I don't have an apple or the cord to my digital camera at the moment, so I made this drawing which should illustrate the basic idea (click it to read what I wrote):

There are two problems with those instructions: 1) you really don't want to be smoking out of aluminium foil and 2) the pen is pointless. If you want to add burnt aluminium and plastic to your taste, go ahead, but I find all I need to add at most is a screen which can be found in any standard faucet. The place where the stem is makes a natural bowl for you.
I never made one, for the simple reason that I'm scared I would cut myself trying to cut the apple.

It's not weak at all. It gives you just as powerful a hit as any other bowl, it's just a more temporary solution.
And don't be afraid of cutting yourself. You don't need a knife to make the holes. A pen or anything else that's long, thin and hard will suffice (get your minds out of the gutter, you know what I'm trying to say).
hey the aluminium bowl is cool. oh, and it wont taste aluminium if u smoke with some, and wont taste plastic either he just used the pen to make a hole :confused:

Aluminium is bad juju for smoking, you can put the bud directly in the apple without making a bowl or screen, just pull the stem off, use the guts of the pen to bore out the where the stem was, then use the barrel of the pen to dig out a mouthpiece. pretty easy, and better than nothing, a potato also works, but after a while your weed starts tasting like french fries.
