need historical information...all of it
sterilized everything with alcohol, took clones, dipped in clonex rooting gel, put in clonex root riot grow plugs, misted dome with RO water + clonex clone solution as directed. Grow tray on 85° heat mat, underneath CFL.
You need a dome..... humidity, temp and low wattage are the keys.
You want your humidity to be 80-90% and your temp to be 75-80*F inside the dome.... you only need 15 watts to get the roots to start......If you use to many watts you are forcing the plant to produce new vegitational growth.....low watts makes the roots develope....I use 1 - 4 ft shop light 40 watts
First 4-5 days take the lid/dome off (5 min) to let fresh air in the dome....after a week you can crack the lid and leave it cracked.
I have almost a 100% clone rate except for the Sour Diesel.... shes a bitch to get to root.... took me 7 weeks to get roots on her.
If you do it right you should see roots in 2-4 weeks with most strains....See the photo below....you want moisture on the sides of the dome
I'm not a cloner...but, are they rootbound?
I have a dome, I took it off for pictures. Might be the light reason, moving to low light, hope it works thanks.
mine look like that and have started to brown and the leaves are very thin. They are supost to be wide.
How long have to had them? Have patience. It usually takes 2 weeks for them to start getting healthy again.
I'm not a cloning expert... i've only done it once and i;m in the process of my 2nd go at it... but i did have 100% success with 4 clones the first time... so take what i'm about to say with a grain of salt.
your clones seem like they might be a little tall, i can;t recall exactly, but I think when i did mine they were about 3-5" long.
imho though, and this is probably why yours are pretty droopy, you can probably cut off more of the leaves than you did, those leaves seems pretty long for a cutting with no root structure to support... the water pressure inside your plant is probably a little on the low side which is causing them to droop because the cutting can;t keep the water pressure up.
if you cut back the leaves some more it might help (maybe experiment on one)... if you can get your humidity up as high as possible that would help too (spray water inside the dome to bump it up quickly)
My clones are all about 4" tall. They look better under the low light and not the high power cfl. I am misting 2x a day. I'll trim and check, thanks all!
Update. They all stand on their own now! but no roots showing through the bottoms yet. Mom is still recovering and no growth sighted.
My caretaker tells me all the clones have roots sticking out their grow plugs! Pic update wednesday, gotta finish final exams tuesday and get home to growin!
