Fourth Grow Log SNL x NH and BB
I will be germinating about 4 seeds of the sour northern lights x nevilles haze and a week later germinating 4 seeds of the blueberry.
The seeds have been sitting in a light-proof camera bag with an airtight container inside of two separate small plastic baggies with a paper towel for about 1.5 years.
I am going to be visiting the local hydro shop for some supplies as I am planning on doing a soil grow, been thinking about fox farm but very open to suggestions.
I am going to get a new 400w HPS bulb at the hydro shop as well, but I won't need it until after the seeds have been transplanted from rooters to a bigger pot. For my veg light I will be using a t5 fluoro as well as a 105watt cool colored cfl.
The tent will be vented into the attic after passing through a carbon filter.
I haven't started germinating because I have yet to actually move into my new house as well as being hung up on what "soil" to use. I want to keep it very basic so that I can learn exactly what does what. I'm excited to learn more about botany while saving money too!
I'll update with pictures in about a week 5/26 after I have set up the room and germinated the seeds, thanks!

So I planted 4 seeds of the SNL x NH in a tray from home de pot i got from some flowers. They are under a 125w cfl and I'm going to replace that with 4 2' t5's later today so that i can get an even and more efficient light on the seedlings.
How do they look? They're in some Fox Farms Light Warrior and am planning on adding some food in 5 or so days. I will be constructing my flower section mostly next week, as my landlord is still here working on the house I just moved into lol.
"Go ahead, call the cops; hell my doctor's probably in his office and his number's on the bottom of the rec!"

12,000 initial lumens according to Envirolite 125w Daylight - The Grow Store but that's probably if it was horizontal and very close.

Hello all!
The small one popped up that wasn't germinated behind my router while the tall one was behind it. Note: 1 of 2 have germed so far from the router warmer, while 1 of 2 have sprouted from the ones just put in the dirt and nothing else for 1.5 years in my drawer in a little airtight capsule. Should I get more lights i.e. 2-4 t5's instead of that big one? I just need to have 6-8 in those little pots plus enough light for 6 vegging plants.
Thanks for looking and toke up

So the 2 seedlings are now 7 days old from being put in the ground and I planted two more seeds that are 2 days old now.
I am planning on moving towards a micro grow, harvesting 1-3 plants a week every week for the year I'm in this house. That totals out to about 18 plants total in the flowering room, which is not bad at all considering the size of the plants and their containers which will be in red beer pong cups.
Once the seedlings have two sets of true leaves I am going to transplant them into the cups with some fox farms ocean forest with an added 1/3 perlite. That helps the pots not get waterlogged when I water them, much like an ebb and flow. Dr.Bud says to submerge the pots into a reservoir and let the water seep in from the bottom up, pushing out bad gases. Then when you have let the water soak to the top you move it to a tray where it can drain. The draining process pulls in new oxygen to the roots and this makes the most out of the space the roots will have to work with.
Cheers!

Picked up 7 total clones yesterday consisting of 3 White Widow, 2 G13, and 2 Sour Diesel. Filled up some party cups with fox farms light warrior and soaked in RO water with 2 tbl/gal fox farms big bloom. Will transplant into Ocean Forest in a week or so and then eventually 1 gallon then 3 gallon buckets.
I'm planning on keeping one of every strain in veg long enough to take clones; excited to see how it will turn out.
My ultimate plan for this 1 year grow in my house is to have 6 plants in 3 gallon buckets and small micro plants in party cups filling up the canopy. I will FIM the 3 gallon plants while letting the micro plants do their single cola thing to further fill in the canopy.
What do you all think? In the next month there will be much more to discuss, I'm sure  :stoned:
Party on Wayne!

good choice of strains. I've gotta get some G13. I think that'll be my next purchase.

Thanks! They were the last ones my friend had but I did like the selection. :)
I am mostly looking forward to the northern lights crossed with nevilles haze; nevilles haze has a 12 week finish usually so I'm expecting a big high from those girls :D
After a week of them being in the party cups I'm going to see if they're ready to go into bigger buckets w/ veg nutes.
Thanks for looking!:hippy:

I'm in the finishing stages of putting a cab together; it's getting caulked as we speak. Two more seeds sprouted today, increasing the successfulness of just throwin' the damn beans into the FF:LW mix to 3 naturally selected seeds out of 4.
I've been measuring the weight of the clones, and it seems they lose about 1-2oz per day of water at this point in their lives; meaning roots are just coming out of the rockwool and into the soil.
Here are some pictures related to the cab I am building. If anyone has suggestions let me know!

Looking good my man, what light are you going to flower with?
-
Fourth Grow Log SNL x NH and BB
I'm going to use a 400w HPS using a homemade bake a round cooltube
I want 4 plants per square foot :D

Fourth Grow Log SNL x NH and BB
do you plan on flipping them soon? 4 plants per square foot is a bunch. even in a sea of green they say you should have 6" between stems.
you might want to plan accordingly.

Yes I'm going to flower all but one of each strain when my bake a round arrives. 4 per foot is ideal, but obviously I'll need to work towards it. 8 square feet my hps is going to light up, so hoping for some good penetration.

4 per sq ft is ideal for what? you do realize that they will double or triple in size once you flip them.

It is actually more like 9 per sq ft, but it is a very efficient way to grow because you have more nugs per inch and less waste.
I didn't take the cuttings I have, so they are way too big to pack in at 9 per sq ft in flower. Eventually when I take my own cuttings I will be able to throw each cut into flower at the correct height so that they all finish at the same distance.
-
Fourth Grow Log SNL x NH and BB
so you are talking about a sea of green?
if so then yes, you can get about 9 plants per square foot, with 6" per stem. if you want to do this then you put them into flower as soon as they have a solid root structure.

Exactly:pimp:
Now define; "solid root structure"
In regards to cuttings, when there is one or two roots sticking out of the rapid rooter / cube?
In regards to seedlings, when there is more than one complete set of true leaves?
Thanks for the correspondence :D
The first picture is of the veg house and my cardboard door.
The second is of my white widow, g13, and sour diesel.
The third is a sour northern lights x nevilles haze seedling.

i haven't really messed with cloning myself. but i would say that's good. as long as they are standing strong and healthy without a humidity dome or anything.
as far as seedlings, i would say once they are mature, or they have opposite leaves.
i like the veg house. cardboard is my friend too!
the ladies look very nice!
keep up the good work.

cmasfca, I like your cab, that thing looks huge! How did you fit it into the closet?
Nice collection of strains you've got there, are you planning on growing them all at once?
You're doing things similar to how I want to run my grow, so I'll be following this.

I sent five plants into flower yesterday; 1 G13, 1 White Widow, and 2 Sour Northern Lights x Nevilles Haze. It's night in there now so I will post pictures of them tomorrow.
I have changed my lighting setup and I am now using 4 42w soft white cfl's in order to keep temps down in the cab. It sucks because I spent a whole day building a cooltube using the bake a round and it works awesome except for the fact that I would have to upgrade my fan in order to cool the 400w hps.
I will be adding 4 more 42w for every 5 or so plants as they go into the cab.
My weekly work will include sending 5 into flower, 7 clones into veg, 10 cuttings into the cloner, and cutting ~5 plants. Oh ya and watering them every 3-5 days.
Here is my g13 that's going into flower and my cat that was laying there comatose in that position for an hour before I snapped that pic; I'm going to start growing some cat nip for my cats so they stop chewing on the cannabis leaves!!!~

Hello everyone! I apologize for the delay in updates, but my computer shitted on me and so I have lost all backup pictures / data for this grow.
Anyways, five are pictured here in flower, two are a seed run, 1 g13, 1 white widow, and 1 sour diesiel.
Using 4 42 watt cfl 2700's currently, adding another set of 4 for the next 5 plants I throw into flower. Going to take clones soon, making a mother of g13, white widow, sour diesiel, and snl x nh.
Cheers

looking good cma! nice selection.
the SNL x NH sounds awesome.
sorry to hear about the computer. that sucks.
that looks like one of my cats. two of the three won't leave my leaves alone either. i thought about growing cat nip too. i still might.

Ya well we had some catnip sprout but my roommate killed it when he put it outside for some reason. Then we can't find the rest of the seeds we got from Home de Pot so the catnip has been put on hold. Haha thanks I'm looking forward to the next 8 weeks :)

Hello everyone! Two days ago I put 5 white widow clones into flower, totaling out to 10 plants under those 4 42watt cfls. Here are a few pics, enjoy :) :stoned:
