? Is there such a thing as being too close to the plants? Don't LED guys leave their light up next to the tops?
well its a 600w hps, its a cooled air tube , normally they are about 12" above top of plant. BUT they plants are going crazy and already nearly 4ft high so....am stuck any suggestions..?/:jointsmile:
They should stop stretching soon I would think. You could carefully tie them down if it gets to crazy.
Hey peeps,
I just thought I would give you an update of how my GHS Fem WW are doing in my wilma system. This is my first grow, and so far its has been fairly straight forward thanks to all the wisdom of you legend growers!!
I've germinated from seeds 10 fem WW GHS. and all 10 hatched ! I picked the best 4 to veg. One mistake which I won't repeat in future grows is vegging for 3 wks!! because wilma gets too crowded when they treble in size!!
I've used 600w MH during vegging and changed to 600w HPS, with a cooltube and 3 fans. The feeding cycle I've been using since day one is 24/7 drippers into clay pebbles.
The plants are 28days into flower and I have included pics. Just incase your wondering what the hights are the shortest is over 4 ft, the other 3 are 5ft and over!!...You might be wondering why I haven't bent the plants ...well I new to this and I didn't want to run the risk of damaging the main stems. Only one cola is slightly toasted but I have managed to keep the other main colas out of direct heat or light. Also couple of wks ago I lollipopped the plants and every wk since I've been removing leaves that are very yellow or stained...where no light has been getting to them.
The EC I'm running at is 1.5 that includes max strength of boost once every week. Ph keeps jumping to 6.1-6.4 in the night but I've been adjusting that to 5.5-5.7 daily. The plants still don't seem to be feeding much just drinking!!..Hum has been ranging from 52%-63% and temp has been steady 20c at night and during the light cycle 23-26c.
These are more pics of the plants at 28days into flower
Final set of pics of day 28 of flower.
Thanks for looking:jointsmile:
nice looking
how is the stretch doing??
cheers tiny, I think its slowed down a bit, three have already hit the roof of the tent, and one has 1/2ft to go, also the buds seem to be getting a bit fatter too:jointsmile:
seems mine went the exact opposite in my current grow. with temps going down I guess plants didnt really want to stretch much since it was cooler. normally doesnt go below 71f but with weather change, had to put a heater in grow room and now low is about 68f. got down to 66f for couple nights but that was as low as it went
Thats crazy to see them at the roof of the tent lol. Good lookin girls though, keep it up!
I've been fighting humidity with this grow, I thought lollipopping might bring it down a bit, but no joy...its 64% today and I've been checking plants for any mold every day but they seem to be doing ok. Also in my case where the tent is set up, the air intake is from inside the house..which can be slightly warm if the heating has been on. Other than that HUM and temp usually run at 23c and 52-58%.
I think the plants are still drinking EC has gone up since yesterday and water volume dropping...which might explain the mega stretching going on with one of the plants at the back of the tent!!
Cheers for lookin guys:rasta:
just make sure you have good air movement inside of tent and that will help fight against mold too
Hey peeps,
some closeup budshots taken today 33 days into flower. Full update in a couple of days
Just thought I'd give you an update, of my feminised white widow plants grew from seed. Sadly one plant hermied earlier on in the week and I'm now left with 3!. I did dry that plant for 4 days...and thought I'd try it! well it was slow on the uptake but a nice mellow high...
Anyway...these remaining plants have hit 6wks into flowering, and today they've had a tank change and EC adjusted to 0.7 and ph 5.7. I will be harvesting in 2 wks and this week they will have half nutes, and next week they will have just PHd water.
HUM went right down from over 60% down to 50% and temp is 23c.
Enclosed some grow pics and bud shots...
If anyone has any advice or suggestions pls feel free to comment:thumbsup::jointsmile:
more pics....
Hey peeps,
Here is an update of my ww grow at 47 days into flower. Couple of days more and they are due a tank change. I'm currently flushing before harvest with an EC of 0.8 and PH of 5.5-6.1. The ph is being adjusted daily down to 5.7. HUM has gone down to just over 50% since the hermied plant was removed and temp is fairly warm ranging from 21-24c.
In a couple of days time, the plants will only be getting PHd water (5.8) for 5 days and the last 2 days they will get nothing! I'm harvesting at 8 wks of flower because I'm getting impatient...to taste the fruits of my labour. I know some people say go to 9wks to enhance the trichs, but I'm not:jointsmile:
Enjoy the pics:thumbsup:
more pics....
you just might be outa room :wtf:
thanks for looking tiny, I've been struggling for past 3 wks, and I am running out of room mate! stretching has stopped but everyday seems to count in the wilma because they just seem to get fatter. plenty of lessons learned for next grow:stoned::jointsmile:
aye WW is one of the fastest growers that I know of. Tried WW once and ended up with both males but the short time I had them they grew like uh ............. a frigging weed lol
hey peeps!
My plants have been in flower for 7wks now, and today they've gone on phd water for the final stretch. I choped a small bud to check the trichs with a 30x magnification.
I could see some clear ones, some cloudly ones and some amber/brown both head and tail.
here's some pics of the small bud being quick dried to sample.
any pointers gratefully appreciated :)
so far looking good
only thing I could say is either get a taller tent or flower sooner hehe
I don't know if they do them any taller lol, but flowering earlier is defo the way forward for next grow!
Hi peeps,
This is the final update on the white widow grow in a wilma hydro system. The plants have been on phd water for 5 days and none for the last two. They've already been chopped and weighed in 1lb 1oz, 1lb 2oz, & 1lb 1oz. Plant 4 hermied.
They've been hanging for a day now. with HUM ranging from 41-46% and temp 71F.
Thanks again for all the help from all the pros on this forum, and now planning next grow!!
Peace:jointsmile::thumbsup:
more pics to follow...

Hey peeps..
This is the final update in the white widow wilma grow.
As you can see from the pic, all the bud is curing in jars now, and they get 20min of air everyday.
The final weight came in at for all 3 plants: 312grams just over 11 oz
I read some where to expect 25% of the wet weight, But I think is a lot less.
BUT anyway peeps wet weight isn't important to me, its just nice to not have to buy crap sold on the streets, and one can have access to clean, fresh, cured bud all the time.
Thanks peeps for all your contributions and support in my first grow.:jointsmile:
when seed shopping and they list how much yeild should be and such are they listing dry or wet weight??
and how about a pic of the system now that we can see it :)
I read somewhere dj, they mean the DRY weight per meter squared, so you can imagine a meter squared of sog/scrog.
On the seed pack of the white widow, it says 400-600 gram/m2. Now the wilma 4 pot system is not even 1m2 because the tent its in is 1m by 1m by
2m, so with 4 plants in hydro maybe 100 grams per plant is the average.
The following pics of the system when the seeds were germinating.:jointsmile:
Those buds look good to me but than again I am a new grower.
Awsome for your first time. Enjoy your meds and don't mess up like I did. Too medicated and my grow room suffered. LOL. Trying to get some widow clones after seeing yours and trying a bit.
When they list 400 to 600grams per meter squared, they mean dry weight and they also mean outside under perfect weather conditions. It kind of gives you an idea but you did much better. For indoors .5 grams per watt. Any thing more and your doing excellent.
cheers for looking peeps,
For a first grow, and with only 3 plants, I'm happy with 312g:hippy:
That will keep me going for a gd 4/5 months:)
The smoke is very smooth, gives you a gd couple of hours couch lock, and then turns to euphoric high:smokin:
Gratz to you Rad and very well done from what I can see. Ty for posting your log and answering the questions that we had. Keep in mind it can always get better too  I know I'm still looking for my perfect grow and I gots a long way to go hehe
Thanks tiny, its been a pleasure learning from yourself and other professional growers on this site.
Q:
I've used Greenhouse seeds for this grow, but I'm not impressed with their genetics would anyone recomend any seedbank company who's genetics are reliable?
Q:
Any recomendations which strain to grow next?:)
cheers
