Blue Dream and Space Queen (aka Green Crack) GROW LOG!

Hey Guys,

Yep...I am back to the clone stage...a new grow is here. I am sure this one will be enjoyable. So here we go. :jointsmile:

I picked up some nice Blue Dream clones...12 of them. I then picked up 12 Space Queen clones (aka Green Crack). I had a little watering mishap when I brought them home. Plants are fine now...no biggie.

Strain info:

Blue Dream - (Blueberry x Haze)
Flower time is 10 weeks (can go up to 12). It is a very high THC content plant and has been rated as some of the best medicine available by numerous independent review sites. The length of time for flower is undesirable...but the yield makes up for it. It should yield about 5-6 ounces per plant...according to High Times. A very nice Santa Cruz seeds blend...and I personally was floored for two days while medicating myself with a sample a buddy gave me.

SPACE QUEEN (AKA Green Crack) - (skunk #1 x Cali Indica)
Super fast bud time at 7 weeks. If growing in a room that gets to low 60's at night...you can expect some purple also! Very nice strain...great strain to cross with! Smokes very good with a high THC content! The Green Crack name comes from LA...was changed when it hit clubs to Space Queen. I have had this also...and I am a big fan.

Here are the girls after week one of flower. Note the pictures below.

In this grow I am fixing my variables to obtain larger yields. 6 plants per tray, drip system, 3 part GH, and adding kool bloom...I vegged from clones for four weeks.

I am over 3 ft tall on the blue dream. almost at 24 inches for the Green crack. They are starting to stretch more...they always do this right before they flower. I love this GC strain.

I'll throw in a couple pics of my babies that I just turned to flower today. Yes those are tomatoe cages I put in my tray. Last grow between weight of top of plant and fan inside tent they fell over, nothing broke they just fell over. Trying to give a lil support this time and see what happens.

I do have a question for you though...Are you using plant yo-yo's to hold up your main cola's? If not, what are you using?

Btw...my Blue dream is at 4 ft...I am stressing now. All I want them to do now is bud... and for them to quit growing. LMAO! :jointsmile: If they grow a bit bigger, I am sure to find a way to make it work...I am just hoping I do not have to get to that point.

So I added a few flower nutes on this grow. I am still a GH 3 part fan. I felt I could add to the overall density, trich development, and flavor of my girls.

So to meet this need I added Koolbloom, Florablend, and Floralicious Plus...as recommended by my GH iphone application. What is the world coming to when your cell phone has all your grow nut schedule built in! LMAO! :wtf:

Also, I have posted some pics of my girls in week #4 of bud...these girls will ensure I have a green christmas!

Great looking strain! Question though... Do they put out alot of odor?

Loc --- what side of the US are you on? If you are near me...I can get you some cuttings (I have a great pheno for the GC). And, let me tell you...it floors me every time I smoke it. I literally have to smoke Friday night...so I can recover by Sunday.

Get this ---- More powder than my nose 10 years ago? More powder than a Columbian in Miami on "vacation." YES SIR...GC strain is the shit. I will be growing this more in the future. Now when it comes to odor (I run a huge carbon filter)...even with that...it still smells dank in my place when the buds are beefing up.

But, the great thing is that you can not smell them outside...But, when you walk into my special rooms (it is there).

I am using Flora Blend, Floralicious Plus, Koolbloom, 3 part GH, and CAL-MAG.
Seems like a pretty sweet mix...I am not seeing any nute or tip burn (and I am being very aggressive with my nutes).

Not much to say. Plants look great...I am baked right now...yeah me!
I did start aggressive bloom nutes...and I am starting week #4 today! 4 more to go until my Green Crack is done...and 6 more until my blue dream is finished.

The aroma is going to be a killer for me. Much danker than the last grow. Eliminating the variables was a great decision for me!

I recently subscribed again...i was a subscriber in college. Forgot how much fun the magazine was.

I am loving these strains...and I can't wait to see how they look when they are done...of course by then, I will have my next grow ready to go into flower. LMAO!

actually...I dont make bubble hash. I grind up the sweet leaf and unusable buds. Set it aside. Then I take my leaf and trim and grind that. And I hook up a local bakery that is set up for compassionate consumption. It works best for me.

Update:

I am happy so far with this grow. Seems like they are doing well, and with the cooler temps this time of year I am able to get the plants to grow much better. And the yield looks fantastic as compared to my earlier grows.

I have dialed in the Green Crack strain. I am going to continue to grow this as much as possible. The yield is great, and so is the quality from the buds (as you can see from the pictures). With this grow I am going to continue with my drying and curing process also...so people can see what I am doing...and how I am getting such great results.

Hope you all are having a good Holiday Season so far...I can't wait for this NEW YEAR. Not just because of my Grow...but, because I get to smoke the fruits of my labor!

Week 6 update:

Well I am in Week six with this grow...2 weeks left for the GC and 4 weeks for the blue dream. They are looking very hearty and I cant wait for these girls to be done! The smell is very powerful in this grow. More of the Blue Dream than anything else. This GC strain smells like fruity pebbles.

We tried gravity and it can be tricky to use. It will also break your heart real quick. The last round with open seasame, beasty bloomz and cha-ching have made the world of dif in the density of the buds. We run them just a little shy of what the product says but with healthy plants full strength would be awsome. Kind of battleing some pytium at the moment and overall yeilds have suffered. Seems a bio-film of pythium builds up on all parts and the pyth is very hard to get rid of. Time to toss the tubs and by new ones.

I use GH 3 part, Koolbloom, Flora Blend, Floralicious plus, and Cal Mag. I know that I am getting 3-4 zips per plant dried...but, one can always strive for more (or is that just being greedy:D...lmao).

I am afraid to try other products from outside the GH line because I do not want to be over-nuting the girls with essentially the same chemical makeup. I am sure you guys understand the my dilemma, since making these changes would screw dialing in my system.

Perhaps as stated before in a previous post...that at 2 weeks of flower I need to up my feedings to 5 per day. Decisions...Decisions.

The smell is intense from these girls too! I wish there was smell-a-vision for me to share the stinky love with you all! :thumbsup:

Any more thoughts with my nutes would be appreciated. As I am curious about B'cuzz and a few others. Just dont know if it would be redundant.

One week to go...Cut a couple of my tops which were done. Spreads out the trimming work. Looking good so far. Weighed the two tops at 4 ounces each wet. Should be a great harvest! :D:D:D:D:D
