The â??Global Central Bankâ?? Pipe Dream

Last week, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) issued a report calling for sweeping changes in the international financial and monetary order.

Arguing for a reduced role for the dollar, the report advocated for a global reserve bank with the power to issue its own currency, to monitor its membersâ?? national exchange rates, and to prop up or push down their currencies. In other words, UNCTAD is making the case for a global central bank.

The U.N. is not alone in calling for such a move. Since the eruption of the global financial crisis last fall and the accompanying loss of confidence in the U.S. economy, Russia and China have each called for the creation of a global currency in order to facilitate a transition away from the dollar as the worldâ??s primary reserve currency.

Setting aside the economics of the debate, what is the political feasibility of these proposals? History may help to answer this question.

The idea of creating a global central bank that can print its own currency is not new. In fact, the idea has come in and out of vogue several times since World War II.

â??Here it is,â?� Medvedev told reporters today in Lâ??Aquila, Italy, after a summit of the Group of Eight nations. â??You can see it and touch it.â?�

The coin, which bears the words â??unity in diversity,â?� was minted in Belgium and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations, Medvedev said.

The question of a supranational currency â??concerns everyone now, even the mints,â?� Medvedev said. The test coin â??means theyâ??re getting ready. I think itâ??s a good sign that we understand how interdependent we are.â?�

Medvedev has repeatedly called for creating a mix of regional reserve currencies as part of the drive to address the global financial crisis, while questioning the U.S. dollarâ??s future as a global reserve currency. Russiaâ??s proposals for the G-20 meeting in London in April included the creation of a supranational currency.

They've already got a world currency called the SDR. It's used for international mail and international travel. There's no coin or paper for it, since it is, as the name indicates, Special Drawing Rights.

The false virtue of diversity just kills me. It's one of our company values at work, and it just turns my stomach that something like diversity can be listed alongside honesty, integrity, honor, etc. Just because you have a diverse group of people doesn't mean that it's a good thing. You can have a very diverse population of rapists & murderers. I'm sure prison populations are very diverse. The idea that diversity helps provide a variety of worldviews is misleading. Having a multitude of views doesn't mean any of those hold any water. You could have a bunch of NAMBLA members get together and give a multitude of views on how to prey on little boys, and it just goes to show that diversity doesn't stand on its own as a virtue. I can't think of any other so-called value or virtue that you could turn on its head like this.

Diversity is the manifestation of political correctness, or as I like to call it "truth that must not be said." I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the concept that all ideas have equal merit is just silly.

Sorry to digress... Diversity just gets me going, and it's fitting that they'd put it on a world currency.

global economic control. the powers that be will tell you it is nothing new, that multi-national corporations have been doing it for decades and that politicians are merely trying to take it out of the hands of unscrupulous business men and placing it under the control of the representatives of the people. i can't help but wonder how the people can be represented on a global scale. i see our own bureaucracy, so far beyond the control of the people it is supposed to represent, and find it inconceivable how the people might influence an authority that would claim dominion over the entire planet.

the people, what an ethereal term. the common man, the proletariat, the masses, the working stiffs. i'm not sure our leaders even understand the meaning of the word and i'm sure they couldn't care less about what the people want. we are merely numbers to be counted and sheep to be shorn, the source of their power that are useless once they are sufficiently cowed and stripped of their self-determination. the people cannot possibly be left in charge of their own fates. they must be herded like cattle, milked of their labor and kept satisfied with bread and circuses. isn't it the duty of governments to use their armed might to keep the mob under control?

a global economy, global justice, global government. an entire planet under the thumb of the few, with armies to quell rebellion and the media under their control to soothe the people with lies and the occasional scapegoat for their amusement. this is the ultimate form of those eternal dreams of empire, a mainstay of tyrants since the dawn of time. this ain't nothing new.

Look listen people, we all here obviosuly are onto the whole global government/New World Order sceme. I propose instead of just writing out lengthy posts explaining everything to each other like nobody else understands it that we stand working twards a common goal instead of just stateing whats already happening. Because isnt that just wasteing time? I say we make a thread where we post our plans and ideas of things to do to protest, to get involved, to join patriot groups, discuss plans and preperations for hard times, Discuss things that might happen and how to overcome them. When I was commanding soldiers in Iraq, I learned rather quickly that the same man that smiles at you during the day and gives you free bread is the same one that's mortaring you at night. We had an interpreter that we trusted very much, and he was doing this exact thing. And we had good, loyal interpreters that were also killed while on vacation, on the other side of that coin. The key to resistance is to blend in as much as possible and move through the underground to make deep currents that are more difficult to track and observe. If you stand out at some demonstration with the Gadsden flag, carrying an AK slung on your back, you're probably going to be put on some secret federal list and when things get ugly, your house will be first stop for the police lock-down. If you do want to go public, don't ever give out your real name and watch for out of uniform police taking pictures of you.

One Iraqi said something rather prophetic to me once. He stated that "behind me stands a thousand." He was making the point that if he was not treated well and with respect, he would go back to his clan and tribe and then scores of relatives, friends, and family would be incited against our efforts. Our best course of action is to wake up as many people as possible and then be ready to make our move. We need to become the new Minutemen.

No fire has brought down a skyscraper in history, And it takes months of planning and rigging to demo a building. You're right that this all goes back to 9-11. That's the keystone to the whole globalist agenda. Everything you stated in your earlier post on 9-11 is absolutely correct & confirmed. Go check out Charlie Sheen's appeal to the President in his fictional interview he wrote: "Twenty Minutes with the President." He lays the case out clearly. If you can convince someone on the merits of the evidence that those buildings didn't go down b/c of terrorists flying airplanes into them, you have the opportunity to start a new dialogue with them about the world as it really is. That's how you open their eyes. They have to go down that terrible road of realizing that our government staged a false-flag terror event in order to rob us of our freedoms and prepare for the police state. That they care so little about our lives, that'll they'll kill thousands just to make a point and scare us into submission.

Check out A&E for 9-11 truth. They have some very good videos by architectural and engineering professionals that explain very accurately how the official story doesn't hold water. Pilots for 9-11 truth has a great documentary about the Pentagon "attack." They lay out in great detail how it was all staged in a very systematic, orderly fashion. It made me even more pissed watching that, because they killed a bunch of Army officers just to get the Armed Forces pissed off enough to go to war.

I was an engineering student at West Point when the towers came down. I just gotten done with a civil engineering class and went to law class to watch the second first tower come tumbling down. I marvelled at the time how a huge skyscraper could collapse straight down through the path of greatest resistance and have such a small footprint. Buildings just don't do that when they fail. They fail asymmetrically! They fall over like a tree does- not straight down!

Building 7 is particularly damning as headshake indicates. The property owner, Silverstein, admits that they "pulled" the building on the very same day that the towers fell. "Pull" is slang for a controlled detonation. That means it was already wired with explosives. You can't just pull off a controlled det in such short notice. It takes a great deal of prep. Plus if you watch the video, the building crimps in the middle, so that it will properly implode. Definitely a controlled det. Look at other videos of buildings being imploded. A wide building will always crimp before it implodes, so that it collapses INWARD! If the Twin Towers were going to fall, it would be more likely that would fail on one side through steel fatigue, and the top would twist off, or the collapse would start at the greatest point of loading- at the foundation. Not in the middle stories of the building. It's totally bass-ackwards!
