we were driving on Corona Island one time and accidently drove up to military base. I was really stoned and was sweating for minute when I see this soldier coming up to with his rifle. He says "Step out of the vehicle, Sir!" I turned around and looked and he just laughed and said, "I'm just kidding, man." :D i love southern cal.
camp pendleton is huge. 22 sq miles i believe. one of if not the largest base in the US.Quote:

as we were coming back we were sitting out by the curb in tj waiting for a van to take us back across the border when this little girl comes up and asks me for money. i had already given most of my cash to the little kids in rosarito (yeah, i'm a sucker) so i didn't have anything but an apple and orange left in my back pack. i offered them to her and she kinda looks at the apple for a second or two and then she gets a big smile on her face and grabs the apple and skips happily off. for some reason i have never forget that. that is one of my fondest memories of Baja.
that and doing shots at Husongs.
Thanks for the welcomes, I am also a san diego transplant. I am originally from NY/CT. Joined the navy, spent 2 years in VA and 2 years here in SD. I got out and got a job here cause it was easier and the industry in much better to get into over here.
i used to live in CT too. lol. West Haven, what?!
