Oh man, too much Zoloft?

Okay, so last night at about 6:30 to 7:00 I was bored and, after reading posts on this board, decided to go ahead and take some Zoloft. Only....I took 8 of them. 50 mgs, just to see if anything happened to me. I was severely depressed, so I did take it to be recreational, but I also took it to see if it'd actually take away my depression.
Good news is, it worked. For about 2 and a half to 3 hours, I had energy, I was laughing and smiling, jammin' out to music. Then my heart beat starts feeling weird and I start overheating, I'm tired and sluggish as crap.

So, at about 10 pm I lay down in bed trying to sleep. "Just sleep and when you wake up, it'll all go away." So, I laid in bed for 10 hours (literally) trying to sleep. From 10 pm until 8 am this morning I was lying in bed trying to sleep. I tried so many positions, and each one of them was more uncomfortable than the last. My teeth then started chattering uncontrollably, unless I clamped them down. This made sleep next to impossible. Then I started getting really hot, even with my fan on. I remove my thin blanket and open up the window. It was actually nice out, about 40-45. Well, anyway....I've been up for 24 hours straight.

I'm never doing Zoloft ever again. Even if a doctor were to try and put me on it, I wouldn't take it. It's really fucking with my body. My legs and muscles are jittery and they can hardly be used. When I stand, I feel like just falling because my legs can't hold me. They shake and wobble. My teeth keep chattering nonstop when they're not clamped tight, my pupils are huge as crap and I can't focus on one object without my eyes going nutso facto and the world "jumping" in my vision. I can't sit still for shit, and I'm completely and totally indifferent. "I need to take a shower. But I dont' want to take a shower. Well, I want to, I just don't WANT to." "I need to eat something, I'm starved. But...I don't want to eat. Everything seems gross. Well, I want to eat, I just don't want to eat." ETC ETC Not to mention the fact that I have severe insomnia and body temp changes. I've been up since 2 pm yesterday and I feel as if I woke up 2 hours ago. My head is also starting to kill me, and as I said with the body temp, it's roughly......68 degrees in my house, I'm in nothing but my boxers, and I'm sweatin' like a pig. At the same time though, my skin is cold, and my hands are clammy.


It blows. I'm hoping this shit stops within the next couple days. I don't think I'm ever going to do another pill "recreationally" for the rest of my life.

This experience has actually turned me off to all kinds of synthetic highs. From now on, the only drug I'm ever going to think about using (or abusing, ^_~) is the green, sweet, sweet ghanj.

Anyone know when all these things will subside? I took 400 mg, 6 foot, 230.

I dont know why you would even want to take that much Zoloft for recreational use, there for depression a chemicle imbalence in your brain those pills have no recreational use at ALL,...well i guess if you want to get really drunk you could take a zoloft and feel the magic unfold

Well hopefully you're all better now. I am on Zoloft for depression. I took 300mg every single day for 3 years before weaning down to 100mg day.

I do believe the whole thing was psychosymatic, as the Zoloft would most likely made you have the shits, or upset stomach, or keep you from getting a hard on for a week.

It cannot be used in the way you prescribed yourself.

Zoloft takes about 4-6 weeks to take effect. It supresses re-absorption of seratonin to make more available when you need it. But it takes time for this blood chemistry to work, so odds are you just freaked out.

Taking Zoloft to get high is like eating your own shit in front of a chick to get a date.

By the way you sound, you may want to take 100mg a day for 6 weeks and then see how you feel. In the meantime, I would pound the Xanax if I were you.

DONT DO THIS CRAP its does barely shit and is gay as hell...it will mess with u in the long run trust me my friends all f*cked up from it. Trust me do other stuff not this crap :mad:

ZOLOFT IS GOOD IF YOU NEVER EVER PLAN ON QUITTING IT.i was on it for two years and went off it,it took me about a YEAR to feel 'NORMAL' AGAINthat drug is terrible,you will see the hard way.
