I'm such a desensitized jackass... According to Catholic values, I'm damn glad he's dead. He's where we all should want to be.

The Pope was awesome. I remember when we used to blaze together back in the day. Man could he put some shit awawy. And then there was this one time when he got naked on top of the Vatican and he had this flower pot on top of his head. Man..those were the days.
RIP Johnny. *Tips 40oz* Thats one for the homie. Peace.
lol, but yeah in europe anyway theres not much point to having a pope, as our churches lie empty, people think its like the english royal family in the sense of 'whats the use?'
The pope =/
I must say I don't really care. Thousands of people die every day, and if I took the time to feel sad for every one of them I would lead a depressing life indeed. I never met him and he never did anything significant to improve my life; in fact as leader of the Catholics he has helped to promote a system of beliefs that states that my beliefs (that a world with so much evil could not possibly be directed by an omnipotent benevolent being of any sort) are incorrect, immoral and that I will burn for eternity for them. So to me he's just another person, no more deserving of my tears than anybody else I've never met that dies. In fact, he deserves so little of my consideration that I'm going to stop considering his death right now.
so is he dead? or no?
if he is, it is a sad day because im catholic....the thing i hate most is people who bash catholics due to ignorance....
and to ermitonto's post:
he was a human being, whether he helped you, or was unassociated with you dosent mean you cant be a compassionate human being, he found faith and comfort in it, whether he is right or wrong in his faith are arrelivent, he was an old peaceful man and to be so disrespectful to anyone who has died by not even concitering them is disgusting
have a ncie day
i thought it was prety sad to keep him in the public eye for so long u coudl see he was not fit to do nethig it was nearly a joke u know , he was tryin to hard , js let him u know sleep (un pope him ) neone else in any other position to do with anything woudla been replaced, he keep goin ot the end was a bit of a mistake he was trying to hard i dunno .
well unless there are unforgiveable "sins" committed by the pope, and the vatican votes to remove him, he is pope for life
HEY HES NOT DEAD YET
Oh I get it April Fool...
But seriously he's not dead yet...
Like I said, there are thousands of people who die every day that I don't consider. I don't mean them any disrespect, it's just that I don't have the time to consider every "old peaceful man" on the other side of the planet that dies. If he really touched you and you feel he contributed to your life, by all means feel sad that he's not going to be around any more, but I hardly know anything about him so to be honest I'm not that bummed and would like to continue with my happy day over here in this hemisphere. Hey, I can't control my emotions.Quote:

Good person to know.....
he was against protections and thousands died of aids... he can rot in fucking hell for all i care
key word is 'I', feel free to have ur opinions just cos mine is extreme doesn't mean i am closed minded
I can understand you feeling that way...about contraception and alot of other issues..
I dunno I try to find the good in all but realize there are and have been those who have perhaps no good at all...
aye....yet another very common anti-catholic comment....the catholic religion is against protection has nothing to do with forming to the new ages, or power, or anything of the sort, but catholics are pro-life, and sperm are alive, sure they are indeed just organisms but theya re alive and have the potential of becoming a human being with gods grace, its own soul, and more, after all what is the REAL reason sex even exists?Quote:

and sex is better without a condom anyways
and P.S. the no birth controll is virtually a dead practice such as the no pork for JEWS....only extreme catholics follow those rules, which is probally around a thousand people in the USA all togeather
hey dude....i dont understand this...i was going to ask who will be the next pope then read this.....so is there not going to be another pope untill the people vote another one in? or just not going to be another pope......Quote:

hahahaha i really stoned and just looked at how much shit i had written...lots of shit.....sorry :)
if he is dead or when he dies..we enter another era, which I dont think is going to be the best time for mankind.....god help us all
haha dude thats accually quite the accurate description of the foreshadowing/beginning of the apocolypse from the book of revelations...but the vatican usually spends weeks upon weeks locked in a room with certin canadites and vote on it...when a new pope is chosen, the vatican gives a sign to the public and everyone cheers
u dont vote in a pope do u?! i figured he was like selcted by god
did the pope die yet or will he outlast april fools day?
Like everything else in the Roman Catholic Church there are a series of rituals to go through first.Quote:

He must then authorize a death certificate and make the event public by notifying the Cardinal Vicar for the Diocese of Rome (currently Camillo Cardinal Ruini). The Camerlengo then seals the Pope's private apartments. He would also arrange for the "ring of the fisherman" and the papal seal to be broken. He then makes preparations for the Papal funeral rites, the novemdieles, the nine days of mourning.
During the interregnum, it is the Camerlengo who is responsible for the government of the Church. He must arrange the funeral and burial of the Pope. He directs the election of a new pope, assisted by three Cardinals, elected by the College of Cardinals, with three new Cardinals elected every three days.
All heads of the dicasteries of the Roman Curia are suspended from exercising their authority during the interregnum (and are expected to resign their posts immediately on the election of the new Pope). The only exceptions to this are the Cardinal Camerlengo, the Cardinal Vicar of Rome, the Major Penitentiary (William Cardinal Baum), the Cardinal Archpriest of St Peter's Basilica and the Vicar-General for Vatican City (both offices are held by Virgilio Cardinal Noe). These continue in their posts during the interregnum.
After 15-20 days of "General Congregations", sermons at their Titular Churches and mourning for the Pope after his funeral, the Cardinal Electors enter the Conclave to choose which of them will emerge as Holy Roman Pontiff.
The Cardinals must take an oath when they first enter the Conclave that they will follow the rules set down by the Pope and that they will maintain absolute secrecy about the voting and deliberations. The penalty for disclosing anything about the conclave that must be kept secret is automatic excommunication.
The Cardinals all take seats around the wall of the Sistine Chapel and take a ballot paper on which is written "Eligo in suumum pontificem" -- "I elect as supreme Pontiff...". They then write a name on it, fold it, and then proceed one by one to approach the altar, where a chalice stands with a paten on it. They hold up their ballot high to show that they have voted, then place it on the paten, and then slides it into the chalice. The votes are then counted by the Cardinal Camerlengo and his three assistants. Each assistant reads the name, reads the name aloud, writes it down on a tally sheet and then passes it to the next assistant. The third assistance runs a needle and thread through the centre of each ballot to join them all together. The ballots are then burned, as well as all notes made. If a new Pope has been elected, the papers are burned with to give white smoke. Otherwise, they give off black smoke, so that the waiting crowds, and the world, know whether their new Holy Father will soon emerge from the Sistine Chapel.

2nd Q. who is the man down from the pope?
I'm not Catholic or anything, but if you went with this "no protection" thing, weren't you also going with the "no sex til marriage" thing? Therefore you'd only be fucking your wife, so no AIDS.Quote:

I think the psychic guy you were talking about is nostradamus, he predicted the coming of Napolean, Hitler and the nuclear bomb. Whether he's right about the apocalypse is still unknown as he predicted it around 2012 (not sure on date)Quote:

Oh give it up you guys, he's just an old Italian guy. He's not Holy or anything, no person on Earth alive right now is anywhere near holy, just trying to pretend to be. No person here right now is blessed, trying to be fricken one of the Wise Men or something...
p.s i'm high right now
oh and I don't believe in this whole "the world's goona end" bullshit. It was supposed to end in like 92', then in 96', 98', 00', we were all supposed to die last year too and I haven't seen it so far. We're all also supposed to die in like 2008 too
Jeez...wise up we're not going nowhere until like 10,000 years from now. Nowhere near our lifetime..
Pope's not dead, April Fools!
