I'm blazed, and this is the best I could do, off the top of my head real fast.
Old- Lynyrd Skynyrd - simple man
kinda old - styx - renegade
newish - deftones ft. dude from Tool - passenger
new- nothing is good these days.
^agreed theres no good new shit in rock, only thing i liked in the last year was green days new cd and rammstiens was decent.
Well, Tool has been producing a new album for a few years now which is supposed to be harder than anything else they have put out. If it isn't good im going to kill andy.
Black Sabbath- Sweet Leaf
Iron Maiden- Run To The Hills
Led Zepplin- Just about all
I like real rock more than anything. I hate rap, hip-hop, and pop.
nirvana-sliver
Led Zeppelin- All Of My Love
jimi hendrix - purple haze
Slayer - Angel of death
RIP ODB, Tool's lead singer is Maynard James Keenan.
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (especially the guitar solo at the end)
Lynyrd Skynrd - Simple Man
Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knockin'
All of Tool
NIN - The Perfect Drug
Cradle of Filth - At the Gates of Midian (way too short but oh so good)
Black Dog - Led Zepplin
Follow Me - Rory Gallagher (1948-1995)
fav song is probly.....disciple by slayer
if you want to listen to some new metal that doesnt suck....listen to devin townsend....its really good.
ATM it's While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Burning of the Midnight Lamp - Hendrix
42
white zombie- grease paint and monkey guts
marilyn manson-get your gunn
wow, we've got some other tool fans
gotta go with reflection by tool
Well itll have to be 5 cos I couldnt be fucked singleing a favourite.
1.Tool- Third Eye
2.Smashing Pumpkins- Disarm
3.Orgy- 107 (Dont know if Orgy can count but theyr still good)
4.Opeth- Demon of the Fall
5.Dimmu Borgir- Eradication Instincts
It's a tie between these three awesome songs.
Johnny Cash - I Fought the Law
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues
Iggy Pop and the Stooges - The Passenger
Ozzy and Lita Ford - "If i close my eyes forever"
demon hunter - i play dead

The only new rock cd I like to listen to now while stoned is by the "Eagles of Death Metal"
Slayer-God Send Death (i love this shit)

Children of the Sun - Billy Thorpe
Strapping Young Lad- Underneath The Waves
Porcupine Tree- Even Less
Opeth- Master's Apprentice
David Bowie- Station To Station
Megadeth- My Last Words
Mr. Bungle- Sweet Charity
Judas Priest- Painkiller
Marilyn Manson- Great Big White World
Devin Townsend- Earth Day
...I think I have a few hundred "favorite songs"
guns n' roses - paradise city
Any Tool, NIN or Type O negative.
Most Headstones, and most Nirvana (for all you people out there its pronounced NUR VAHN UH, not Ner VAN ah...sorry pet peeve and it seems like almost everyone pronounces it like that, even radio jocks...lol) and most Slayer
And, just because its "almost" in this category Id say all Rage against the machine (could also be put in fave "rap" category though too ;))
Now we have to do a "fave rap song" category Jug :)
Sorry for the generalizations I could never pick a favourite song overall for any of those above groups really.(maybe , just maybe Jerk off, off the Opiate Album by tool , and perhaps Type O's "green man" but this would probably change if I was pressured into making them my "final answer")
Sympathy for the Devil by the STONES
bon jovi - living on a prayer
Eric Clapton - Sunshine Of Your Love

Ramble on from led zepellin, this has been a amazing song to study,,i guess the drums with the out of synch timing and guitar tuning made this one all time great for me..also for some modern bands..soundgarden...my wave.....
Since i have did a few recordings with Matt i come to like his style of playing. there is heaps of fav rock tunes i guess but it would have to depend on how high i am ......
You're a Fucking Bastard by The Exploited, best aggressive killing song ever!!! :)
Die, Die, Die My Darling... Misfits anyone?
