Help, found plant on my property!

Ok, before I go babbling on about my problem, I would like to let you know that I am new here, i joined this site mainly to post the question that you will see soon. To let you know about myself, i am in my teens (profile says im not) and i am drug free (i don't smoke whatever you guys do). I posted because i am worried about a plant, well... here it goes...

About a month ago i was weeding and I came across a plant, I checked online and it didn't look exactly like a marijuana plant but resembled it. Up untill recently i completely forgot about it. But I wanted to know what it was and weither I should get rid of it or not. I posted some pictures.. these pictures however, are not mine. My crappy camera failed on me so I found some pictures of what looks exactly like what I have. Up until now i have been extremely worried because I have two patches of them, one with 3 plants that stand upright/vertical, and another that's just like a bush. Yesterday I dug them up and replanted the two kinds in separate locations. One of the 3 vertically growing plants broke as i pulled it up. To see if it had any thc content i held the bottom side up and pressed upward on the broken edged and while doing so, shoved it up my nose and took a big whiff. Afterward my eyes got a little fuzzy, but i went back to normal within 8 seconds. So is this marijuana? How did it get here? What do i do with it?

I read on the internet that it could of gotten there a few ways... It could be ditch weed (but my plant had thc in it), wild marijuana (does it grow in northeaster USA?) , or it could of been purposely or accidentally planted (my father has been caught but not arrested with this, same as my brother... perhaps it was bought from a cheap source and contained seeds?) Either way I do not know what to do with it and am worried (if it is weed, but if not, what would explain the thc content?)

So please feel free to post comments on my problem and please post a solution

First off, you cannot test for THC content by sniffing a broken plant. And, even if there was/is any THC present in the plant you sniffed, you would not have that reaction to it.

Second, if you were so concerned that it may be MJ, why didn't you kill it? You say you don't care to partake, why did you make the time and effort to replant it somewhere else? This sounds like someone is either fooling themselves or trying to fool others.

Advice is kill the plants, you don't want them anyway, right?

You know, many, many plants are poisonous to humans. You might want to be more careful until you know which ones.

Yeah that is definitely NOT weed. There is a name for it (Flase Aralia I think) but it looks similar to MJ. There was a thread on this site months back with someone who had the same thing growing. If I come across it, I will link it.

Well it's not False Aralia. And I have no clue what thc is or how to test it i just read that it is in MJ and that it is what gives people their experiences. So what plant is it??? I don't do mj but if it is I am sure I could put it to some good use :D . So can anyone tell me what it is? And I'm not sure how I could be "fooling someone" by asking for help cause I find this extremely important.

The only reason why i replanted it was just in case it actually was mj, and if my bro gets a hold of it... well that isn't good. So if anyone has any ideas please share :thumbsup:

If you don't do it, then you don't have any need for it. If you're thinking about selling it then you are a fool. Your knowledge on marijuana is clearly minuscule, which means that if you were to sell it, you wouldn't know what you were selling and, because you don't "do" marijuana, I assume none of your friends do either. So, to answer your question, it is probably a plant you don't want. Chop it.

What would happen if your brother got a hold of it? If he's younger than you he probably doesn't know what it is, and if he's older than you and knows about pot then he'll be able to deal with it, if he doesn't know about pot, then he'll ignore it.


Also, at this point in time you would probably be seeing some signs of flowering if the plant is outdoors.

Because it was in our front lawn (where everyone can see :wtf:) it got mowed down alot and since the pics i posted aren't of my plant cause it is in really bad condition. So how to i help rescue my plant? My mom has some plant food, do i give it that? And what else do i do? thanks!

NoKillMe, there is no way you are 18 and I would be shocked if you were over 15. How old are you really? What do you know about drugs? Just what they tell you in school, that drugs are evil and you will go crazy or have a psychotic break and kill someone?

First of all, there's drugs and then there's marijuana. The actice ingredient is THC but THC can't just be eaten. The marijuana can be smoked in a pipe or bowl (1000's of styles, glass is preferred by most), as a cigarette or cigar(blunt) or vaporized, a process that heats the marijuana to a certain temperature without burning it, thus vaporizing the THC and very litte plant material into a chamber or bag then inhaled. Marijuana can be eaten but not raw. It has to be heated with edible fats or extracted with alcohol. There's hash too.

The most desired part of the marijuana plant are the buds, the reproductive part of the female plant. Leaves contain little if any THC.

Like people said, you didn't get anything from sniffing a plant's liquid. Even if it was marijuana, you would have gotten nothing.

There's different strains and different levels of quality. Average dose would be about 1/2 to 1 gram of medium quality weed. You can't overdose from weed. The effects of the marijuana depend on the strain and quality. It's hard to describe what a high feels like. The effects when you first start last for anywhere between 1-4 hours, and I would say closer to 2-3 hours because of a lack of tolerance.

There are many reasons why marijuana is illegal but none of them are valid. From pressure from lobby groups to Harry Anslinger, they're all wrong.

When you say you try to ignore it, have you ever had the chance to use marijuana for real? Are you exaggerating? I think so. At this point I wouldn't recommend you try it because you will get arrested with your lack of knowledge. I'm also disturbed that you are willing to stick strange plants up your nose. Sounds like you have been influenced by mainstream tv too.

Other little notes: Shoving a chopstick in your nose will make your eyes go fuzzy for a few seconds but that doesn't make it a drug. So will a right cross to the nose or eyes.

What do you know about buds? Since marijuana plants need 12 hours or less of sunlight to go into reproductive cycles, you can't even remotely think those were buds on your fake plant.

What's with you family and these arrests or near arrests? What's with your brother that shouldn't find the pot?

What's with "putting it to good use?"

Ok first, Italiano715, its not false araliia. And no lol, i have never seen or heard of mainstream tv. But anyway, im not over 15 and i don't really know much about mj in the first place. I just joined this site to post a quick thread asking what it was and what I should do about it. To make it easier for you to explain i am 14. And yes, they do tell us in school that drugs are horrible. I have never tried mj, but my pothead friends tried to get me to, one of them even brought some on the bus to show to me :wtf: . And on the last week of school one of them was going to give me seeds to get me to plant it, but apparently i never got them because he was arrested... Anyway, about the family near arrests, it was my dad whom my mom caught smoking mj with one of his friends. And my brother, i haven't caught him smoking but accidentally came upon his stash :eek: You know those medium size zip-lock bags you see at giant that are about 5 inches across? That was stuffed (and i mean stuffed) full of mj. But I didn't tell anyone though. He said he got it for $20 (yea right). And he took it and pored it out the window...

My mom is up and telling me to get off the computer for church, gtg

So is my plant it or not?

Find a way to post pictures of the actual plant, then we can help you. Minimize the extraneous details, it just adds to the confusion and comedy factor.

If its regular bagseed of unknown quality then don't waste your time or effort.

that's not marijuana, when I was young we found a bunch of that and thought it was..since then I've seen lots of it on dirt roads...pull it anyways..if I didn't smoke it and I was weeding my yard there wouldn't be any question to me, I would've pulled it up in a heartbeat

Even if you don't use marijuana be a real friend and strongly advise your friend that he is to never take pot to school especially the bus. The bus is full of idiots who will tell on you. It's no double standard at all. it's called using my judgement as well as applying the rules. First of all if I didn't find out the age someone would get pissed and say I jumped the gun. I have done this to several underage posters who had questions that demonstrated a major lack of information. Unless the thread is something so ridiculous as "I'm only 15 years old and I have no car can someone hook me up" I make sure their questions are answered before they are banned. Another case is when some kid gets a brillant idea to grow pot in mom and dad's house I make sure they hear from several people how bad of an idea it is before showing them the door.

Marijuana is made to out to be the devil's weed and this website is not about that. Sending this kid on his way without straightening him out would be doing marijuana users an injustice.

I don't appreciate your inaccurate description of my moderating. I use the word inaccurate because I am quite consistent on educating the sheltered before sending them on their way and I don't really care if you agree or not.
