Fuck this crap.

Millions of children die of starvation everyday. Millions die alone, forgotten, in intense pain and suffering. Some of these people are dieing in the very cities you live in.

But wait, oh no! There's this one girl who had an accident 15 years ago, now she's a vegetable, let's make it front page news! Let's forget about the war for a second.... What the hell is this place called Iraq? Osama who? Bush did what? None of that's important, because for the the love of God Terri's dieing! Oh no! Quick, let's arrange a congressional hearing, because one person is dieing!


Man, you guys are stupid. If only you devoted all this energy to things that really mattered... Education, healthcare (not for one person, but the entire country, and for other countries in need).

Terri's case is an awful one, and it seems to polarize the general public pretty effectively. I don't think its any more awful than those children dying, and the media are making a circus out of it. Disgusting really, they don't care, they just want a story.

Whether or not I side with Terri however, those fucks who walk around with the signs are just idiots who overcomplicate the matter.

I'm just really getting sick and tired of hearing about this chick every single day, when so much other shit is happening all the time. We only hear about what the media tells us, and they tell us about .5% of what really matters, and they're lying about 75% of the time... That makes .125% of the news trustworthy.

i can think of a few dozen stories that should be top story front page news that get on the major wires, but are filtered out by the time it gets on FOX or CNN or your local news or newspaper.

i trust pbs to cnn or fox news any day of the week.

I say get a living will, then we won't have this issue. I support whatever Terri wanted before she went through her accident. From what I see it is death, so I support it. If there is a more convincing thing that says she wanted life do that. but to late

I agree, who the hell cares if a brain-dead lady dies? In darhfor (spelled wrong im sure), thousands are dying. The tsunami victims are still suffering. There are so many civil wars you havn't even heard about all of them. It just shows the stupidity of most people (not just Americans), and hopw the media is just out to make a buck.

However, it IS pretty stupid that they starve her to death. Why not use a nitrogen-asphyxiation chamber (completely painless way to die. Only Indiana uses it in 1 prison for the death penalty). Imagina going into a room where you FEEL like you can breathe just fine, but begin to feel drowsy... and fall asleep.... FOREVER.

National Public Radio and BBC are the best. Fox is fucking stupid. CNN is alright. PBS is still americanized as shit. NPR and BBC are straight up the best sources for news that hasn't been fucked up by the American media. I hate the American media!!!
