5 week old plant, stuck on its 3rd node.
4th node has REFUSED to grow in for the past week and a half / 2 weeks. As of yet, I've seen some wierd retarded growth at the top, looking similar to a small rolled up ball string you'd make out of boredom from loose hemming in your clothes.
Has anyone had a situation like this?
The pics provided were taken days ago, but after seeing new retarded growth earlier today I'll be sure to take a pic tomorrow morning.

yeah, it looks like something cut or snipped the top off, after something like that happens, there might be a lttle bit of the stem that shrivels and then dies. Similar to the trimming of fam leaves
exactly, but thats the thing.. i havent cut it, fimmed it, topped it or anythin. for the 5 weeks its been growin, its jus simply stopped.. only stress i had it under for the 1st 3 weeks was just a lil irregular light schedule and heat stress for when i was building my grow bin. The other 9 are doing great but this one is just acting so Stimpy (thats its new name lol). When I do somethin to a plant, like LST, top, fim etc, I label and date its action on its pot. No new top is really growing in at all. Two fan leaves from the node thats SUPPOSED to be coming in, appear warped and twisted around eachother.
have any pets like a cat? cats seem to love to eat the plants and could have bitten the top off
it really does look like it was FIM'd... i would be surprised if you see shoots start coming out there over the next couple days... thats basically exactly what my FIMd plant looked like after a week or so after i did it
nope, no action was takin on this one.. no pets at all.. its just me around these kids, i like to jus sit and watch them.. like 10 hrs a day, 7 days a week.. i've no choice but to give this one more time and see wat happens with it, but I've started germinating more as a plan B..
speaking of FIM, I did attempt this on 4 kids.. 2 were topped. For the FIM part, I'm not sure but i feel like i fucked up, as the new shoots came in from after the cut, it appeared that i merely only cut off half of the two fan leaves and left the new shoots in tact. But according to the pictures I've seen, my cuts started out the same. Is that what normally happens when it comes to FIMming?
Not really up on femming. From the pic it looks like it will start branching like it was topped. 1 out of 10 and something wierd happens. We always have about 2 out of 10 that are runts or misformed and started out as good or better than the rest. That's our reason for not all our eggs in one basket.
If that was my only plant or a female mother I would die. But then again it's still alive. Where there is life there is hope.
I had one do that last year. It topped itself at about the third node. It then developed two shoots from the second node that later became nice colas. That same plant also had growth shoots that topped themselves.

It seems to have topped itself! What strain was yours? I'm jus growin bag seed, so no idea what it could be.. Dude, if this turns out female I am SOO goin hermie with it!
According to the pic, either its growing 2 tops, or a 3rd branch with 1 top.. Either way, I'm stoked to find out its not full retard!
If you think thats weird, look at the little plant in my thread in my sig. About the 3rd node it broke into 4 stalks, 2 big, 2 small.....

Hey sheist. My strain was White Widow x Skunk, feminized. It yielded over 2 oz of high quality bud despite it being a hermie. If I ever have another plant top itself I'll clone the heck out of it.
Here is a pic of one of the shoots that topped itself and one of the harvest. There's a few more pics in my grow log but most of the posts were lost when cannabis.com had server problems.

yeah I had one that I named stumpy cuz it did absolute NOTHING after just about 4-6 weeks and at the same time I had 4 from the seed all timed exactly the same. 2 are now 3 ft. and it never reached over 10 inch. tall.. I remembered something happening in the germination phase that I had forgot about til just now. That one had been in the paper towel method for 4 more days than the others. However once it hit the soil the were all at 1inch. 2inch. together tin timeing. so it still is kinda puzzleing but I've got the same kinda thing going with a Bubble Gum pair of seeds. so we'll see
