Hey, do you have aim or msn? There's a question I have for you.
I have aim and msn. I use msn the most though. Msn= [email protected], AIM=Eastsidetwiztid
Hi Etrain,
No, I'm not on either, but if it's free, I would be happy to hook up with it if you want to talk.
I've wondered how pm's could be done here; the other forums I'm on make it possible to do so. Anyway, there must be some way we can connect; you're advice would be appreciated.

Just do a google search for "AIM" and it'll be easy from there. My aim is EtrainEman. Send me a message, I want to ask you a question.
Man, this is going to sound absurd, but last night I came to the stoned conclusion that you were "Allan Sherman." If this is the case, you're god damned the man. I doubt many people on this site would know who you are, but "Rape of the Ape" is my bible.
No, I'm not. But now I've got a new book to search out and read.

4252.... ah i see now haha i was baked and thought you wanted to ask me a question :(
Dude, there's no way. What book is that paragraph you typed the other day from? I could almost swear to god it was Rape of The Ape. The one you were you typed in the Hippie thread. Dude, I think you're Allan Sherman...or a fan of his work. It's WORD FOR WORD MAN. Heh.
Etrain,
I'm going to try to get in touch through AIM (if I can figure out what it is), looking forward to talking with you.
At first I thought you meant that Jewish comedian from the 60's. I'm interested in reading Sherman, now that you've mentioned his name; intend to pick up a copy of the book this weekend if I can. You've got me a little worried though, you know, anybody who writes a little (I've always meant to try my hand) would have a fear of unintentional plagerism (did I spell that right?). All the things I've written here were spontaneous and from the heart, except for an occasional look at a dictionary to check my spelling. If I wrote something that sounded like somebody else, it's both spooky and irritating. I write a little music too, and have the same dread of putting a tune out there and finding that someone wrote something way too similar at an earlier date. Obviously I have to check out the Rape of the Ape book. If I'm not a fan yet, maybe I will be soon; I've never read anything by him. I hope to God you just made an honest mistake.
Anyway, to give you a straight answer to a direct question, I'm not Allan Sherman. Actually I'm (not) Douglas Adams (APRIL FOOL!)

There you go.
Etrain,
If you're still reading this, I picked up The Rape of the Ape today; the used bookstore in my neighborhood got it for me. I've read a few chapters, and you're right, I like Shermans' style of writing and I probably do sound a bit like him. Not too close though, I hope. Turns out he is that 60's comedian I mentioned. I'm enjoying it so far, especially after the trauma of reading American Psycho earlier this week. Thanks.
